The next morning, Arima awoke early. He lay on his side, quietly watching his wife sleeping peacefully beside him.
Morning light streamed through the window lattice, spilling across her body. Her soft skin, the faint downy hairs glimmering in the light, it was a sight as warm and radiant as spring itself.
Before long, Tsunade stirred, her eyes half-lidded with drowsiness. With a lazy murmur of "Arima Arima," she rolled over and drifted back into deep sleep.
Moving carefully so as not to disturb her, Arima rose from the bed and stepped out onto the deck. There, he gazed upon the breathtaking spectacle of the sunrise over the sea.
They would soon be arriving at Foosha Village. His curiosity grew stronger with each passing moment. What kind of child could he be, that Shanks would willingly give up an arm for him?
Half an hour later, the rest of the family gradually began to wake.
Kushina, back to her usual lively self, hopped cheerfully over to Arima. "Arima, where's Tsunad-nee?"
"She's still asleep, but she'll be awake soon," Arima replied.
"Hehe, good! Then she won't be able to tease me first thing in the morning!"
Kushina slipped her arm through Arima's, grinning brightly.
"Kushina," Arima said gently, "don't take Tsunade's words from yesterday to heart. She was only teasing you."
"Of course I'll take them to heart! I remember every single word she says!"
"You two girls really don't hold me in any regard, do you?" Arima shook his head with a smile, then added.
"Oh, that reminds me, I heard from Crocus that the Golden Lion is somewhere in the East Blue right now. Once I retrieve the Dark-Dark Fruit, I'll help you get the Float-Float Fruit."
"Hehe, thank you, Arima! …I'll always keep you in my heart! …Ah! Hehe… Tsunade, you're up!"
Kushina nearly jumped out of her skin as Tsunade appeared silently behind her.
Yawning and rubbing her eyes, Tsunade still looked half-asleep.
With a mock-annoyed tone she said, "You little brat, cozying up to your Arima so early in the morning! I'm telling you, it's useless. His heart is made of iron!"
"I don't care! Worst case, I'll just learn from Koharu-san!"
"Koharu?" Tsunade blinked, surprised. "Hah! So you know that much already, huh? Tell me, aside from that woman Koharu, who else?"
"Who else… let me think! …Oh, right! Tsunade-nee, you must remember the Queen of Roran? She's always been a faithful admirer of Arima!"
At that, Tsunade wrapped an arm around Kushina, pressing her into her chest and molding the girl's lips into a fish mouth with one hand.
Narrowing her eyes, Tsunade asked in a dangerously soft voice, "Kushina… how do you know all this?"
Struggling free of Tsunade's suffocating embrace, Kushina smirked proudly. "Tsunade, you're the only one who doesn't know! We're all part of Arima's support group.
And our leader? None other than his dear little sister, my beloved Natsuka!"
Not far away, Natsuka heard Kushina's betrayal and immediately bolted toward the kitchen in search of refuge with her mother, Nanako.
Leaving Kushina behind, Natsuka sought protection, abandoning her "sisterhood" without hesitation. Kushina, however, was not so lucky.
Tsunade "tormented" the poor girl until she had squeezed out every detail about this so-called "support group."
Arima stood off to the side the entire time, watching the scene with amusement. He'd heard rumors about this "support group" before, but had never paid it much mind.
Nawaki walked up beside him, envy written across his face. "Brother-in-law, your popularity in the Alliance is incredible. I wish I had that many supporters!"
Arima could only sigh. He knew Tsunade would definitely confront him later about this "support group," and no matter what he said, he doubted he'd be able to explain his way out of it.
As the girls played around, Tsunade suddenly grimaced and pressed a hand to her chest, looking unwell.
"Are you pregnant again, Tsunade-nee?" Kushina blurted out.
Tsunade steadied her breathing before replying, "Don't talk nonsense, brat! I just ate an entire Devil Fruit, it tasted so foul I'm still nauseous."
Kushina's eyes widened with curiosity. "Tsunade-nee, what kind of abilities do you have now?"
The words had barely left her mouth before Tsunade vanished in a flash of lightning, reappearing a kilometer away in an instant.
Within seconds, she had disappeared entirely from sight.
"Incredible… like lightning itself…"
Kushina's face lit with awe.
"It's the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, a Logia!" Tsunade's voice suddenly came from directly behind her.
"Ah! Tsunade-nee, you always tease me! Hmph! Just wait till I eat the Float Float Fruit, then I'll scare you!"
Seeing them about to start another squabble, Arima quickly interjected. "Tsunade, try using your ability in the sea water."
Tsunade nodded and leapt straight off the deck into the ocean.
Moments later, a faint glow began to flicker deep beneath the surface.
Then, the surrounding waters erupted with blinding flashes. Soon, the sea was littered with charred fish corpses, even several colossal Sea Kings among them.
Just as the crew looked on in shock, Tsunade burst back out of the sea, her body completely dry, not a single drop clinging to her.
A satisfied smile spread across her face. "The Rumble-Rumble Fruit's power works even better in seawater than in the air!"
Robin was shaken to her core. A Devil Fruit user who could overcome the sea's curse, what that meant was beyond imagination.
After spending these days together, she'd come to understand the hearts of the people aboard this ship.
Her convictions had begun to waver, a voice inside her whispering: Stay. This place will be your true home.
Now, witnessing Tsunade display the terrifying might of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, that thought only grew stronger.
In the hours that followed, Tsunade gave a breathtaking solo performance.
She showcased countless abilities, from Observation Haki evolved into a "mind-reading technique," to devastating lightning strikes exceeding hundreds of millions of volts.
But what satisfied Arima the most was the technique Tsunade developed by combining her Devil Fruit power with her ninjutsu, a super S-rank Lightning Release: Sage Art: Lightning Release · Divine Phoenix.
The moment she cast it, thunderclouds blanketed the entire sky. Within mere breaths, they swirled together into the form of a phoenix reborn from fire.
The thunderclaps were like the bird's proud cries, echoing across tens of miles. The phoenix circled obediently around Tsunade, perfectly under her control.
When Tsunade hurled it toward the distant sea, the attack vaporized the ocean itself. The massive whirlpool it left behind nearly dragged the Konoha Senju into its depths.
Arima knew full well, the power of this technique rivaled his own Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion in Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
Without exaggeration, Tsunade now stood among the absolute pinnacle of shinobi. And all of it, it seemed, had been achieved with just a single Devil Fruit.
It was only natural that the others would begin to daydream about what powers their own Fruits might grant.
When Tsunade had finally had her fill, Arima revealed to the crew that today was her birthday.
Everyone immediately bustled about, eager to prepare a grand and unique celebration for her. They weren't pirates, but their enthusiasm for festivities was no less than any crew on the seas.
Natsuka, with her beautiful singing voice, led the group in a chorus of the birthday song for Tsunade.
When the song ended, Tsunade embraced each member of her family one by one, Robin included.
At last, she turned to Arima, her eyes brimming with emotion. "Thank you, Arima. Loving you… is the most important and the best decision of my life."
Before their family, Arima kissed her deeply.
The night was filled with song and dance, lasting until late before everyone dispersed.
But what they did not know was that, while Tsunade had been showcasing her devastating powers over the sea, a Marine warship had been patrolling the area.
The sailors aboard witnessed the apocalyptic scene and immediately reported it to headquarters.
Within half a day, news of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit user appearing in the East Blue had spread across the entire sea.
