Chapter 137 - Chapter 137: Plundering Treasures

Mariejois, the Holy Land, sits atop the Red Line, serving as the headquarters of the World Government.

Every four years, the World Assembly convenes here. It is also the residence of the world nobles, the Celestial Dragons.

Atop Mariejois stands a towering castle that pierces the clouds, overlooking the world below as if keeping constant watch over every move across the seas.

This grand fortress houses the top echelon of the World Government, including the Five Elders, while the true leader of the World Government, Imu, slumbers deep within its inner gardens.

On this day, the fleet escorting the "Heavenly Tribute" had already returned.

Upon receiving reports from their subordinates, the Five Elders, following tradition, distributed the treasure to each noble family.

This batch of "Heavenly Tribute," sent from the nations of the West Blue, consisted primarily of gold, with no particularly rare items among them.

After layers of inspections and reporting, all the "Heavenly Tribute" was safely stored in each family's treasury for regular use.

Late at night, once the treasury was sealed, all of Arima's wooden clones dispelled their transformations and, using the Kamui technique, silently gathered every item visible within the stockpiles.

The clones ransacked the treasury without making a sound. Outside, no one noticed anything unusual, and astonishingly, the treasury contained no additional security measures.

It made sense, though, Mariejois was the safest place in the world, and the treasure vaults were made entirely of seastone.

No Devil Fruit user could infiltrate it undetected, let alone steal the enormous wealth inside.

Years ago, Fisher Tiger had risked his life climbing the Red Line and caused chaos in the Holy Land.

He did free some slaves, but his actions only affected the outer regions, leaving the inner core untouched.

The so-called "culprit," Fisher Tiger, was later ambushed by the Marines and died from severe injuries.

Since the World Government's founding, no one had dared target the Celestial Dragons' treasury, and over time, its defenses had grown lax.

After the clones finished collecting their haul, they quietly departed via Kamui. They came softly, and they left softly, leaving no trace behind.

Meanwhile, Arima sensed the activity within the Kamui space and, after assimilating the memories of his clones, could not help but laugh heartily.

Tsunade, half-asleep, was awakened by his laughter.

"What's wrong, Arima?"

"Hehe, Tsunade, we hit the jackpot. The Kamui space is piled high with treasures like mountains, enough Devil Fruits, famous swords, and rare wines from nations across the seas to keep you happy for a while."

Tsunade's eyes sparkled. "Arima, let's go see it right away!"

The two, clad in pajamas, entered the Kamui space together.

The treasures had already been organized by Arima's clones.

Tsunade went straight to the area with the Devil Fruits, picking up a nearby catalog and beginning to compare each one. The sheer variety of Devil Fruits was dizzying.

About half an hour later, she finished cataloging all of them. Most were Zoan types; there were far fewer Paramecia and Logia.

Unfortunately, none of the fruits immediately matched her desires.

"Arima, which power do you think I should choose?" she asked, continuing to flip through the catalog, hoping to find something suitable.

Devil Fruits came in countless varieties, with some powers hierarchically stronger than others. Even identical powers could produce vastly different effects depending on the user.

"You should pick a Logia-type fruit that grants flight," Arima suggested.

"Arima, look! I found a perfect one, the Rumble Rumble Fruit! It appeared in the East Blue decades ago and vanished completely afterward.

Its user can transform their body into lightning and attack using atmospheric phenomena."

Tsunade had quickly found a powerful fruit, thinking it ideal for Arima's use.

Arima came over to inspect it closely. The Rumble Fruit's extraordinary abilities tempted him as well.

He continued flipping through the catalog, weighing pros and cons, and eventually decided to pass on the Rumble Fruit.

His gaze naturally shifted toward a forbidden fruit, the Dark-Dark Fruit.

Its user transforms their body into a black hole, drawing in everything within range and compressing or crushing it infinitely.

Even more absurdly, if a Devil Fruit user is touched by a Dark-Dark user, they temporarily lose their powers.

The ability can even extract the powers of deceased Devil Fruit users from their bodies.

Although it does not allow the user to evade damage like a Logia, instead absorbing attacks with doubled pain, Arima had Kamui space.

Combining the two might turn his body into a truly terrifying black hole.

Closing the catalog, Arima said, "Tsunade, you take the Rumble Fruit. I'm going for the Dark-Dark Fruit."

"That fruit… the so-called 'most vicious power in history'?! But it disappeared centuries ago, where would we even find it?"

Tsunade clearly doubted his decision. Such a long-lost Devil Fruit would be nearly impossible to trace.

Arima was unconcerned; he already knew its location.

All of this was thanks to the system in his mind, though he had spent 100,000 virtue points to obtain the information, points earned by exchanging the Rat-Rat Fruit.

He had also located the Rumble Fruit using the same method. With Tsunade's birthday approaching, he planned a trip to Skypiea to surprise her with it.

Afterward, they organized their haul together.

Tsunade, tempted by the tribute wine, drank a small bottle and quickly lost control, eventually becoming thoroughly drunk. This was her first proper indulgence in alcohol.

Seeing this, Arima stopped his own work to focus on caring for her.

A drunk Tsunade became more alluring and increasingly dependent on Arima, curling up against him like a little kitten. Seeing her flushed cheeks and soft lips, Arima gently kissed her.

The next morning, everyone rose early to begin training.

Strangely, Arima was absent, and Tsunade was nowhere to be seen.

Clearly, they had once again gone off on their own adventure the night before, much to everyone else's habitual acceptance.

It wasn't until after lunch that they arrived, Arima yawning endlessly, while Tsunade looked radiant and energetic.

As a parent, Mito quietly scolded, "How do you manage to make such a fuss?"

Tsunade quickly explained, "It's not what you think! I drank some excellent wine last night, it's really good for the body!"

"I didn't know we had wine like this on the ship! Alright, I know what you young people are like, just remember moderation next time!"

Mito gave her granddaughter a graceful out.

Tsunade's words were interrupted, so she looked at Arima for support. Calmly, he replied, "Alright, Grandma, we'll be careful from now on!"

Hearing this, everyone else smiled knowingly.

Tsunade blushed, feeling embarrassed in front of the elders, though less so around her cousins, siblings, and friends, including Robin.

She approached Arima, pinching the soft flesh at his waist, twisting it hard to vent her frustration. Arima winced, but only pretended, it wasn't nearly enough to tickle him!

Her naive heart was fooled, and when she saw Arima's reaction, she softened, massaging him tenderly. Arima secretly enjoyed it.

The others couldn't bear it any longer and left, the old saying "out of sight, out of mind" proving apt.

Soon, the couple went to the training field and recounted their heist from yesterday, then led everyone into Kamui space.

Robin had never seen such a miraculous ability before.

The longer she spent with Arima, the more mysterious he seemed, just when you think you understand him, he reveals another secret, showing that you only see the tip of the iceberg.

This time, Arima had successfully stolen all the Celestial Dragons' treasures right under their noses, an impossible feat.

To Robin, the World Government's previously invincible image collapsed instantly.

Arima presented the Devil Fruit catalog to the group.

"You can look through this book. If you see a power you like, tell me, I'll do everything I can to help you find it!"

They began exploring the rare catalog together.

Without Arima's infiltration of the Celestial Dragons' treasury, obtaining such comprehensive information, and freely choosing a desired ability, would have been nearly impossible.

Kushina first selected the Float-Float Fruit.

"Arima, I want the Float-Float Fruit!"

"Float-Float Fruit belonged to the pirate Shiki. Years ago he escaped Impel Down and hasn't been seen since," Robin informed Kushina.

"Oh, well, never mind!" Kushina didn't mind, she just thought flight was cool. One day, she could fly the Thousand-Hand Ship and tour the world with her family.

"No worries, Kushina. I know where it is, and I'll help you get it!"

Arima had already converted the low-level Zoan fruits into merit points, easily locating any fruit for 100,000 points. Anyone targeted by Arima would find themselves perpetually on the run.

Hearing his promise, Kushina smiled sweetly, caring only that Arima remembered her.

Nawaki first chose the Tremor-Tremor Fruit, but learning that Whitebeard had consumed it, he turned to the Sluggish Fruit, thinking of his brother-in-law's ocular powers.

He had envied that for years.

Natsuka repeatedly considered options and eventually chose the Barrier Fruit, wanting to be her brother's shield.

Arima understood her heart and respected her decision, he had always wanted to protect his family, after all.

Mito chose the Flame-Flame Fruit, confident in her ability to wield it and even defeat the Magma Fruit.

Naomi selected the Heat-Heat Fruit, perfect for controlling cooking temperatures.

Finally, six-year-old Yuno was overwhelmed by the variety but chose the Surgery Fruit, hoping it would advance her medical skills despite its rarity.

Arata and Yuna weren't in a hurry; they would decide later.

Robin wondered what confidence Arima possessed to act so calmly, as if any ability could be picked at will. Even more striking, everyone else trusted him completely.

"Arima… who exactly are you?!"

Robin's previously quiet heart began to stir.
