Chapter 3 - The Family and the Sun

A month has passed since I got somehow used to my new situation. My another world theory was also confirmed by the shattered moon I could see in the sky at night, but night is an overstatement in this world no "night" was truly like back on earth. The time periods were separated into two groups: the bright week and the dark week. Because of the fact that this planet features two suns, one of which considerably slower than the other one, days were measured by the faster one while the slower, and dimmer one, took two weeks to complete full cycle, meaning that when it was on your half of the planet the week was a light one, and when it wasn't - it was a dark one, which was just like the normal week back on Earth.

Over the past month I've also learned a lot about my new family. My mother was a medium height blond woman with green eyes and a friendly smile, she also was the owner and one of the two workers of the blacksmith the family run, although I rarely left the second floor of our house, she sometimes took me downstairs and let me watch while she worked tirelessly to create intricate blades, armor and even cutlery. From what I understood the position of adventurer was really popular in this world, and these adventurers were her main source of income. I hadn't been able to learn what these people do while "adventuring", but I'd hoped to find out soon. The man helping my mother out with her work, and the main force of the shop these days as she still spent a lot of time looking after me, was named Culo. He had dark brown hair and a pretty toned build, back on Earth he would've been bigger than some professional bodybuilders. His endurance was also crazy high because he was working tirelessly for many hours on end, helping my mom out with her work.

But the shop wasn't our family's main source of income, my father was. He was a tall and brown haired man with grey eyes and a very serious demeanor, I've only seen him smile once since I arrived in this world, and that was on the day I was born (again). I saw him very rarely because he left early in the morning and came back late at night, but my mother was angry with him, but to be honest she wasn't angry at anyone ever, she was a very lighthearted and uplifting person all the way to the core. Sometimes even too uplifting as she often kept being nice even to those customers who were obnoxious or very arrogant.

Although my new body was very underdeveloped it was still quite different from my old one, the main difference was the fact that this time, I wasn't sick. My body was very healthy actually although still an infant my muscle function was kinda similar to the one I had back on earth. The main difference though were the bowel problems, and the need to be breastfed, which was quite uncomfortable to partake in for an twenty eight year old man, especially if it was done by a woman who was convinced that I was her firstborn child.
