Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Shadows of Understanding

The rain had stopped. But the tension hadn't.

Inside the faculty lounge, Taehyung sat in silence—his knuckles still raw from the earlier fight with Namjoon. Blood dried on his lip. His tie was crooked. His control? Nearly shattered.

"Rough day?"

The voice that cut through the silence was low. Calm. And unfamiliar—yet oddly comforting.

Taehyung didn't look up. "Who are you?"

"I'm the guy they call when chaos walks in dressed as a student."The man walked forward, all dark clothes and slow footsteps. "Min Yoongi. Psychology professor. Just transferred."

Taehyung finally raised his eyes.

Yoongi's gaze was cool. Unbothered. Like he'd seen a thousand messes before and survived them all.

"I heard about the hallway drama. And about the kid." Yoongi leaned against the wall. "Jungkook, right?"

Taehyung's jaw clenched. "He's not a kid."

"I didn't say he was."

Silence.

Yoongi shrugged. "I'm not here to judge. I'm here because people like you…" He paused, gaze sharpening. "They don't usually let anyone help them until it's too late."

Taehyung scoffed. "What makes you think I need help?"

Yoongi tilted his head, voice dropping.

"You've got the eyes of a man who's one mistake away from losing everything he doesn't even realize he loves yet."

Taehyung froze.

For the first time in a while… someone saw right through him.

Meanwhile, across campus…

Jungkook sat alone in the music room, curled in a corner, hoodie pulled over his head. His phone buzzed again—another message from Jimin.

[Hyung 💔]Answer me. Please. I'm scared for you.

The door creaked open.

"Still hiding?" Jimin's voice was softer than before.

"I'm not hiding," Jungkook muttered. "I'm thinking."

"Dangerous habit for someone with so many emotions," Jimin teased, trying to lighten the mood.

Jungkook didn't laugh.

Jimin walked closer. "Look, I'm not trying to ruin what you have with him."

"You kind of are."

"I'm trying to protect you," Jimin snapped. "You're a student, Jungkook. He's a professor. This could ruin your life."

Jungkook stood, eyes blazing. "Then why doesn't it feel wrong?"

Jimin opened his mouth—but no words came out.

Just then—

Another voice: "Because not all forbidden things are bad. Some just… need better timing."

Yoongi.

He stood at the doorway, hands in his coat pockets, gaze resting on both of them like he was piecing a puzzle together.

Jimin blinked. "Yoongi? You're here too?"

Yoongi nodded. "New job. New city. Same stubborn childhood friend who thinks he can control everyone else's love life."

Jungkook's eyes widened. "You two know each other?"

Yoongi's smirk was subtle. "We used to be close."

Jimin flushed, voice quiet. "That was a long time ago."

"Not long enough," Yoongi said. "Because I still remember the way you looked when you said goodbye."

The room fell into silence again.

Three hearts.Three different storms. One broken past—and one love hanging by a thread.
