I creaked the door open, and her sisters turned to me immediately.
"Sophia, please…" That's was what I managed to say before her face lighten up.
"Leon!" She gasped, rushing into my arms. She wrapped herself around me tightly, her voice trembling with relief. "I knew you would come. I knew it."
She turned to her sisters, smiling brightly. "Please excuse us. My husband and I are about to have our first time."
Her sisters shrieked excitedly and hurried out, giggling as they went.
"Close the door behind you," I said quietly.
The door clicked shut, and the room fell into silence.
I took her hands gently. "Sophia, there's something I have to tell you."
Her expression softened, eyes glowing with affection. "What is it, my love?"
I hesitated. My voice faltered. "I'm not sure how you'll react to this… because it's a bit much."
The light in her eyes dimmed almost instantly, as if her instincts were warning her before I even spoke.
