---

Location: ???, Dragon Continent

Period: During the Reign of the Tenth Demon King

---

"Demon God. Wake the hell up."

Shin opened his eyes. He looked around and saw he was in a temple-like structure made of obsidian, ruby, and quartz.

Shin looked down and saw a tall man with draconic wings, two large horns, and a tail. The man wore nothing but red baggy pants.

"Hey, Demon God, since when do you fall asleep on your throne?" the man said as he flicked him on the head.

Shin grabbed his head.

Huh!? Demon God! What the actual—

Shin looked down at himself. He looked taller and wore a long black cloak akin to the one he used to wear.

He got up and searched the room. He saw a mirror on the wall and ran up to it. He noticed a few things were different.

He looked older. He had long white hair tied in a ponytail. A scar marked the right side of his face.

He touched it with his left hand and felt something different. His hand felt warm—not the cold, metallic touch he remembered.

He looked down. His hand was normal, not an upgrade.

"What's the problem? You look like you've seen a ghost," the man said as he got closer.

Shin turned to look at him, slowly analyzing his features.

"Dragon God?" Shin asked, confused.

"Yes, you imbecile," the dragon chuckled as he walked out of the room. "Now hurry up. We're waiting outside."

The Dragon God left Shin alone in the room. Shin was still puzzled by what was happening.

Do not worry, mortal. You are just dreaming... I think.

Shin heard a voice in his head. He looked around to confirm, but no one else was in the room.

When Shin turned back toward the mirror, he jumped in horror at what he saw.

Where his reflection should have been, there stood a silhouette with glowing white eyes. Shin stared closer.

Demon God!?

Yes, mortal. It is me. And right now, you are in my memories.

HOW!?

They must have transferred when I gave you those spells. So... just get used to it for now.

Shin sighed. Just as he was about to continue the conversation, a female voice called out to him.

"My love, what are you doing over there?"

Shin turned, his eyes widening with shock. Standing before him was a beautiful demon girl. She had long green hair streaked with white highlights.

The girl walked up and pressed herself against his chest. Shin blushed as she leaned in and kissed him.

Stop blushing, mortal. Anyway, I don't need to introduce her—you already know who that is.

What do you mean I already know?

It's Satel.

Shin's eyes flew wide with shock. Satel frowned.

"What's the matter, love? You look like you've seen a ghost," Satel asked in a cutesy voice.

Shin blushed even more.

"Nothing, love. Just had a bad dream," he said, returning the kiss.

Satel smiled, then frowned and crossed her arms.

What now?

I used to call her 'Green Pea' because she liked them, and her hair looked like them.

"Oh, sorry, Green Pea," Shin said, holding back a laugh.

Satel smiled and ran out of the room. Just as Shin was about to follow, he felt his body drop, and he woke up back in his tent.

He sat up and scratched his head. Eerie silence filled the forest.

Demon God...?

No response.

Shin got up and walked over to Bael's tent. When he opened it, Bael was missing.

He looked around and wandered toward the shore of the lake. Shin noticed a patch of grass pressed flat, as if someone had been sitting there.

Just as he leaned closer to investigate, something burst from the water and dragged him under.

Shin fought back, but the creature pulled him deeper and deeper into the lake.
