"What I want to talk about is actually really important, Avery," Alana said as she kept her teacup elegantly on the table in front of her, the room's atmosphere making her moment look even more poised and beautiful.
Avery raised her brows at Alana's overly sweet voice. It was as if Alana were talking to a little gullible child who would believe whatever they were told. She had seen another person use the same type of voice with her when she used to manipulate her- Layla.
Avery sighed as she looked at Alana more keenly after realising that this was the first time she had noticed Alana was quite similar to her dear sister, willing to go above and beyond to reach her motives.
Nonetheless, she did not care how Alana or Layla lived their lives, "What is it, Alana? If it is so important, then I would appreciate it if you don't beat around the bush and just come to the point." She said as she leaned a little forward while her eyes were fixed on Alana like an eagle's on its prey.
