Chapter 97 - Chapter 097: Demon Power Bracelet! The Strength Skyrocketed Again!

"You actually did it… you moved the power of a demon!"

The Beast's eyes widened, its voice filled with disbelief.

Nathan calmly nodded. "Yes," he replied with quiet confidence. "I moved it."

"But… how?" the Beast asked, stunned. "How did you sever my connection with it?"

Nathan shrugged slightly, his voice casual but firm: "Science."

The Beast growled, not out of anger, but out of genuine confusion. "That power belongs to me. It was shaped by my will. How can you format my influence out of it?"

Nathan stepped away from the containment unit and began typing instructions into his quantum computing system. "It wasn't hard," he said. "The power was active and erratic—like a corrupted file. So, I cleaned the metadata."

He turned back to the containment field, watching the dark swirling energy within a special glass tube. "You left electromagnetic imprints—traces of your consciousness—embedded into the energy. Once I realized that, I simply used high-intensity magnetic fields to scrub those imprints clean."

The Beast fell silent.

Whether it was from confusion, defeat, or awe, Nathan couldn't tell. But the look in its black, bottomless eyes was one of shock.

"You're a monster." the Beast muttered after a long pause.

Nathan smirked but said nothing.

The sample he had extracted—pure demonic energy—swirled within its magnetic prison. It was dark, impossibly dark, absorbing light like a black hole, yet pulsing with an eerie glow. Even standing near it gave off a sensation of cold dread.

And yet… Nathan could feel its potential.

"This... is demonic power," he said to himself. "Incredibly dangerous... but immensely powerful."

The next step was clear.

"Now I need to find a way to inject this into a test subject," he said, "while suppressing the side effects. If I succeed, I'll gain another exponential boost in strength."

He already had someone in mind: X-24, a genetically engineered clone capable of withstanding extreme trauma. Nathan quickly left the lab and headed to the secure safehouse where X-24 was held.

---

Meanwhile, back at the Hand Organization headquarters, tension was building.

Several elders gathered in a dimly lit meeting hall.

"It's been days," one elder muttered. "Why hasn't the leader returned?"

"Could something have gone wrong?" another added, gripping the edge of the table. "She took the Carbonadium blade… there's no reason for her to vanish unless—"

"Silence!" another barked. "The leader is strong. She's fused with the Evil God—it's only a matter of time before she returns."

Yet, none of them knew that their "invincible leader" was currently chained in a lab, being experimented on by Nathan.

The hunter had become the prey.

---

Back in the lab, Nathan initiated the first test.

Using advanced neuromagnetic probes and containment systems, he carefully injected a small amount of the demon's energy into X-24.

Almost immediately, he observed the changes.

Cellular strength increased. Muscle density expanded. Reaction time improved.

But because the dose was limited, the changes were subtle. So he increased the dosage.

Suddenly, a deep, guttural roar echoed through the lab.

The Beast's voice burst forth from the Black Sky containment pod. "You thief! That power was mine! Meant for Black Sky!"

Nathan didn't even glance at it.

"This body belongs to me now. That energy is mine to reallocate."

The Beast howled in fury, straining against the reinforced alloy chains, but its power had already waned. The more Nathan siphoned, the weaker the Beast's influence became.

As more energy was transferred into X-24, her **body surged in strength—**but something else happened.

Her pupils dilated. Her breath quickened. Her mind started to slip.

Her rationality was fading, replaced by primal aggression.

X-24 began thrashing violently, attempting to break free.

But Nathan's chains held.

Still, he recognized the danger.

"If I transfer any more, she'll lose control. Her foundational strength is already superior to Black Sky—this amplification is exponential."

He stopped the transfer.

The Beast mocked from its prison, "You dare steal from demons?! You mock the order of things! I am the devourer, not the devoured!"

Nathan ignored it and began analyzing the neurological effects of demonic energy.

He discovered something critical:

The energy stimulated the frontal lobe, increasing aggression, paranoia, and destructive tendencies.

It affected dopamine levels, producing euphoria during violence.

It weakened empathy and moral inhibition.

"So this is the price..." Nathan murmured. "To gain the power of demons… you sacrifice your humanity."

But then an idea struck him.

"What if I don't let the energy reach the brain? What if I isolate it—bind it only to the body?"

He jotted notes rapidly.

"I need to create a portable containment device—one that can hold the energy and control its flow through the body, bypassing the brain."

A wearable conduit.

Something modular. Secure. Reversible.

A demon power bracelet.

---

Within hours, Nathan had constructed the prototype: a thick, metallic wristband lined with superconductive alloys and quantum processors.

Its functions:

Absorb and store demonic power

Inject controlled amounts into the wearer's body

Bind demonic influence below the neck using directed magnetic fields

Automatically retract power if the wearer's mind destabilizes

Nathan transferred all the demon energy from X-24 into the bracelet. Then, using similar techniques, he tried extracting more from Black Sky.

Suddenly, Black Sky screamed in agony.

Her body trembled violently.

Nathan paused.

"Careful!" the Beast said, but its voice had changed. Less angry. More... cautious. "If you pull the remaining energy, she'll die. It's fused to her core now."

Nathan checked the vitals.

Black Sky's pulse was spiking. Her blood pressure crashed. She was coding.

"Damn... he's telling the truth," Nathan muttered. "For now."

He halted the transfer.

"Fine," he said aloud. "You win this round. But your secrets won't stay buried for long."

---

Next, Nathan turned his attention back to X-24.

He strapped the bracelet to her wrist and activated the flow of demonic energy into her body.

Instantly, her muscles tightened, her posture straightened, and her physical stats spiked.

But unlike before, her eyes stayed clear. Her mind stable.

Nathan watched with narrowed eyes.

Success.

The containment field within the bracelet held the energy below the neck, shielding the brain from corruption.

The Beast, watching silently from its cell, shivered.

"He did it… he really did it. He's controlling demonic power without magic."

"What kind of freak are you?" the Beast whispered. "Even I fear you now…"

Nathan said nothing, already analyzing deeper parameters.

He removed the bracelet from X-24 and placed it on his own wrist.

"Time to test it for real."

He activated the transfer.

A dark pulse surged through his body.

His skin tingled. His veins pulsed with foreign power. Every cell screamed with vitality.

"Let's see what this gets me."

He stepped into a sealed alloy chamber.

The newly rebuilt power test machine awaited. Max range: 70 tons.

He inhaled deeply, focused all his strength, and threw a punch.

BOOM!!!

The machine exploded.

The alloy chamber rattled, lights flickered, sparks flew.

The test device was obliterated, pieces flying everywhere.

Nathan stood in the wreckage, eyes wide.

"...Okay. That was more than 70 tons."

He flexed his fingers, black energy sparking at the tips.

This was only the beginning.
