Tristan spent the next few days alone in the mansion, the Alpha King left without as much as a word to him.
On the third day, he started getting worried as it was getting too long that they have been apart.
He was in the dining room for lunch when someone walked in, he was relieved for a second thinking the Alpha had returned and only to meet Gale's gaze as he looked up from his food.
The beta could not believe his eyes and he stared too long at the Omega that looked like he had appeared out of nowhere.
"Hey, you are back?" He asked, without hiding his disapproval.
"I can't believe the Alpha didn't say anything!" Gale thought angrily.
He had believed the Omega was gone from the Alpha's life but he was wrong.
Tristan nodded and turned his attention back to his food. He was disappointed and sad.
He wished the Alpha returned very soon or he would start getting very worried.
Gale turned to leave the room, annoyed by the way Tristan had responded to him but he suddenly stopped.
