The emperor, Shang — Kazuki's father — stepped forward and greeted the angel. It was clear they knew each other well, as the angel smiled and said,"This will be the last royal family child of this generation, right?"
Emperor Shang nodded."Yes, you're correct. And I heard that recently, an angel close to you left Lord Julius's court."
The angel's expression darkened for a moment before he waved it off."Yeah… but forget it for now. Let's see what kind of royal beast your youngest son turns out to be."
Shang sighed, lowering his voice."At least don't call me by my name in front of my kingdom's people."
The angel smirked but said nothing more.
Soon after, a few royal officials guided young Kazuki toward the ceremonial orb. The entire room fell silent as the boy approached it. With a deep breath, Kazuki placed his small hand upon the glowing crystal.
And in an instant, time around Kazuki froze.
Everything and everyone in the hall came to a standstill. A heavy, eerie silence filled the air as Kazuki found himself surrounded by darkness. He looked up — and there they were.
Two massive, piercing blue eyes stared down from the endless black sky above him. The same eyes he had seen in that strange dream back in his past life. The same eyes that haunted him for thirteen days, whispering his name, over and over.
A deep, cruel laugh echoed through the void."Hahahaha…"
And then came that chilling, sinister voice — one Kazuki would never forget.
