Lunaria stood before a massive, broken statue — a forgotten god of sanity.
Around her, the floor was covered in chains, books, and bones of other versions of Ravian.
> "How many times has he failed?" she asked.
A shadow replied:
> "Seventeen."
Each Ravian had tried to break the curse. Each had lost himself.
She clenched her fist.
"I won't let this one die."
From behind her, the chains snapped.
The statue opened its eyes.
The Dead God spoke:
