Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

A bloodied man was limping as he went to hide in a ruined house. He collapsed against a wall and grabbed his radio.

"This is Gerald…to command. Operation Love Machine is a bust…everyone is dead…Fuck…nobody told us that they got smarter…send reinforcements or something…"

The man took off his helmet and coughed up blood. He wrapped his wounds weakly as he waited for a response.

[This is command…what got smarter?]

"The fucking abominations…what else? Just send reinforcements…Fuck…I don't want to die…"

[Roger that…what are your coordinates?]

"I don't know…the fucking map don't work…"

[Roger that…what's your coordinates?]

"I told you…I don't know…"

The man heard an abrupt laughter from the radio, deranged laughter that echoed throughout his ears.

"Command…? Stop laughing…"

The laughter grew louder and more deranged as he weakly kicked the radio.

"Stop… god damn it…why won't you stop…"

The laughter suddenly stopped. The man sighed in relief until his eyes were gouged out from behind as his head was pulled back and a tube-like tongue was thrust into his mouth and slurped out his intestines as the laughter returned. He tried to scream in pain but his throat was constricted by its tongue, leading him to only gurgle. Gerald tried to move but his body could only twitch as he struggled away as it continued to slurp out his intestines.

…

Aaron jolted up from his sleep and had found that his body had transformed again.

"Seriously? Again?", he muttered.

He got up and walked to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water. As he drank the glass, he heard murmurs from Bailey's room. Aaron entered his room to hear better.

"Emma…no…we can't another baby…he's not even born yet…"

Aaron looked at him amused and sighed in relief that it was nothing horrible. When Aaron opened his eyes, he was greeted with two round glowing red eyes, it stared at him as if it was staring directly into his soul. Blood trickled down from his eyes and nose as the red eyes became distorted and they started to resemble two blood moons. The eyes glowed brightly as each of the crevices in the eyes became more visible and vibrant. The red eyes liquefied and leaked from the frame of its eyes and down its face and the next moment Aaron woke up from his bed, sweating bullets, he looked at his body and it seemed normal.

"What… was that?"
