I rubbed my eyes and nodded before I even noticed, and he shook his head, passing me the mead to drink more.
"I'd advise you not to put your emotions on him, it might be a waste of time," he cautions like a tutor, but then he knows his brother better than I do.
I tried to feign ignorance of his words while I drank gently, trying to feel the cold from the garden against my skin.
His dragon lets out a cough or perhaps fire but then, I was more concerned over the man who sits across me now, watching me like a knight.
"How did you survive him? He's like a taunt in the flesh"
"He always is, just pretend like you are affected and off you go with ease and relaxation like he wasn't the one who broke your heart" he flatly said, joining me in the drink to stupor while I tried to access the details of his words.
"Heartbreak?"
I'm not heartbroken. Why would I like a man who bought me and made my life miserable?
