Chapter 48 - Forest Training Camp, "Dirtbag"

After almost a whole night of swimming lessons, of course, apart from the fact that neither of us could sleep, everything was pretty much perfectly fine.

No sex, no fondling, just one person wanting to learn to swim and one person willing to teach until 3am. After 5 hours in the water, of course, we both caught colds afterwards. Normally I could handle it, but today, with all the activity, it was really quite tiring...

As soon as I prepared medicine for Himiko, who was now lying flat on her bed, I took a quick shower to prevent my cold from getting worse, then packed my own luggage, as well as preparing for the billions of things that were about to happen in this Forest Training Camp arc.

The revolver with 12 remaining bullets, 3 sets of short-sleeved clothes, underwear, a slingshot that was modified to the point of being terrifying, and 4 wax-coated potassium cyanide pellets. That was enough...

No. Not yet...

On Himiko's side, aside from medicine, there was definitely nothing really enough.

Actually, in theory, it was already a new semester, so it was only natural for her to go since she was now a student of Class 1-A on paper. But the problem was that she hadn't gone through any internship as scheduled for the first semester, so during this week of my absence, she was also going to go to hero training.

And guess where it was?

U.A.

Of course, she didn't like this ever since she received the information before the summer break started. But she had no other choice, because Himiko was now practically imprisoned within the confines of this academy.

2 350ml blood bags that I had taken out and saved for this occasion, a one-way pager from me and a GPS tracker - attached to my luggage, and a special phone with the emergency contact number for Gentle Criminal - maybe he should be called Gentle Bad from now on - in case she needed to mobilize their support to save me.

Yep. This time, I had to put myself in danger again.

Saying goodbye to Himiko with a light kiss on the lips, I quickly left, not forgetting to gently close the door and carry my luggage on the way to a new gamble...

...

After gathering in front of U.A.'s front yard and listening to Aizawa yapping about some "Plus Ultra" shit like the canon version, everyone felt excited about this upcoming trip. Ochako, as usual, still ran up to Izuku and asked about the situation, but this time, in addition to that excitement, she also took the initiative to ask him about this training trip more than usual. It wasn't as funny as before, instead, this scene - not only me but also quite a few other people in 1-A - clearly felt that something had definitely happened between the two of them. Or at least to Ochako, because our little Izuku was still blushing like a ripe tomato. Even so, he still took the initiative - timidly - to hold Ochako's hand in a lover's way, enough to feed us tons of crumbs of their love life.

Of course there are still some dickheads that I would punch to the ground... But luckily, that dickhead was eventually knocked unconscious by the class president of 1-B - Kendo Itsuka - and dragged onto the bus, not forgetting to gently apologize and leave.

In general, it's no different from canon.

No. Not really...

Mineta, instead of looking at the butts and boobs of the girls in 1-B at first, this guy shows something...quite different... But that difference doesn't seem to be much, because no matter how much he restrains himself, this bastard still looks at them like normal.

Motherfucker this guy is so lacking in willpower...

...

As the bus rolled along, the atmosphere inside was filled with the bustle of a field trip. The bright summer sun streamed in through the windows, and the quiet engine was just the background music for the lively conversations. Aizawa-sensei, tired as usual, stood at the front, trying to attract the attention of the restless students.

"Listen," he said, his voice flat and lacking in energy, "the bus will stop every hour for a break. After that..."

Almost immediately, his words were drowned out by the class's laughter. In the middle row, Kaminari and Ashido were competing to see who made the ugliest face; Kaminari puffed out his cheeks, his hair standing on end with static, while Ashido stuck out his tongue, his eyes rolling back. Nearby, Izuku and Ochako were whispering to each other, both of them bowing their heads low to hide their red faces, along with quite a few others who were also chatting quite animatedly and no one paid any attention to their teacher.

Except me.

I sat silently in the middle of the back row, listening to Aizawa's every word. I knew this wasn't just a simple outing or a children's picnic. This was the beginning of a battle, a bet that I had been preparing for a long time.

Aizawa sighed, a sigh of resignation, then decided to let it be. His tired gaze swept across the class, past the faces beaming with excitement, and stopped at me.

For a moment, the noisy atmosphere around seemed to quiet down. I saw something strange in his eyes, a vagueness and depth as if he were looking through me, not at a student, but at an accomplice in some secret. As if he knew that I knew too, that our days of carefree fun were coming to an end...

Exactly an hour later, the bus suddenly stopped on a deserted mountainside. Everyone eagerly got off, expecting a rest stop with vending machines and clean restrooms, but all they saw was a cliff and a dense, treacherous forest.

Immediately, everyone wondered what the hell this place was that the class was stopping here, and they also asked Aizawa if Class 1-B hadn't arrived yet or why they hadn't shown up yet.

"There's no reason to stop for no reason," Aizawa replied to the class in astonishment.

Just then, a black car parked nearby opened its door. Two women in colorful cat costumes and a boy with a frowning face got out.

"Yo, Eraser," the blonde woman said as she stepped out, waving to us.

"Long time no see," Aizawa replied, bowing politely.

Then there was a whole roll call introduction that I honestly don't know whether to feel cringe or amused. Well, it's a shounen series, but it's just... weird somehow... Even the kid who came out with them felt the same way.

"These are the Pro Heroes who will be supporting us in camp, the 'Wild, Wild Pussycats'." Aizawa briefly introduced them to 1-A.

"Wild, Wild Pussycats"? Yeah right, more like Wild Pussy or some shit...

Izuku practically screamed with excitement, starting to mumble about their backgrounds. "It's The Pussycats! Rank 32 Pro Heroes! A four-person team that specializes in mountain rescue and has its own headquarters!! This year marks the 20th year of operation for.."

And then there was Pixie-Bob's gag on Izuku because he didn't want to be seen as old and single...

"She sounds...a bit desperate..." Kaminari and Kirishima both muttered in unison.

After the greetings from both sides, Mandalay began to summarize what we would be doing in the coming days, not forgetting to introduce a bit about what their team was doing right now.

"We manage all the areas around this place..." Mandalay introduced clearly and concisely, then pointed down to the deep abyss below, where the forest stretched out like an endless green carpet. "You guys will be staying at the foot of that mountain."

The entire class 1-A froze. The excitement died down, replaced by confusion that began to show clearly on each face.

"Then why are we stopping here...?"

"That means..."

"No, that's impossible."

"..."

While the class was still in chaos, I calmly walked up, facing Mandalay. "I'm a little disoriented, so could you please point me in the right direction again?"

My short, direct question made her seem a little surprised. My calmness was completely out of place among the panicking crowd. She squinted at me for a moment, then pointed back in the same direction in the dense forest.

"Thank you." I nodded, then walked to the side of their car and touched the tire.

Immediately, my entire body, from the part I touched on my hand, gradually turned into vulcanized rubber like the tire's component, along with a feeling of my body being a bit weirder than the times I turned my body into an alloy. Perhaps this was one of the new side effects of my Quirk, so yeah, it shouldn't be a problem. Using rubber to reduce injuries is really It's not a bad idea at all...

"I'll go first. You guys take your time."

Before anyone could react, I jumped down to everyone's surprise, landed safely, and started moving towards the cabin in the forest in the direction Mandalay had pointed out in a hurry.

Sure enough, before I could go far, I heard the sound of a landslide and a few screams from the students of class 1-A. Surely they would catch up with me in time, so I had to hurry, especially since they could freely use their Quirks here - which I wasn't much better at than them...

...

Motherfucker that was exhausting.

Going through the forest? Easy. Determining the safest direction? Fucking hard as hell!

Luckily, my rubber body helped me minimize injuries and move more flexibly, but constantly having to dodge rocks and giant earth beasts that appeared out of nowhere was really a torture...

Pixie-Bob's Quirk - Earth Flow, which allowed her to control earth and rocks, was really annoying and extremely difficult to deal with. The only thing I could do was hide and run to get there, especially when the Golems and Beast-likes made of earth tracked me so precisely that it was like they had a GPS on me and were tracking me.

"Shit," I muttered, flipping in the air to avoid a pounce from a earth bear, "Pixie-Bob, damn it, that bitch really doesn't hold back at all."

Finally, after nearly nine hours of nonstop fighting, I found a clearing in front of the training area. My body was completely exhausted, my uniform was now torn and covered in mud, and my hair was a mess that looked like it hadn't been there in two days. The clock read 5:15 PM. I was actually five minutes early, playing solo instead of cooperatively, but I was still only five minutes ahead of the rest of the class.

Pixie-Bob, Aizawa, and Mandalay were standing on the porch, arms folded, looking at me with a mixture of surprise and admiration.

"You're faster than I thought," she said, one eyebrow raised. "And you left almost no trace of a fight. Did you just run?"

"How the fuck do I know those freaks in the forest are your test?" I replied, tired and annoyed, knowing full well that this was what I had to go through. "And listen up. Call more people from U.A. This place is about to be exposed by a rat in the class in a few days later."

I said, my voice hoarse from exhaustion and spitting out a bit of mud, not intending to explain further.

Aizawa-sensei, Pixie-Bob, and Mandalay stared at me. Pixie-Bob's mocking smile had disappeared, replaced by suspicion and cold vigilance.

"What did you just say, Onodera?" Aizawa asked, his hazy eyes narrowing. "Traitor!??"

"Find it out for yourself, don't ask me. That ability of mine isn't omnipotent. Just check for traitors yourself," I replied curtly, ignoring him and heading straight to the car to get my luggage and put it in my room. "Better call someone useful, not some useless cunts..."
