Anelisa
I doubt if the grumpy man behind me even cares. When I glanced at him, he seemed patient, though, as he scanned the crowd and tried to keep up with me.
"Maybe he should be the one thrown off the ship because he's stressing my queen"
"I'm not complaining"
I am complaining! Alaric is worse when it comes to stress. I think I can survive under Gary, but Alaric is a different entity that needs years to learn.
Shunning Alaric again, I kept focus on Gary. I could see the tension in his shoulders, the way he gripped them with his knuckle fists.
I can bet I was almost squeezed to death if Alaric hadn't carried me in his arms and scurried through the crowd to get to Gary.
I felt a tingle flush inside me as I was turning red, melting softly not from his heat but from his constant closeness.
He dropped me gently, and I could see his eyes settled on his brother whose back was facing us.
I doubt if it's Gary. But then he's a shape shifter and probably had taken another form.
