Adam couldn't wait to jump off the plane, straight into his car, and race toward the mansion where Sofia was waiting. Every muscle in his body was taut with impatience, his mind already ten steps ahead—imagining her face when he walked through the door, the way her eyes would soften, the way she'd whisper my love with that voice that undid him every single time.
And then his moment of blissful anticipation was ruined.
The sound of footsteps echoed down the narrow jet bridge, and before Adam could blink, Raymond and Tristan slid into the car with him like they owned the seats.
Adam blinked, his jaw tightening. "What are you two doing here?"
