Chapter 18 - The Reunion with the Goddess of Fate

Greetings, readers:

Thank you for reading this fan-made work...

Alaudi had always been the most distant and independent Guardian of the Vongola Famiglia. Like a solitary Cloud drifting across the sky at its own pace, he abhorred depending on Giotto or the group's directives; he preferred to handle the affairs within his jurisdiction on his own, according to his own terms and relentless methods.

When Hagoromo and Hamura slowly regained consciousness, the cold stone floor and an unbearable pressure throughout their bodies abruptly brought them back to reality.

When they tried to move, they discovered that they were completely immobilized. Having witnessed the absurd and supernatural physical strength of those two young men, Alaudi was no fool who would let his guard down, no matter how great his pride as a fighter might be. He knew that the boys' sheer brute strength could destroy any ordinary dungeon.

For that reason, he had deployed his signature ability: the Propagation of the Cloud Dying Will Flames.

The special iron shackles imprisoning the brothers had multiplied exponentially, creating a dense network of chains and restraints that wrapped around their arms, torsos, legs, and necks, binding them against thick stone pillars. Every attempt Hamura made to force the links apart only caused the Cloud energy to react, making the restraints heavier and tighter.

—Damn it! What is this...? —Hamura growled, gritting his teeth as he tried to pull with all his strength, only to feel the metal multiplying and tightening even more violently around his shoulders.

—Don't struggle in vain, Hamura —Hagoromo said in a low, grave voice, assessing the situation with a cool head despite the pressure in his chest—. These chains are very strange... The more you struggle, the stronger they become, multiplying whenever they break.

From the dimness of the interrogation room, Alaudi's figure emerged silently. He stopped a few meters away from them, his arms crossed and his icy gray gaze seeming to scrutinize every last corner of their souls.

—Save your strength, boy —Alaudi declared in a frigid voice—. Those shackles propagate and absorb impacts. Unless I release you, you won't get out of there by force.

—You... the guy in the coat —Hamura said, fixing his blazing eyes on the Cloud Guardian—. Where are we? What are you planning to do with us?

—You are at the Vongola Intelligence Headquarters, called CEDEF, and I am Alaudi, the person in charge —Alaudi replied without flinching—. You have caused damage to the Famiglia's property, knocked out our personnel, and possess a strength unlike that of any other people known in this world. It was my duty to neutralize you, and I have done so.

Hagoromo observed Alaudi carefully, recognizing the discipline and composure of a true master of war.

—We weren't looking for trouble —Hagoromo interjected calmly—. Your people at the casino were cheating and threatened us with force or death. We merely defended ourselves.

—In the underworld, debts are paid and rules are respected —Alaudi retorted, taking another step closer. However, your presence raises questions that neither my friend nor I can resolve lightly. You two have an unusual appearance... my companion here claims that you come from space.

Hagoromo and Hamura exchanged puzzled looks, sharing a subtle expression of confusion at a word so foreign to their era.

Noticing the bewilderment on the young men's faces, Alaudi raised his chin and pointed with a curt gesture toward the starry firmament stretching above the city's rooftops.

—I mean that you come from the stars in the sky —the Vongola Guardian clarified with absolute seriousness.

The brothers looked at each other again and, in a perfectly synchronized movement, shook their heads.

—No, we were born among you —Hamura replied, frowning slightly—. We aren't from the sky. As far as I know, we were born here, on Earth. Besides, we can't fly... How exactly are we supposed to have come from the stars if we can't fly? Only birds can fly.

Alaudi fell completely silent.

For a moment, the overwhelming, down-to-earth logic of the answer left the ruthless director of intelligence processing the words with a slightly astonished expression. However, his sharp analytical mind soon dismissed the superficiality of the argument. Although the idea of "outer space" was absurd to two natives of this era, the boys' features continued to defy every norm: their physiques, the density of their auras, and that subtle, unmistakable difference that set them apart from ordinary humans.

Could there be beings in this world who live hidden among us and possess completely different natures? Alaudi wondered inwardly, narrowing his eyes suspiciously.

—Hmm... —the Cloud Guardian murmured, studying every feature of their faces—. And where exactly are you from?

Hagoromo met his gaze without hesitation.

—We are from the Land of Ancestors.

The Land of Ancestors...? Alaudi repeated mentally, recalling an important piece of information from Giotto.

At the exact moment Alaudi finished speaking with the young men, the shadows in the interrogation room trembled. Demon Spade's figure emerged from the darkness with ghostly ease, adjusting his monocle with a sly smile.

—Kufufu... Well, Alaudi. What do we do with them now? —Demon asked, crossing his arms as he observed Hagoromo and Hamura bound by the chains wrapped in Cloud Flames—. The decision is yours, after all. They fell within your jurisdiction.

Alaudi nodded slightly, maintaining his stony expression.

—At first, I intended to handle them myself —Alaudi admitted in a stern, measured voice—. But this goes beyond a simple altercation at a casino or the fact that they are beings different from us. It has a direct connection to Primo... to Giotto.

—Giotto? —Demon inquired, raising an eyebrow curiously.

—These boys come from the Land of Ancestors; they know that land —Alaudi continued, fixing his gaze on the brothers—. And as you well know, about twenty-four years ago, our spies and agents sent to that area stopped reporting altogether. They never returned. For some reason Giotto never clearly explained to us, he categorically refused to send an inspection expedition to find out what had happened there. This became something personal to him... a matter he preferred to keep confidential.

Demon Spade nodded silently, his mocking smile disappearing for a moment as he adopted a calculating expression.

—I understand... So the thread is finally being pulled again —murmured the Vongola Mist Guardian.

Without wasting any time, Alaudi raised his voice toward the dim corridor:—Yamato.

A man with an alert gaze and an athletic build emerged from the darkness of the entrance, walking with a firm stride as he adjusted the hilt of his sword at his waist.

—I'm here, Boss! What do you need? —Yamato replied with a confident, carefree smile.

For more than twenty years, Yamato had been Alaudi's henchman and inseparable companion on the most dangerous missions. Despite knowing that the Cloud Guardian was an extremely strict, cold, and reserved leader, Yamamoto deeply respected his composure and enjoyed working under his orders. He had never failed him on a single assignment.

—Draft an urgent letter to Giotto —Alaudi immediately ordered—. Tell him that we finally have news and answers from the Land of Ancestors. The matter he left unresolved has resurfaced.

—Understood, Boss. I'll leave immediately to dispatch the message —Yamato nodded firmly, turning around and disappearing down the corridor in a hurry.

Demon Spade watched Yamato's figure disappear into the distance before turning his head toward Alaudi, glancing at the two imprisoned young men who had been listening to everything in silence.

—What do you think really happened in that country, Alaudi? —Demon asked in a low, thoughtful voice—. Those boys possess physical strength beyond any human parameters... And Giotto never said a single word about what he experienced there in his youth. Why send agents there in the first place, only to later forbid any investigation into their disappearance?

Alaudi adjusted his dark coat and turned toward the exit, leaving the room illuminated only by the faint light of the torches.

—We'll find out soon enough —the Vongola Cloud Guardian declared coldly—. All that's left is to wait for Lesuya to respond.

In the underground hall of the Vongola main headquarters, Giotto was exercising with overwhelming intensity. The Sky Dying Will Flames burst from his body with a golden glow, heating the air until it became suffocating. However, his gaze revealed deep frustration.

Before his eyes, the System's holographic screen displayed a number that had become stuck: 93% progress in the creation of the Underworld.

He was only 7% away from completing the global mission. Giotto had tried everything: he had expanded his clandestine empire from one end to the other, establishing casinos, an intelligence network, shadow banks, and trade routes throughout every corner of the continent. And although the underworld operated according to his rules, that damn percentage refused to budge.

Despite this stagnation, the rewards accumulated to date were astronomical. The System had already given him the remaining six Vongola Rings intended for his Guardians, along with the Vongola Box Beasts and other animal summons brought from distant worlds. He had even obtained the seven Mare Rings—which he kept locked away in a sealed chest in a secure location—and the Arcobaleno's Rainbow Pacifiers. Nevertheless, these last two artifacts remained inactive; according to the System's directives, they required compatibility and global progress to reach 100%, in other words, for the mission to be completed, before they could unleash their true power and thereby complete the Trinisette trinity.

Giotto stopped, allowing the flames in his hands to gradually subside. He was breathing heavily, wiping the sweat from his face as he analyzed the situation in his mind.

"It's not a matter of territory or money..." Giotto thought keenly. "This stagnation is directly related to the course of the main story. Could it have something to do with Kaguya?"

A pang of unease ran through his chest. Over the years, Giotto had begun to feel a respectful fear of Kaguya. He knew that she was, in essence, the ancestral threat to this planet; the cosmic deity who would eventually become this world's final great trial. A divine final enemy, beautiful and sexy, whose unforgettable memories still shook his thoughts.

He knew that, by this point in time, his friend Tenji had become fertilizer for the Divine Tree. Or, to put it another way, food for the Ten-Tails.

Among the other thoughts that had occupied Giotto over the past quarter-century, one thing stood out: he had met other women while carrying out his leadership duties, but none had even come close to what he had experienced with the Rabbit Goddess. Without a doubt, Kaguya had become the defining milestone and the love of his life.

Within his mind, the two consciousnesses reacted in their own ways.

"Aah... What a woman..." Luciano Gravina sighed with nostalgia and fascination from deep within his mind. "I told you, Lesuya. No one compares to her. She's from another planet in every sense imaginable."

"Please, Luciano, be quiet for a little while..." Giotto's side grumbled, letting out a resigned sigh at his counterpart's fixation.

The moment of reflection was interrupted by the sound of hurried footsteps. A messenger from the intelligence network burst into the training hall, kneeling with a sealed envelope in his hand.

—Primo! An urgent message sent by Yamato from the Intelligence Headquarters in the City of Entertainment —the subordinate announced respectfully.

Giotto took the letter and broke the Vongola wax seal. As he unfolded the paper, he read the lines written under Alaude's signature: the altercation at the Famiglia's largest casino, the detention of two young men with physical strength beyond any human parameters, and the names of those involved: Hagoromo and Hamura, from the Land of Ancestors.

Giotto's eyes widened. The surprise made him take a step back.

—Hagoromo... Hamura! —he exclaimed in a whisper—. They're Kaguya's sons!

The chessboard of fate had just shifted after twenty-five years of apparent calm. The remaining 7% had nothing to do with business, but with the inevitable encounter with the heirs of chakra.

Giotto did not think twice. He discarded his training tunic, put on his combat gloves, swallowed a Dying Will Pill, and unleashed the full power of his spiritual energy.

"Hyper Dying Will Mode!"

The Sky Flame erupted from his forehead with blinding intensity, tinting his eyes a deep orange and enveloping his body in an aura of absolute gravity and composure. Without waiting for preparations or escorts, Giotto pushed off the ground, burst through the exit of the underground complex, and soared into the night sky.

Transformed into a golden streak of fire that tore through the clouds, the Vongola Primo flew at full speed toward the City of Entertainment, knowing that the time to confront the past had arrived.

Knowing that a message sent by ordinary mail would have taken several days to arrive, Giotto raced across the night sky at a prodigious speed. Transformed into a golden fireball propelled by the Dying Will Flames, he crossed the geographical distance in just five hours, finally landing on the outskirts of the City of Entertainment.

Upon reaching the casino facilities and the organization's private headquarters, he was greeted by a deathly silence. The office and the entire complex had been reduced to ruins.

It took only a few steps among the rubble for Giotto to feel an icy shiver run down his spine. The spiritual pressure in the air was crushing, almost suffocating.

Before him, in the middle of the gloom, stood the imposing figure of Kaguya. With terrifying ease, the Goddess held Demon Spade and Alaude by their necks, lifting them off the ground as if they were nothing more than simple dolls. With a dismissive gesture, she threw them aside, and the two Guardians fell unconscious among the shattered stones.

When Kaguya turned toward him, her gaze locked onto Giotto's eyes. For an instant, she stood completely still, but Giotto was even more shocked. The Vongola Primo was breaking out in a cold sweat, overwhelmed by that unique mixture of fear and reverence that only a man experiences when facing his woman's unbridled fury.

"I've been waiting for this moment for more than twenty years," Kaguya said, her voice imposing yet broken by anger and nostalgia. "I searched everywhere for you, but I never found you. The only thing I kept hearing about everywhere was this growing Vongola organization that apparently belongs to you... And look at you now. I sensed that my sons needed my help, so I came all the way here, only to find one of your many headquarters... and you standing right in front of me, Giotto."

Kaguya's tone grew more heated as she unleashed all the frustration she had kept bottled up for a quarter of a century.

"The love of my life... the man who left me behind with that terrible being in the Land of Ancestors, with Tenji. You left me after everything we went through together. I was your first. I was yours... and then you vanished without a trace!"

Giotto remained silent, making no attempt to justify or defend himself. He knew that any excuse would shatter the fragile calm of the moment. In his mind, Luciano and he shared a single thought: they had to calm the flames before the situation became irreparable.

"Hello, Kaguya," Giotto said softly, taking a step forward and showing complete vulnerability. "I know what I put you through, and I know I owe you a great deal. I know I have to make it up to you."

"Yes, you do, Giotto," she replied, clenching her fists as the energy around her fluctuated violently.

"I have a proposal," Giotto said resolutely. "I'll go back with you... but leave my companions alone."

Kaguya frowned sternly, glancing sideways at Alaudi and Demon.

"Why should I let them live?"

"Because you wouldn't want our reunion to be tainted by the deaths of the people who work for me," Giotto explained with a calm gaze. "Besides... I know you missed me. Don't you remember that night? Didn't you miss me at all?"

Those words resonated deep within Kaguya's being. A slight shudder ran through her body as she recalled the moments of intimacy and devotion they had shared twenty-five years earlier. The armor of anger surrounding her face softened for just an instant, revealing the overwhelming attraction and affection she still felt for him.

Giotto advanced slowly, closing the distance until he stood before her, then gently took her hand. Kaguya recoiled with a gesture full of pride and seduction, but she did not withdraw her hand.

"Fine..." Kaguya relented, softening her gaze without losing her divine bearing. "But this isn't over."

When Kaguya uttered that cold "Let's go," the air seemed to freeze. A few meters away, amid the rubble, Demon Spade and Alaudi were struggling in vain to get back on their feet. Bruised and gasping for breath under the overwhelming energy they had just witnessed, the two Guardians tried to ready themselves for battle once more.

Giotto, who had been walking calmly beside Kaguya, stopped for a moment and cast a look of absolute composure toward his two loyal companions. He took a couple of steps toward them and spoke in a firm voice:

"Alaudi... work together with G. Keep the Famiglia running at full capacity in my absence."

"Giotto... what the hell is going on here?" Alaudi asked, gritting his teeth as he held his visibly dislocated shoulder.

"Relax. I know exactly how everything is going to unfold," Giotto replied with a faint, enigmatic smile. "But I'll be away for a while."

"Be away?" Kaguya interjected coldly, turning to look at all three of them with disdain. "You will never see him again."

Giotto simply let out a slight sigh, turned his head toward his Guardians, and, giving them a knowing wink, bid them farewell with an easygoing air.

"Well, boys... I suppose this is where I say goodbye."

Seeing the absolute determination on the Vongola Primo's face and understanding that the situation was under his control, Alaudi and Demon Spade had no choice but to nod in silence.

Kaguya raised her right hand. The very fabric of space groaned as a dimensional rift appeared, and a dark portal opened behind her. Taking a step forward alongside Giotto and her two sons, all four of them vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving behind the smoldering ruins of the Intelligence Headquarters.

On the stone floor, Demon Spade sank heavily against a destroyed wall, letting out a long, incredulous sigh as he adjusted his cracked monocle.

"What... what just happened here?" Demon said, staring at the spot where the rift had just closed. "And where the hell did that woman come from?"

"I don't know... but her strength is monstrous," Alaudi replied, suppressing a groan of pain as he forcefully snapped his shoulder bone back into place. "That woman was going to kill us. If Giotto hadn't appeared at that exact moment, she would have wiped us out with a single snap of her fingers."

Demon Spade fell silent for a few seconds, piecing together fragments of the past twenty-five years in his mind.

"Ah... I think I understand everything now," the Vongola Mist Guardian remarked bitterly.

"What do you understand?" Alaudi asked, adjusting his damaged coat.

"That's why Giotto didn't want us to approach the Land of Ancestors or send any more agents there. All this time, he was protecting us from ever encountering that woman."

Alaudi nodded gravely, understanding the weight of Demon's words.

"Yes... We need to hurry to the Vongola Main Headquarters and tell the others everything."

"And what are we going to do about the Land of Ancestors?" Demon asked.

"Considering that woman's overwhelming strength, it's just as Giotto said: we have to wait for him to show us the way from within," Alaudi declared with a stony expression. "But now I think we need to train much harder... because I have a feeling this is what Giotto has been waiting for all this time. That woman is the final enemy."

"Yes... Let's go," Demon Spade agreed, vanishing into the shadows alongside Alaudi.

Meanwhile, in the Land of Ancestors, the spatial rift opened silently above a green hill overlooking the ancestral lands.

As he crossed the instantaneous portal, Giotto immediately recognized Kaguya's teleportation technique, an ability he knew perfectly well from his previous life. But for Hagoromo and Hamura, the experience bordered on the incomprehensible.

The two brothers, standing behind their mother, could not take their eyes off the man Kaguya had brought with her. They saw Giotto: a tall man with a calm appearance and regal bearing, intense golden eyes, and an aura so unique that he seemed not to belong to this world. And indeed, he did not belong to this plane; the vibration of the Dying Will Flames emanated from his being at a frequency completely foreign to the natural energy that Hagoromo was beginning to perceive in the earth.

Hagoromo and Hamura exchanged a doubtful glance, intrigued by the true identity of this stranger whom their mother regarded with an indecipherable mixture of possessiveness, resentment, and longing.

The wind of the ancestral lands blew gently across the hill, stirring the family's long robes. Hagoromo, as the elder and more analytical of the two brothers, took a few steps forward from behind his mother and broke the silence in an inquisitive tone:

"Mom... who is this person?"

Kaguya did not stop. She continued walking with a firm, majestic stride, merely glancing at him from the corner of her eye before looking ahead again. In a cold, decisive, and unquestionable voice, she dropped the bombshell:

"The man walking ahead... is your father. Yes, he is your father. He abandoned me in the past, and I've gone to bring him back. So treat him well."

Hagoromo and Hamura froze in place, their eyes wide open and their faces contorted with astonishment.

"He... is our father?" Hamura murmured, looking at Giotto with a mixture of bewilderment and distrust.

Giotto felt a wave of discomfort and embarrassment wash over his entire body. He knew perfectly well that this was not biologically true, but the atmosphere was so charged that he did not dare say a single word to deny it. He knew of Kaguya's latent fury and understood that a single misplaced comment would unleash her murderous instincts and one of those icy glares capable of freezing one's blood. Kaguya had decided that Giotto would assume the role of a father figure to her children, and opposing her at that moment would be a tactical suicide.

Unable to deny the claim, Giotto chose to maintain a prudent silence. Although the two young men were overwhelmed with questions and consumed by deep uncertainty, they decided not to press the matter because of the dense, heavy tension surrounding their mother.

The journey continued in silence until they reached the gates of the imposing celestial castle. Upon crossing the threshold, Kaguya dismissed Hagoromo and Hamura with a sharp gesture, firmly grabbed Giotto by the arm, and dragged him straight toward her private chambers. The brothers watched as the door closed behind them, sensing that an extremely complicated conversation was about to take place in private.

However, the moment the heavy wooden door of the main chamber closed and the bolt slid into place, Kaguya's distant goddess facade crumbled completely.

Her breathing quickened uncontrollably. Twenty-five years of loneliness (Tenji doesn't count), resentment, and repressed desire erupted all at once. Without saying a word, Kaguya threw herself at Giotto, wrapping him in a desperate embrace as her hands eagerly roamed over the Vongola Primo's chest and back.

Feeling her so close, Giotto immediately noticed the change. The passage of time, the experience of motherhood, and her full maturity had transformed Kaguya into a woman who was incomparably more seductive and voluptuous. Her curves were now far more pronounced, and her bearing conveyed a mature sensuality that completely overshadowed the young woman she had once been.

Within Giotto's mind, Luciano Gravina's most uninhibited and passionate side rose to the surface without the slightest restraint.

"Well, well... Just look at you..." Luciano thought with a thoroughly fascinated smile, taking complete control of Giotto's actions.

Giotto firmly wrapped his arms around Kaguya's waist, pulling her tightly against his body. Without a moment's hesitation, he lifted her into his arms while sealing his lips against hers in a passionate, hungry kiss that left the Goddess breathless. Kaguya let out a soft moan against his lips, wrapping her arms around his neck as he carried her straight toward the spacious silk-covered bed.

After laying her down on the sheets, Giotto leaned over her with a gaze filled with dominance, seduction, and the refined silver tongue that had always driven her crazy back in the old days.

"Now then, my goddess... I think it's my turn to show you who's in charge of whom," he whispered in her ear in a deep, suggestive voice.

Kaguya nodded slowly, closing her eyes with a smile of complete surrender. She gladly accepted this game of roles; Giotto's words, his commanding tone, and his irreplaceable presence were the only elixir capable of subduing her divine pride. Although deep down she herself still could not fully understand why she had allowed the affair with Tenji in the past, having Giotto in her arms once again instantly erased every ghost of yesterday.

In the arms of the only man who had ever touched her soul, Kaguya felt complete once again for the first time in a quarter of a century.

…

December 15, 1014 B.N.

The battles in Kaguya's royal chambers were endless. What was supposed to be a place of rest had become a veritable arena of unrestrained passion. Countless rounds followed one another, marked by heavy breathing, the constant collision of their bodies, and a mutual devotion that destroyed more than one bed and left the futons unusable.

Each day repeated the same pattern at least three times, relentlessly. Backed by the superhuman physique granted to him by the System and his own Sky energy, Giotto managed to maintain the pace through hours-long encounters. Kaguya, possessing the almost infinite stamina of the Divine Tree, seemed theoretically inexhaustible; however, she had no defense against Giotto's technique, seduction, and majestic touch.

The Vongola Primo melted her like butter. Under his hands, the ruler of the heavens writhed, surrendering to a submissive side she would never have revealed to anyone else. Every position and game that would have been unthinkable with anyone else, Giotto performed with such absolute elegance and dominance that, instead of feeling humiliated or embarrassed, Kaguya experienced divine pleasure that surpassed her own power.

If the former King Tenji had dared to suggest anything of the sort in the past, she would have reduced him to ashes on the spot. But with Giotto, it was different: his deep voice, his firm grip on her hair, and the confidence of his movements made every moment a consecration of her devotion. Giotto seemed more mature, stronger, and possessed such a regal bearing that he enveloped her completely, carrying her to levels of ecstasy she had never known.

The echoes of those encounters inevitably resounded through the palace corridors. Hagoromo and Hamura became the unwilling victims of those moans and loud crashes that traveled through the stone architecture. The two brothers barely saw their mother; they would leave to carry out the kingdom's duties, and when they returned, the castle's atmosphere was still permeated by the same ambience. That persistence eventually dispelled their doubts: without a doubt, that man had to be the father figure their mother had spoken of.

Direct interaction with him, however, was almost nonexistent. During the brief hours of mealtime, they exchanged a few words, but immediately afterward, Giotto would retire to his chambers, claiming that he needed to rest.

What the brothers did not know was that, during the brief moments of solitude when Kaguya was away attending to matters concerning her domain, Giotto maintained indirect contact with the Famiglia's leadership.

Making full use of the Vongola Mist Ring's power, Demon Spade managed to camouflage his presence completely, slipping inside Giotto's room like an imperceptible shadow.

Demon's figure materialized beside the window. He adjusted his monocle with a barely concealed mocking smile as he observed his leader's exhausted posture.

"Kufufu... Hello, boss. You look pretty tired," Demon Spade remarked in a whisper.

"Shut up, idiot..." Giotto replied, sinking onto a cushion while rubbing his temples. "How is everyone at headquarters?"

"Training hard, just as you ordered," Spade assured him, regaining his seriousness for a moment. "Alaudi and G have everyone under relentless discipline. No one is letting their guard down."

Giotto nodded silently, his gaze fixed on the ceiling, aware that every piece on the board was moving exactly as planned.

As the weeks passed, the days in the ancestral palace became a continuous cycle. Giotto secretly adjusted his plans whenever he had the opportunity to meet with his Mist Guardian.

"Well... with today, I've been here for two years," Giotto remarked, exhaling a sigh as he rolled his shoulders. "In another four months, I'm going to escape from here, Spade."

Demon Spade, concealed within the shadows near the window, watched him attentively and nodded.

"And where are you planning to escape through, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Through the underground tunnels I had built a long time ago," Giotto revealed with a slight, satisfied smile.

"I see..." Spade remarked, adjusting his monocle. "So those tunnels were being built long before you came to this place."

"Exactly," Giotto nodded. "I designed that underground network specifically for situations of this magnitude, in case we ever had Kaguya or a similar threat tracking us. It will allow us to evade her reach without leaving a trace."

"But, boss... why go to the trouble of using deep tunnels when we could simply use teleportation or travel to another territory?" Spade asked curiously.

Giotto adopted a serious expression and explained:

"Kaguya possesses a unique sensory ability. Her third eye allows her to perceive a resonance that covers astronomical distances; practically nothing escapes her if she's out in the open or near the surface."

"Kaguya's eye? Seriously?" Spade asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes," Giotto affirmed. "That's why those tunnels were built to very strict specifications. If I remember correctly, the Famiglia's engineers used fragments of stone enriched by the Mist Tribe to insulate the walls, right?"

"That's right," Demon Spade confirmed. "And not just Mist stones; we also imbued the lining with the energy of the Rain Flames to pacify and camouflage the spiritual signature of the underground base. The camouflage is absolute."

"Understood," Giotto nodded. "That will keep all sensory tracking completely blocked."

"And why wait four years? We could carry out the extraction sooner," Spade challenged, looking at Giotto with a certain mischievousness. "Are you sure it's not because you want to spend more time with her?"

Giotto fell silent for a moment, unable to completely deny his Guardian's insinuation. Then, crossing his arms, he replied with feigned sternness:

"Shut up and leave already, before Kaguya returns. You know perfectly well that when she gets close, her senses become ten times sharper, and she might detect fluctuations in your illusion."

"You're absolutely right, boss... That woman is terrifying," Spade admitted, beginning to dissolve into the air. "I have to push the Mist Ring almost to its limit to keep her from detecting me. Are you sure we'll be able to deal with her in the future? Honestly, I don't think we could defeat a monster like that on our own."

"We won't be the ones to defeat her," Giotto clarified with absolute calm. "But I know who will. We just need to buy time until that moment arrives in the timeline."

"I understand..." Spade murmured, disappearing completely into the gloom.

Left alone in the room, Giotto let his head fall back against the cushions and released a long sigh, placing a hand on his lower back.

"Ah... God, my hips hurt..." he muttered to himself, though a satisfied smile spread across his lips. "But I'm enjoying it more than you can imagine. If some otaku from my previous life could see me now... having intense, multiple-round battles every day with Kaguya Otsutsuki herself. Now this is the life."

His musings were interrupted when he noticed the air in the room beginning to grow colder and Kaguya's presence approaching the palace.

"Well... looks like my break is over," Giotto said, getting to his feet and stretching energetically. "Time to get my hips ready again."

Giotto was alone in the room, gently stretching his waist and releasing a long sigh as he placed a hand on his lower back. The echo of his thoughts led him to question the physical changes he had been experiencing since integrating into this world.

"System..." he murmured inwardly, searching for the familiar response in his mind. "I have a question. Why do I have so much stamina when I'm intimate with someone? This is something that never happened to me before I arrived in this plane."

The cold, calculating interface did not take long to respond from the depths of his consciousness:

"User, the answer is your new body. Your current organism is deeply infused with a great vitality of Yang energy."

"Yang energy?" Giotto repeated, tilting his head slightly.

"Affirmative. It is the manifestation of active vital force that predominates in the physical plane of this universe. And your body, modified by the remnants of this world's equivalent of the Trinisette and the nature of its environment, stores an exponentially greater amount of it than any ordinary living being in this world."

"I see..." Giotto thought, processing the information. "Putting aside physical performance in the bedroom, what other direct benefits come with harboring such a high density of Yang energy?"

"Drastically extended longevity," the System immediately replied.

Giotto's eyes widened in genuine surprise.

"An extremely long lifespan? Give me an estimated figure. With the amount of Yang energy my current body possesses in this world, how many years could I live?"

"Approximately two thousand years."

"Two thousand years...?" He let out a muffled laugh, shaking his head in disbelief. "That's absolutely insane. To think that in my previous life, I had barely lived a couple of decades before stumbling into the underworld... Besides, if I remember correctly, Yang energy is the fundamental basis that characters like Hashirama Senju would later use to manifest Wood Release by combining it with Water and Earth."

Giotto formed a cunning smile, crossing his arms as he assessed his new biological condition.

Giotto formed a cunning smile, crossing his arms as he assessed his new biological condition. However, after a few moments of reflection, a deeper question crossed his mind.

"But, System... there has to be a compelling reason behind all this. Why is it truly necessary for my body to harbor such an enormous amount of Yang energy? I don't think it's simply so I can live for two millennia or satisfy Kaguya's voracious devotion. There has to be an operational purpose behind this reserve."

The System's interface immediately resonated within his consciousness, clarifying the architecture behind his existence:

"Correct assessment, User. The accumulation of Yang energy in your organism is governed by the fundamental laws of this world. To channel and anchor the power of the Trinisette within this reality without being rejected as a foreign body, you must physically and spiritually adapt to its rules."

The System paused before elaborating on its explanation:

"Entities such as Kaguya possess overwhelming amounts of Yin and Yang energy, allowing them to transcend the boundaries between life, death, spirit, and physical body, much as Hagoromo will in the future. For you to interact on the same level and stabilize the Trinisette—a force foreign to the native laws of this plane—you needed a biological catalyst of maximum density. In essence, you are external entities who must coexist and intertwine with the laws of this world in order to reshape it without destroying it."

Giotto nodded slowly, finally understanding the scale of the game he had become involved in.

"I understand... So it's a process of absolute synchronization and assimilation. We're anomalies that must fit perfectly into the world's machinery in order to take control."

Giotto smiled confidently once more, rolling his shoulders as determination returned to his eyes.

"Well, if I have such a reserve of Yang energy at my disposal... I'd better start putting it to good use. After all, I might as well enjoy the benefits of this body."

At that very moment, before he could take another step, the air in the room began to cool subtly, and Kaguya's unmistakable presence stealthily approached the door.

"Looks like my break has ended," Giotto said to himself, rising to his feet with renewed energy and a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Time to get my hips ready again."

…

December 28, 1010 B.N.

Time continued its inexorable march within the celestial palace. Four years had passed since that clandestine meeting with Demon Spade, bringing the total to six full years since Giotto had begun living under the same roof as the Rabbit of the Night.

Throughout all those years, Giotto spared no effort. He truly pushed himself to his limits to satisfy every desire, every demand, and every facet of Kaguya. It was a period of such excessive and continuous devotion as he had never experienced before in his life, to the point that Kaguya, completely satisfied and overwhelmed by pleasure and constant attention, was able to sink into deep periods of rest, remaining content and blissful in her chambers.

For Kaguya, this fulfillment suddenly filled the immense void left by the twenty-five years of loneliness she had endured. Those twenty-five years of bitterness, resentment, and distrust following Tenji's betrayal finally seemed to have dissipated beneath the warmth and presence of the Vongola Primo.

However, for Giotto, the physical toll was colossal. Despite his formidable constitution, strengthened by the System and the flow of the Sky Flames, the endless, relentless battles were taking a real toll on his hips and joints. He was on the verge of exhaustion, surviving on sheer willpower alone.

Seeing Kaguya fast asleep beside him, wrapped in a restful slumber after hours of unrestrained passion, Giotto slowly slipped out from beneath the covers with extreme caution. Every movement of his hips was silent torture, but he could not afford to make even the slightest noise.

"Six years... the time is finally up," Giotto thought, suppressing a groan of pain as he stood up and adjusted his clothes.

He took one last look at the Goddess, whose expression seemed more serene and gentle than it had been in decades, and formed a faint, ironic smile.

"I gave you everything you wanted to make up for those twenty-five years, my goddess... But my time here has come to an end."

Taking advantage of Kaguya's deep sleep, Giotto subtly activated his intuition, locating his surroundings in the gloom through the flow of the Mist. The day of his escape had arrived, and the underground tunnels secretly prepared for this moment awaited him at the end of the shadows.

Hello, dear readers! Wissumi here. Today I want to explain my perspective on crossovers. In this story, the system doesn't just grant a power that breaks the laws of the world where the character is reincarnated or reborn; rather, it's about how the character adapts to the actual laws of that world.

For example, we can't expect a Z-Fighter from the Dragon Ball universe to simply operate the same way in the world of One Piece, because planets and worlds have different fundamental laws that they must abide by. Another good example: Saitama wouldn't be able to showcase his exact levels of destructive power in the Dragon Ball universe, because the nature and origin of powers are tied to different universal laws.

This is something I deeply respect regarding each author's established world-building and rules. I hope this helps you understand how I handle things in this fanfiction!

Well, that's all for now. Have a great read!

Happy reading! Bye-bye!
