Chapter 8 - 8

Emily couldn't help but frown. Why did such an outstanding and amazing man come close to her?

This had to make Emily alert. In front of big men like them, she would be reduced to ashes if she wasn't careful, and she would disappear silently like falling into the deep sea in a minute.

She then entered the name that Joseph had been talking about in the search bar: Emma.

Emily thought, either Joseph protected the woman very well and never made her public, or the woman was indeed a very ordinary girl.

It was just strange, why did Joseph mistake her for Emma?

Outside the room, a servant knocked on the door and asked her to go downstairs for breakfast.

When Emily went downstairs, she found that Christopher and Mrs. Christopher had gotten up early and were sitting at the dining table, reading newspapers while waiting for the servants to serve breakfast.

Mrs. Christopher was already impatiently urging: "We have been waiting for half an hour, why is your breakfast not ready yet?"

After Emily sat down, breakfast was served in less than a minute, and there were many styles, and it seemed that she was deliberately letting her choose which one to eat.

I don't know if I think too much, Emily suddenly felt that these servants seemed to be serving her everywhere.

Emily is not particular about food, she likes everything that tastes good.

She picked up a sandwich and ate it slowly.

At this time, Abigail came downstairs.

Seeing such a rich breakfast on the table, her beautiful eyes suddenly bloomed with joy.

"The owner of this house is really generous. He can be so good to the housekeeper's relatives!" Abigail said while eating.

After Emily finished the milk in her cup, the servant waiting beside her immediately brought another cup of warm milk to her.

She raised her eyes and smiled at the servant, saying, "Thank you!"

"That maid, you don't have to be so nice to her in the future. She is just my mother's stepdaughter, and I am my mother's biological daughter." Seeing this, Abigail specifically stated that they were the housekeeper's cousins, and this Emily was just a burden.

The servant smiled slightly and did not respond to her.

After Abigail finished her milk, she thought the servant would take the initiative to bring another cup, but she waited for a long time and nothing happened.

She looked up at the smiling servant and said, "Give me another cup of milk!"

"Sorry, Miss, there is no hot milk. If you still want to drink, there is only cold milk." The servant said politely and respectfully.

"No more!" Abigail seemed to be unable to believe her ears. Why was there no more when she came here!

"Then go and heat a cup for me!" Abigail raised her voice.

"Sorry, Miss, there is no hot milk now." The servant still smiled lightly, as if very respectful, but the meaning of the words was that they would not heat milk for her.

Abigail's face changed, and the eldest lady's temper suddenly broke out. The milk cup in her hand fell heavily on the table, pointing her long finger at the servants and scolding: "Are you deaf or stupid? What do you mean there is no hot milk? Don't you know to heat it up if there is no hot milk? I really don't know what's the point of keeping you idiots!"

The servants did not respond, still smiling lightly, as if they treated Abigail, who was angry, as air.

The feeling of being ignored angered Abigail even more.

Mrs. Christopher beside her also noticed something was wrong, and hurriedly pulled her daughter's sleeve, whispering to remind her: "Daughter, we are now living under someone else's roof, you should restrain yourself!"

Hearing this, Abigail calmed down a little. She raised her eyes, glanced at the servants coldly, and said sarcastically: "When I see my cousin later, I will report your attitude to him. You simply can't distinguish your status and obligations as a servant."

After Emily finished breakfast and saw Abigail get angry, she sighed in her heart. She was obviously living in someone else's house, and she dared to be so arrogant!

She was about to get up, and the servants waiting on the side suddenly called out respectfully to the door of the restaurant: "Daniel!"

Emily looked up and saw that her cousin had really come.

Daniel was wearing a Zhongshan suit and looked to be in his 40s or 50s. He was well-maintained, so you couldn't tell his real age. He looked very energetic.

"Cousin!" Mrs. Christopher saw Daniel and hurriedly smiled and greeted him.

"Yeah!" Daniel only responded lightly, and his eyes moved to Emily who also stood up and greeted him with a smile.

"Emily, are you used to living here?" Daniel's tone was a little more concerned.

Emily felt a little uncomfortable listening to it, after all, they were not familiar with each other.

She smiled slightly and nodded, "Thank you for your concern, housekeeper. It's an honor to live here."

Abigail on the side had a dark face. She wondered why her cousin came in not to greet them, but Emily, the bitch.

"By the way, cousin, your servants are really arrogant. We can't even heat milk." Abigail took the opportunity to complain.

Hearing this, Daniel tilted his head and looked at Abigail, the smile on his face faded slightly: "Really?"

"Of course it's true, just now..." Abigail wanted to say something, but was stopped by Mrs. Christopher beside her.

Mrs. Christopher glared at her daughter, and hurriedly smiled and said to Daniel: "It's okay, just a misunderstanding!"

"That's good!" Daniel said, and then turned his eyes to Christopher and said: "Our young master will come back to dinner with you in the evening."

Christopher heard it, and his old face instantly smiled: "Then please arrange it, cousin!"

After the housekeeper finished speaking, he turned around and prepared to leave.

Christopher and Mrs. Christopher hurriedly and politely sent the housekeeper out, and Emily and Abigail followed to send the housekeeper out.

When they were sent out, a domineering and awe-inspiring, nearly 7-meter-long limited edition luxury black Maybach just drove in from outside the villa.

The car suddenly stopped in front of them, and the window of the back seat slowly lowered.

Daniel walked over quickly and bowed respectfully to wait for the young master's instructions.
