When Mo Teng thought of this, a wave of discouragement suddenly washed over him. It seemed that the water prison he had meticulously crafted hadn't claimed Xu Yuan's life; otherwise, the game wouldn't be able to continue. Now, there was no choice but to grit his teeth and persevere.
Tentatively, Mo Teng dug up a stone and immediately saw magma rushing toward him. Recognizing the danger, he seized the moment before the magma could spread further, swiftly blocking the stone back into place.
Initially, he didn't fully believe what the billboard claimed, but after seeing it himself, he understood the truth. Although the notice board seemed to be mere luck, Mo Teng had just tested the method himself. As long as his hand speed was quick enough, the magma would be temporarily held back.
You could experiment by relying on hand speed, trying different strategies to find a way to survive. This meant that survival wasn't purely a matter of luck; skill and quick reflexes played a crucial role.
Thinking along these lines, Mo Teng's mood lifted slightly. He then began to carefully dig up the stones around him. One after another, he unearthed the magma—fortunately, he kept his nerves tense, and each time, he gambled on placing the stone back just in time.
Every time Mo Teng dug out a stone, his heart pounded loudly. Watching this scene, the other players couldn't help but sweat nervously. Most didn't actually wish for Mo Teng's quick death—not out of fondness for him, but because they were eager to see how Xu Yuan survived and set traps to harm others. This was a rare opportunity for learning.
"Damn, I feel more nervous than Mo Teng…"
"I really hope Mo Teng can make it—come on, keep breaking through!"
"If I were in his place, I'd be breaking down… Might as well just die directly."
Gradually, Mo Teng became more familiar with this rhythm of digging and releasing. After another stone was removed, he was thrilled to find that no magma flowed out! He quickly continued digging along the original path, probably covering a distance of more than ten blocks.
He kept digging until finally, he saw a relatively large space ahead. As he arrived there, he realized it was a confined area. The most alarming discovery was that in the center of this space, there was a Zombie Spawner!
At this moment, three zombies had already been spawned within this space. The players initially thought Mo Teng had escaped, but unexpectedly, Xu Yuan had prepared another trap—this Spawner —at the end of the path.
The players' scalps went numb upon realizing this.
"I thought Mo Teng had escaped… but he's actually come to another level…"
"This is terrifying—endless torture…!"
"Boss Steve's mind is truly sharp. I think he discovered this brush cage in the mine even before starting construction…"
"So he had already planned these mechanisms from the start?"
"This is just… outrageous!"
"I think the scariest part is how complex the mine terrain is, yet Steve can utilize all of it. It's incredible…"
"Is this the big guy? I'm scared… I'm really scared…"
"Mo Teng must be feeling desperate now. Twice he thought he escaped, but both times he was led into another trap…"
Seeing this, Mo Teng's originally hopeful eyes immediately dimmed.
"There's no end to this?!"
"In just five minutes, how did he come up with all these plans?!!!"
Mo Teng couldn't comprehend it. Five minutes—some might not even have time to think of such a plan, let alone execute it.
He didn't have the luxury to dwell on it now. Fortunately, the tunnel he had dug was still safe. He quickly retreated into it, blocking his view with stones, and began to fight the zombies.
Since he could only hit one zombie at a time with each stone, his attack speed was limited. Moreover, holding a stone sword, his killing rate was slower than the rate at which the monsters respawned in the cave.
He analyzed silently—if he continued attacking this way, it wouldn't work. The only chance was to break out and destroy the spawner directly.
Thinking of this, Mo Teng pulled out the last roast chicken from his backpack and ate it to restore his Health. Once his health was nearly full, he dug stones to repel the zombies blocking the exit and charged out swiftly.
While dodging the zombies' attacks, he aimed to break the spawn cage. After breaking it, the zombies stopped respawning. Mo Teng then wandered away cautiously, avoiding enemy attacks, and returned to the tunnel he had just emerged from. He used stones again to block the entrance and began to eliminate the remaining zombies.
The players watching this scene couldn't help but feel that Mo Teng was already showing remarkable strength and doing his best. If they were in his place, they wouldn't have reacted as quickly or effectively.
After clearing the zombies, Mo Teng finally let out a sigh of relief. Just as he was about to remove the stones blocking his exit and come out, the countdown to the position swap suddenly sounded again!
The sudden alarm stunned him. He hadn't expected time to pass so quickly. A strange, terrifying sense of dread washed over him—this transposition felt like the start of another torment.
