Chapter 102 - Chapter 102: Hunt Down the Symbiote! I Accept This Symbiote!

Night had fallen over the outskirts of New York City. The streets were still bustling, brightly lit by neon signs and lined with a vibrant collection of food vendors. The scent of sizzling hot dogs, steaming Japanese ramen, cheesy nachos, and crispy fried chicken filled the air. Laughter echoed as people moved from stall to stall, enjoying the lively atmosphere. It was just another normal night—or so it seemed.

Amid the crowd, a little girl walked slowly, her pitch-black eyes casting an eerie reflection under the streetlights. Her presence felt wrong, off. She moved with a strange stiffness, her gaze locked onto a nearby live chicken being sold by a vendor.

"Hungry..." she whispered hoarsely.

Without warning, she lunged forward, grabbing the chicken with both hands and lifting it to her mouth. The vendor, stunned by the audacity, roared in anger, "Hey! What the hell are you doing?!"

He charged at the girl, ready to kick her away, but in a blink, her hand transformed into a sharp silver blade. With a quick slash, she opened his throat, blood spraying out in a horrifying arc. Gasps echoed from all directions.

Panic erupted instantly.

"Did... did her hand just turn into a blade?!"

"She's a monster! Deadman—she's a Deadman!"

The crowd scattered in chaos. A few brave souls grabbed firearms from nearby cars and food trucks. They took aim, faces full of fear and adrenaline.

"She's a freak! Shoot her! We can't let her escape!"

Gunfire erupted.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

But what happened next froze everyone in place. The little girl's form expanded, her skin twisting and darkening until she transformed into a towering silver monster with a terrifyingly twisted face. Bullets hit her body but did nothing—they bounced off like pebbles on armor.

Then, the creature retaliated.

Its arms morphed into enormous scythe-like blades and with one rapid flurry of slashes, it sliced down those around her. Blood splashed, bodies dropped, and the entire block became a massacre. The ones who tried to run were the most unfortunate. She was too fast. One by one, heads rolled.

After her rampage, the monster calmly began devouring the heads of the dead—one after another—until she was satisfied.

With a grotesque squelch, she shifted back into human form, now resembling the young girl again. She licked her lips, satisfied, then muttered, "Life Foundation... I'm coming."

She turned toward the city's center and began walking. Her strides were slower now.

"This body isn't suitable for me," Riot muttered from within. "It can't handle intense movements... too weak. It'll break soon."

Riot, one of the elite symbiotes, was now on the move. "I need to find my kin. Bring more to this planet. There's so much life here... it's perfect. A farm for our kind. A permanent food supply."

Back at the scene of the carnage, emergency sirens wailed. Police cars screeched into position. Behind them came black SUVs with S.H.I.E.L.D. logos emblazoned on the doors.

Agents jumped out, scanning the bloody mess. One of them pulled up surveillance footage.

"What the hell... is that?"

"That monster—it's bulletproof, bladeproof, unstoppable."

"And it eats people... we can't let this thing roam freely. We need to find it and stop it. Now!"

A shadow landed silently on a rooftop above them.

Spider-Man crouched, his masked eyes narrowing at the massacre below. His fists clenched.

"This... this is horrifying," he whispered. "Who could do something like this? So much death... this thing needs to be stopped."

He looked at the footage on the SHIELD monitor and paused.

"A little girl? No... a monster disguised as a girl." He stood up, determination surging through him. "I'll find it. I won't let anyone else die."

With that, he swung off into the night.

Meanwhile, across the city, Nathan stood before the Life Foundation headquarters. His gaze was cold and calculating.

"The strongest threats here are the symbiotes," he thought, tapping his belt lightly. "But the ones they've bonded with... they're just ordinary people or animals. The match rates are terrible. Their true potential hasn't been unlocked."

He smirked. "Which means they're no match for me."

Nathan had come prepared. Strapped to his waist were custom weapons designed specifically to counter symbiotes—and he had another edge: psychic abilities that let him sense and even capture symbiotes.

"Based on what I remember, there should only be one symbiote left inside. Venom escaped, and the other died in an experiment."

He slipped into the shadows.

Inside the Life Foundation laboratory, the air buzzed with tension. Robots armed with high-caliber rifles stood on standby. A homeless man was strapped to a pillar, groaning weakly. In front of him, a containment tank held a writhing yellowish liquid—a dormant symbiote.

Dr. Drake, the cold, ambitious founder of the Foundation, looked on with pride. "That thief stole one of my symbiotes," he growled. "But no matter. I'll make stronger, deadlier warriors. And when I find that thief, I'll kill him myself."

He gestured to a scientist. "Begin the test. Release the symbiote."

The container opened.

The symbiote lunged toward the homeless man, entered his body, and within seconds, his form twisted into a grotesque monster, nearly twice his size.

"Activate the defenses!"

Bullets rained from the ceiling turrets and robot soldiers. Sparks exploded across the symbiote's skin—but the monster didn't flinch. Even sniper shots barely dented its surface.

The monster ripped through everything—guns, robots, walls. It slammed into the reinforced lab walls next, trying to break out. But the walls held.

Dr. Drake chuckled.

"Excellent. A true alien warrior."

"His match rate's too low though," said one scientist. "He won't last more than two days at this rate."

"Then find better test subjects," Drake said, waving his hand. "I want perfection."

At that moment, the lights flickered.

The lab's control console began typing on its own.

"What the hell?!"

Lines of code appeared. The door's unlocking protocol started.

"Someone's hacking us!"

Guards ran toward the console—but invisible feet kicked them away.

"Thermal scan! Now!"

Drake stared at the tablet.

"Damn it... someone is really there! An invisible intruder! Stop him before he—"

Too late.

The door unlocking bar hit 100%.

Hissss!

The lab door opened.

A cold gust swept out.

Thud.

A giant yellow foot stepped through the doorway.

The symbiote monster emerged.

It roared with laughter, its razor fangs dripping, its eyes glowing with bloodlust.

"Now we're finished," one of the guards whispered.

They opened fire.

Useless.

The monster smashed them into pulp.

Nathan, still invisible, calmly inserted special earplugs.

"Can't risk noise attacks."

He watched the chaos unfold, unfazed.

The symbiote turned toward him. Though it couldn't see him, it could smell him.

"So fragrant... you're mine!"

With an explosive burst, it launched itself toward him.

But Nathan didn't flinch.

Instead, he calmly raised a high-frequency sonic device.

"I'll take this one," he said coolly.

And pressed the button.
