Ben: I thought you opened it, check shell status.
Vicky: Shell status within nominal readings according to the computer, I'll try running full diagnostics.
Audio Log 2 -
Vicky: Ben! We have a problem, the diagnostics showed section 12 closed. Why is it open?
Ben: I don't know. Try restarting the shell.
Vicky: But we won't be able to control the other sections unless we take manual controls.
Ben: Shell drift with these solar winds will only be a few hundred meters per second, it'll be fine.
Audio Log 3 -
Ben: Section 5 drifting off course too far, how's the restart coming along?
Vicky: 82.6% complete, get section 5 back on course, I'll take care of section 4.
Audio Log 4 -
Vicky: Restart complete, shell reforming ….. except for section 12. Ben section 12 is still drifting!
Ben: What!? How!? The restart should have corrected it. Try manual control again.
Vicky: Already tried, still nothing.
Ben: Well we need to figure something out before the star blows!
Audio Log 5 -
Vicky: Energy and gravity anomalies detected, adjusting shell for fluctuation. Ben keep the solar winds in check!
Ben: Solar winds in check, moving onto emergency swarm release.
Vicky: Wait! Releasing the swarm in these conditions will just destroy them.
Ben: Vicky it's our only choice to make up for section 12's absence!
Audio Log 6 -
Ben: Swarm released ….. Vicky it's not working!
Vicky: FUCK! Try swarm override.
Ben: No response, trying again. Still no response.
Vicky: Alert system for evac, supernova threat.
If we can't stabilise this star it'll wipe out three systems.
Ben: That's almost 500 billion life forms, we need this stable now!
Audion Log 7 -
Ben: Alert sent, that'll given a head start for the evac crews.
Vicky: Good. I'm going to use section 11 to push 12 back into place.
Ben: But that'll destroy both, relative velocity difference must be below 10 meters per second, that's not possible in manual control.
Vicky: It's the only chance we have.
Audio Log 8 -
Ben: SHIT! SECTION 11 LOST CONNECTION!
Vicky: SECTION 12 DESTROYED ALONG WITH 11, ENERGY LEVELS SPIKING!
Ben: 10 Sections alone can't handle these levels, we don't have long before it goes supernova.
Vicky: Discharge stored energy from sections 1 through 10. That should allow a few more minutes for evac vessels to FTL jump out.
Ben: Shell collapse along with supernova T-6 minutes 35 seconds. Let's hope evac ships will get out in time.
Audio Log 9 -
Ben: T-2 minutes on collapse.
Vicky: Evac vessels got as many people out as they could, at least the other systems have a few years.
Ben: I'll transmit system logs to the other systems so they can rebuild and prevent this from happening again.
Vicky: One last act of kindness I suppose. Send it to as many systems we can… HURRY T-45 seconds!
