Gary hops around with excitement teasing his brother that he came back for him.

Alaric kept refusing it and comes up with lies that doesn't match with his face.

He had even told me to agree with him and all I did was just nod and chuckle.

Soon, we were at the palace walls and I pulled my cloak tighter as torches shone on us once we were in the great walls.

It's the guards, having their duties playing right when we arrived.

They all gave a bow when we came in sight and alaric wore that cold gaze again.

The clatter of armor and the low murmur of minstrels fades and when I glanced at alaric beside me, his hand rest lightly on the hilt of his sword.
