Chapter 177 - 177: The 180km/h Thunderbolt

In front of the goal, Čech made his prediction almost instantly!

From the goal line, he leapt high into the air, hurling his entire body forward!

But even though he had been mentally prepared, the quality of this long-range shot was still beyond Čech's imagination!

The speed was terrifying.

The power was ferocious.

Kai's cannon-like strike tore through Čech's ten-fingered guard in an instant, roaring into the top left corner of Chelsea's net!

Čech fell back onto the goal line with unwilling eyes, his mind blank.

For this save, he had given everything—yet he had barely brushed the edge of the ball with his fingertips!

In the blink of an eye—

The entire Stamford Bridge exploded!

In the away stands, Arsenal fans were in a frenzy!

They roared, they celebrated without restraint!

On the big screen above the pitch, the latest stat flashed:

Kai's long-range strike had clocked a speed of 180 km/h!!

The stadium buzzed violently.

Chelsea fans were stunned, their heads ringing.

What did that speed even mean?

Their guardian Čech had already reacted with incredible quickness.

An on-site analyst immediately gave the answer:

To save Kai's strike, Čech would have had to react in 0.05 seconds—and only then might he have stopped it!

The crowd erupted again!

Arsenal players rushed toward their captain one after another, surrounding Kai in the center as they celebrated wildly.

In the Chelsea penalty area, Terry stood with his hands on his hips, face heavy, lost in thought.

David Luiz and Ashley Cole spread their hands and exchanged helpless glances.

Ashley Cole, who had once come through Arsenal's youth academy and been part of the Invincibles, found himself dazed after experiencing this new Arsenal tonight.

The team before him was far swifter and far more fearsome than the Gunners of years past!

And that black-haired figure shrouded in deafening cheers… was already far beyond the Henry of his time.

Kai's regal presence on the pitch—his passing, vision, organization, duels, and shooting—was nothing short of terrifying.

The players returned to their halves.

Chelsea fans looked utterly deflated.

Given all the factors inside and outside the pitch tonight, they could see no hope at all.

Terry stood at the edge of the Chelsea box, clapping to encourage his teammates, but with little effect.

He finally gave up trying.

On the sidelines, Villas-Boas paced a few steps before turning and ducking back into the dugout.

No one on the Chelsea bench spoke to their manager.

The scene was deathly silent.

Photographers frantically captured these shocking moments.

Boos and cheers clashed above Stamford Bridge!

36th minute of the first half—

Chelsea suffered another heavy blow!

Ivanović's sliding tackle on Arteta was met with an immediate yellow card from the referee, along with a free kick for Arsenal near the touchline at the halfway line!

Kai pressed the ball down with one hand—

And took it quickly!

With a powerful swing of his instep, he sent a vertical through ball straight forward.

Chelsea's defense hadn't even reacted before Walcott was onto it, sprinting toward the baseline!

In the stands, Chelsea fans widened their eyes in horror!

Up against Ashley Cole's tight challenge, Walcott crossed the ball immediately!

The pass had a bit too much force—

Van Persie couldn't meet it at the near post.

Terry cleared the ball toward the opposite flank.

Ivanović headed it away from the box again—

But Gervinho charged forward!

With his chest, he brought the ball down.

A quick glance—

Then he sent a powerful pass into the middle!

In the center—

Kai arrived right on cue!

To the disbelief of the crowd, he met the cross from the flank with the inside of his right foot, scooping it delicately—

A no-look pass!

Here it was again!

On the touchline, Wenger's eyes lit up, his hands already rising to clap.

The ball curled in a perfect arc, dropping into the air above the box.

Its path matched Van Persie's run to perfection!

Van Persie caught it with a side touch—

And with a half turn, unleashed a thunderous left-footed shot!

Whoosh!

A crisp thud echoed as the net shook!

Cech's goal had been breached again!

The ball was in!

3–0!!

Arsenal had completely sealed the win before halftime!

Wild cheers erupted from the stands!

The Arsenal players rushed to the sideline, celebrating madly.

Stamford Bridge was drowned in noise and chaos.

Chelsea supporters slumped lifelessly into their seats, eyes vacant.

Some diehard Blues fans could no longer tolerate the performance they were witnessing tonight.

They roared hysterically, hurling abuse at manager Villas-Boas on the bench, and at the dejected Chelsea players on the pitch!

Chelsea's dressing room was already in turmoil before this match.

And tonight, they ran headfirst into Kai's Arsenal.

Under the Gunners' brutal attacking firepower, the Blues were in complete disarray!

The live commentators could only sigh helplessly.

Before this game even began, Chelsea were already on the brink of collapse.

And tonight, Kai showed no mercy — leading a rampant Arsenal, he poured fuel on the fire, completely breaking Chelsea's spirit!

During the 15-minute halftime break,

Chelsea's dressing room erupted in another fierce argument.

The shouting was so loud it startled the staff passing by.

Just minutes later, Villas-Boas stormed out, slamming the door.

Through the gap, Terry's and Lampard's furious shouts could still be heard.

When the second half began,

a shocking sight greeted everyone —

Chelsea's manager was gone!

Villas-Boas was nowhere to be seen on the touchline, nor in the stands.

The home fans flushed red with anger,

their voices buzzing in heated discussion.

The second half was completely one-sided!

After the intense halftime row, Chelsea had not regained their fighting spirit —

if anything, they played even worse.

Kai showed not the slightest mercy.

67th minute —

he delivered a pinpoint long pass to the side of the box, finding Walcott in stride!

Walcott struck at the near post!

4–0!

86th minute —

Kai dribbled forward from the center-circle arc.

At the edge of the penalty area, he exchanged a quick one-two with Van Persie,

burst into the box,

and unleashed a right-footed rocket!

5–0!

Arsenal had utterly destroyed Chelsea!

The home crowd at Stamford Bridge fell completely silent.

A few minutes later,

when the final whistle blew,

the entire stadium had become a cathedral for Arsenal's celebration!

Chelsea's players trudged gloomily toward the tunnel.

Kai led the Gunners to salute the away supporters under the stands.

Chelsea fans watched that black-haired figure wrapped in a storm of cheers,

their eyes flickering with complicated emotions.

For a moment,

they couldn't help but feel envious.

If Chelsea had a player like that holding the fort,

there was no way they would have crumbled so badly tonight —

no way they'd be humiliated by five goals at home!

At the post-match press conference,

Villas-Boas flatly refused to attend.

His assistant faced the media's barrage of questions in his place.

Over in Arsenal's media room,

Wenger beamed with energy:

"Our short-term goal is to clinch the Premier League half-season title with a perfect record!"

"Next match will be a big one for us — it's also the last fixture of the first half of the season."

"With Kai leading the way, we will head to the Etihad to face Manchester City head-on!"
