"What are you doing in such a big place?!" Sam said, his voice dropping to a hushed whisper as his eyes darted around like a scared squirrel.
Adrian couldn't help but laugh inwardly at the sight. Sam was acting like they were standing in the middle of some high-security mansion, about to uncover some weird royal scandal. Which, to be fair, wasn't too far from the truth.
The moment Adrian had stepped outside the villa, Sam had immediately grabbed him by the arm and dragged him toward the far corner of the marble-lined beautiful porch.
The morning sun lit the wide driveway in a calm glow, bouncing off the pretty expensive black car parked near the gates. Even the evergreen hedges were trimmed in perfect symmetry. Sam looked wildly out of place, still wearing his hoodie and sneakers, as if he'd stumbled into a billionaire's movie set.
"Umm… Sam, I might have something to tell you," Adrian finally said, straightening his back and slipping out of Sam's overly tight grip.
