Justin's POV
The sound of Elena's soft breathing filled the quiet of the room. She had drifted into one of those rare moments of peace, curled against the pillows, her face finally relaxed after weeks of torment and healing.
I sat at the edge of the bed, watching her.
I really thank God for protecting us and actually bringing us out of that pit. Since I left my house suddenly, the butler alerted the policemen and my car was tracked, that was how I was found and we are her standing today, I know I've not been the best husband to her, but I'm really trying my best but Sometimes I still caught myself wondering if all this was real. If she was truly here, alive, safe, resting in my home instead of tied up in that hellhole Dante had left her in.
