Loki POV
"W-Where am I?"
I looked around in a trance. I didn't know where I was; all I knew was that I was in some kind of forest.
"From my mom's room to a forest… What is going on today…"
I got up from the ground and looked around. The forest wasn't as dense, and nothing looked dangerous on sight, just birds and some small animals.
Even with the lack of predators, I kept my guard up and stayed close to the trees as I wandered about the forest. I'd place marks on the trees using a sharp stone I found on the ground so I would know if I had been there before.
The forest was bigger than I expected, and the biggest animal I've seen so far was a deer, nothing dangerous… Until I found a running stream and saw that it was packed with wild animals. From deer, fox, monkey, to a wolf.
I froze in the sight of the giant wolf. Its height was around my hip, and its claws were as big as my fingers.
I slowly backed up, but as I did, the wolf turned around. My heart dropped, and I readied myself for a fight, as I knew I couldn't outrun a wolf.
The wolf made his way in my direction slowly but surely. Once he was in punching distance, I fixed my form and delivered a right hook to his face. However, as my fist made it to the wolf's face, it went directly inside the wolf and passed it.
To my shock, the wolf walked into me and passed me like I was a ghost. It didn't growl, pounce, or even acknowledge my existence. It was as if I were a ghost.
"N-No way… Did I die? Am I in the afterlife?"
Ding
As I thought about how I could've possibly died, a sudden notification sound rang into my right ear.
I turned to the right and saw a floating blue screen that said, [No, you did not die.]
Confused, I asked, "What? What is this? And why did that wolf pass me like I was a ghost?"
The blue prompt quickly answered, [You are currently in a brand new world. I am your guide, your tool, and your companion for this journey. And as I've said before, you're not dead.]
My brows furrowed, "Journey? What journey? I haven't even finished my fucking curry. And what's this so-called Other world? Are those the Isekai troop? I have read a few, but rarely do they entertain me."
[Something like that. Currently, you are outside of the realm you came to be, so it's technically Isekai. And as for your journey, it's yet to be told.]
Hearing the last part, I froze and quickly realized. This could be it. This could be my very own story, where I can change the past and the future. A journey that could turn to life!
With a smile, I asked the prompt, "So, what exactly do you do? What are you? What's your name? And lastly, what happened to my body?"
[I'm glad you asked. I am Mobius, a system to help you throughout your journey. And what I do is something special. I can grant you the power to weave stories, history, and fate of lies to make them reality!]
"W-What?"
The system changed to something different that showed my "Stats" to myself.

After showing me my stats, the system continued, [These are your stats! I cannot help you increase them directly, but I can give you rewards once you level up. Each level you gain, you will be given multiple choices through cards. These cards can grant you powers, skills, equipment, or increase your base stats!]
I nodded in understanding, then asked a question, "Ok, I understood that part, but how exactly do I level up?"
The system quickly answered, [Great question! To gain levels, you must make a quest, or anything that could change someone's fate! To create new stories out of nothing, you must first start a mission!]
The system prompt changed once more.

[By pressing this button, you will be given cards, cards that can be changed to any form, such as: Humans, monsters, demons, gods, or anything that can be made that is a living thing! We call such cards as "Avatars." These avatars can help you fabricate lies that become true!
But you must always remember that these cards have rankings, and the higher the rank, the more powerful an Avatar can be.
For example:
Iron card: A simple cat
Bronze card: A wild fox
Silver card: A Human (No energy)
Note: Universal energy is energy that can be used and changed to another form of energy that matches the current world you are in. For example, your energy can be changed to Chakra, Qi, Chi, or mana. And anything above silver will have Universal energy; the higher the card, the stronger the energy.
Gold card: A human.
Platinum: A demon/angel
Diamond: A God
White/Black cards: Unknown.
This ranking will be used on all the cards given to the user, even the cards given to the user for a boost of power.
After you have fabricated a lie, made a story, or created a quest, your story will be scanned by the system and rate its difficulty/impact on the world you're currently in.
The rankings are as follows: F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, Ex.
After being scanned by the system, the evaluation will be given a reward, but not for the user, but for the person who was given the quest to.
Just like the user, those to whom you give out the quest to can also have a reward, depending on whether the user wishes to or not. The higher the rank of the quest is, the bigger the reward.]
Reading all this information, my hands trembled, and a grin formed on my face.
"Ha… Hahaha… I can change it, I can change fate itself to create a story that could change everything!"
Without hesitation, I clicked the "Start quest" button.
"Let's start quickly! There's a story to be told!"
