Just like that, time passed.
Two whole minutes slow, heavy, and strangely still.
Both Razeal and Maria remained locked in that kiss, neither moving, neither daring to breathe too deeply. The water around them felt quiet, thick, as if even the ocean itself was holding its breath, afraid to disturb the fragile moment.
Maria's hand was clenched tightly, her fingers curling around the torn fabric of her clothes, trembling slightly. Every instinct in her screamed to push him away, to resist, to break free but she didn't.
