[Rosie's POV]
I tried to hold her gaze as the magistrate read my words to her but she wasn't looking.
I could feel every eye in this hall boring into me. The title "Luna" now hangs like a shackle on me.
"You were believed to be with Luna Rosie..."
I was jittery as my teeth bite like lips like it will bleed out the truth somehow.
Hera stepped forward as she placed her hand on the dock; her eyes looked heavy, as if she had cried.
"Rosie," she calls, and there's a sudden brightness that lingers inside me, like hope was back.
I sniffed and nodded and with an even tone, she said;
"I was not with you around that time. I was alone in the kitchen, with the servants. I have no memory of seeing you until three hours later when you appeared"
At first, her words sounded like a riddle in my ear as my heart slammed against my chest.
And when those words decided to register in my head, I felt all shredded.
