Chapter 57 - Chapter 57:Grief vs delusion

The elder took a few steps forward.

"Wait! Father you don't have to do this alone," Satel interjected stepping forward.

Bael walked up to Satel and quickly restrained her, dragging her back.

"Bael you idiot let go of me," Satel barked.

Bael tightened his grip on her the more she struggled.

"None of you are to interfere unless I permit it," the elder ordered.

Shin and Bael nodded in agreement while Satel responded by looking away.

The chief continued walking through the sea of blood, shifting uncomfortable after passing each corpse and muttering to himself.

He stopped just a few feet away from him and stared intently at Ezra. The bloodlust and rage that leaked of the elder was suffocating.

Shin, Bael, Satel and Ezra almost felt like they were drowning.

"Oh relax old man. I didn't kill everybody, some managed to escape but I'll catch them eventually," Ezra said licking her upper lip.

He gritted his teeth as he stared at the tiny girl that managed to kill so many of his people.

"I am the mage elder, Yama and today you have courted death so he had sent me here to bring you to him," the elder spoke, fury lingering on each word like venom.

Ezra stared at the elder, Yama, with a mocking smile.

"Are you sure I'm the one courting death in this scenario?" Ezra remarked.

Yama clenched his fist as he got ready to strike.

"I'll break every bone in your fragile body," Yama spat out.

Ezra's green eye began twitching ecstaticly.

"You know what, I'm not even going to use my calamity. You are not worthy of it," Ezra roared clutching her chest.

Dark, green energy began pouring out of her chest as she forcibly ripped her hand out of her chest, revealing an emerald shard.

She lifted her axe in admiration before slamming it on the shard with so much force that the corpses around her were blown away.

A few seconds later her axe changed from silver to dark green and black. She dragged it across the ground.

Sparks flew with each step she took as the blood shot up as if running from the sparks.

Ezra dashed and swung her axe but Yama simply dodged to the side. She continued swinging with all her might but to no avail as Yama simply dodged.

"Stand still you old fart," Ezra ordered swinging once more.

Yama stood still and waited for the attack. The screech of clashing metal rang out throughout the battlefield as Yama parried the attack with his bare hands.

"So this is your power. I'm quite disappointed since made your self out to be super powerful," Yama said as he threw her back.

Ezra landed a few feet away as she left twin streaks on the ground. She looked up at Yama with fury.

"Dark magic:tier 5:dark wave-sever," Ezra swung her ace with full force as a wave of dark and golden energy headed towards Yama.

The slash tore the ground as the blood parted way for it but Yama didn't move. With a simple wave of his hand he sent the slashing high up into the sky.

" Wha-," Ezra stopped in her tracks as she realized Yama was right infront of her.

Yama patiently took a squatting stance and placed his finger tips on Ezra's chest.

"You shouldn't have messed with my village,"

With a flick of his wrist Yama hit Ezra. The force broke her ribs as the sound of cracking bone rattled across the village and Ezra was sent flying back.
