Chapter 131 - ¹³¹:recaiming her position

Silas noticed Avery's gaze fixed toward the stairs, her eyes wide and tense, and his brows furrowed. Something in her expression immediately made his chest tighten with unease. He followed her line of sight, and the sight that met him caused his own face to harden, the faint tension in his jaw giving him away.

What was she doing here?!

"Mom, I will not come back!" Adrian's voice finally erupted, sharp and defiant, echoing through the hall and cutting through the frantic wails of his mother.

The words carried a mix of anger, stubbornness, and desperation that filled the air like static electricity, making even the furniture in the room seem to vibrate with tension.

Vivienne's eyes widened, her mouth opening slightly in stunned disbelief as she felt her eyes watering seeing her son talking to her like that but then, her gaze fell on the lady standing halfway up the stairs, her heart lifting slightly at the sight.
