Chapter 61 - 61: How Did You Become So Smart?

The school was still as dull and uneventful as ever. Yusuke spent the day the same way he usually did, flirting with his two girls, dozing off during class, and sneaking in a threesome on the rooftop.

"See you later, Yu-kun!"

"See you later, Yu-sama!"

After agreeing to meet at Raynare's villa later, Murayama and Aika left the school first, while Yusuke made his way toward the Student Council room.

Kalawarna and Raynare were both busy transferring their assets to him. Yusuke also forbade them from wandering too close to the Kuoh Academy, since he had no intention of getting dragged into unnecessary conflict.

"Yusuke!" As soon as he stepped into the corridor leading to the Student Council room, he was greeted by Tsubaki, who was already waiting for him. She skipped forward and threw herself into his arms, her soft, buxom figure pressing against him.

"Why did you ignore all my messages yesterday?"

"Sorry, I forgot to check my phone," Yusuke pecked her lips and replied with an apologetic smile. "Thank you for yesterday, and also for helping Aika's mom."

From Tsubaki, he learned everything that had happened; how she and Sona blocked Rias and Akeno, how she healed Aika's mom, erased her memories of the incident, and even repaired the shattered windows.

"Don't thank me, it's what I want to do. Didn't I promise to always support you and help you? After all, I am your girlfriend, right?" Tsubaki tightened her hold on him, whispering in a sweet tone. Her face glowed with bliss as she clung to him for a long moment before reluctantly pulling away.

"Let's go, we should meet Sona-sama," she said.

"Alright," Yusuke nodded, and the two walked into the room hand in hand.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Inside the Student Council room, the sound of heels taping on the floor echoed as Sona paced back and forth. Her heartbeat followed the same rhythm as her steps. She was about to finally meet Yusuke face to face, and the mix of excitement and nervousness made it impossible for her to stay still.

To avoid giving him a bad impression and to maintain her dignity as the King of her peerage, she dismissed all her members. She had carefully dolled herself up, wearing a purple dress embroidered with golden patterns along the long sleeves and around the open neckline. A pair of matching purple heels completed her look.

Sona couldn't remember ever dressing up so carefully just to meet someone. The sudden rush of love left her both happy and overwhelmed. It had happened too suddenly, too fast. Just one glance, and she had fallen for him.

In the days that followed, she buried herself in books, trying to understand what love really was. From them, she learned that love was anything but logical. You could spend a lifetime with someone and never feel it, yet a single meeting with another could make you feel as if they were your missing half.

The books she read obviously exaggerated love, painting it in the most glorious light, yet to someone inexperienced like her and with her own unique situation, they felt completely convincing. Some passages even described her feelings with uncanny accuracy.

"Why is Tsubaki taking so long?" Sona muttered in frustration, biting her nails as she stared at the door.

The door suddenly opened, and Tsubaki entered, followed by Yusuke. "Sona-sama, I brought him," she announced.

"..." Her Queen had spoke to her, but Sona didn't seem to have heard Tsubaki. Her eyes, no, her entire being, was fixed on the man behind her. Her body seemed to move on its own as she walked slowly toward him and extended her hand. A smile spread across her face, both beautiful and creepy at the same time. She introduced herself, "Pleased to meet you, Yusuke Aoki. I am Sona Sitri, the heiress of the Sitri Clan."

"Nice to meet you, Miss Sona," Yusuke said, taking her hand with a light smile, acting as if he didn't notice the tremor running through her body when she touched him. "Thank you for your help yesterday. I am indebted to you."

'Yusuke's hand, I am holding Yusuke's hand!' Sona screamed inside her mind, staring at the hand she held. She froze for over half a minute before snapping back to reality and shaking her head frantically. "No! No! You don't have to thank me! That's what I have to do!"

'Damn it! Why am I acting so weird! What if I creep him out?! But… but I am holding his hand! His hand is so firm… so warm… so good… I want him to hold me, to caress my body! Ahn♡!' Sona shook her head inwardly, trying to banish the thoughts. She reluctantly pulled her hand back to avoid creeping him out and said elegantly, "Please take a seat."

She turned to ask Tsubaki to make tea, but found that the latter was already preparing it. She sat down facing Yusuke and smiled. "I heard from Tsubaki that you have many things you want to know about the supernatural world, the other races, magic, and mythologies."

Gracefully crossing her legs and placing both hands on her knees, she looked every bit a proper young lady, though in reality, she was just trying to hide the leaking juices dripping from her thighs.

"Indeed, but what I am more interested in is how to use magic. Tsubaki told me that I am very gifted in this regard," Yusuke replied earnestly. He stood up and bowed slightly. "I know that I already owe you a favor, but I hope that you and Tsubaki could teach me how to use magic."

"If you need anything in exchange, as long as it is within my capacity, I will repay you."

Yusuke knew that Sona was 99 percent a Yandere, madly in love with him. Even if he stepped on her head and arrogantly ordered her to teach him, she would have gladly complied. But he was someone who disliked violence and oppressing others. In fact, he was very easygoing. As long as no one hurt him, he would not try to hurt anyone on his own initiative.

Sona had helped him stop Rias and Akeno. Even if it was partly due to Tsubaki's interference, he still owed her a favor, so he tried to be polite when asking for her help to teach him.

Yusuke stared at the quest calmly, without the slightest surprise. He had been expecting it to appear ever since he stepped into the room.

'Anything? He said anything?! Then can I ask him to marry me?' The moment Sona heard his words, her mind began to wander.

She imagined them holding a grand wedding on her clan's territory, inviting everyone to celebrate. Her father, mother, and sister would shed tears of joy, while Rias and Akeno gritted their teeth in frustration. He would hold her close and kiss her romantically, whispering, 'I love you, Sona.'

"Enjoy your tea," Tsubaki's voice suddenly interrupted her daydreaming. When Sona raised her head to meet her gaze, she saw Tsubaki staring at her with a smile. Immediately, her face heated up, as if she had been seen through completely.

"Cough!" Sona lifted the teacup and took a light sip, then spoke, trying to sound calm. "You don't have to be so serious, Yusuke-san. I will be more than glad to help you."

She put down the cup and stood. "I happen to be free right now. Let's start with the basics immediately."

"Sure," Yusuke sensed her impatience and suppressed a smile as he stood and followed her. Sona walked to a bookshelf and pressed a switch, revealing a spacious secret room.

...

On the other side, in the Occult Research Club.

Akeno's mood today was terrible, to say the least. Dark circles had faintly appeared under her eyes. She hadn't gotten a wink of sleep last night, thinking about what had happened yesterday. "What are you doing, Rias?" she asked, glancing at the red-haired girl sitting on the desk while sipping a cup of coffee.

"I am learning how to apologize sincerely," Rias said, raising her head from the book she was reading before looking down again.

"Apologizing? You want to go and apologize to Yusuke?" Akeno set her cup on the table and walked behind Rias. She tilted her head to the side and read the title on the cover, 'I'm Sorry: The Art of Apology and the Gift of Forgiveness'.

"Why would you do that?" Akeno asked, confused. She couldn't see how such a simple action could mend their relationship with Yusuke after what had happened.

"I have been collecting all kinds of information about Yusuke last night. I used everything I could get my hands on, and from my understanding of him, he is a good-natured person. He is also someone who doesn't like to be pushed around," Rias said, looking up from the book and staring back at Akeno as she shared what she believed was her understanding of Yusuke. "This type of person only responds in kind when pressured and is actually very weak to soft approaches."

Rias licked her lips seductively. "As long as I show my remorse and regret and apologize sincerely, there is a very high chance he will forgive me. After all, I may have schemed against him and his two women, but ultimately no real harm has come to them."

"..." Akeno stared at Rias as if she were seeing her for the first time. Her gaze shifted from the book back to her several times before she exclaimed, "Rias, how did you become so smart?!"

"Shouldn't you be hotheaded, prideful, impulsive, and stupid?! Why are you acting so calm and collected right now?!"

Smack!

"Akeno!!!" Veins bulged around Rias's temples as she smacked the book onto Akeno's head and roared in fury. "How could you be so mean?!"

"Fufufu~! That's the Rias I know! So violent and rash. For a moment, you scared me. I thought a lizard alien had taken your place," Akeno said, touching her head and wincing. She stepped back a few paces, a teasing smile on her face. Much of the gloom she had felt earlier seemed to lift.

"Damn you!" Rias's palm crushed the edge of the desk. She stood and angrily chased after Akeno.
