Chapter 345 - Chapter 345: The Women's Avengers Alliance Gathers

On the other side of the battlefield, our little Spider-Man was clutching the Infinity Gauntlet, surrounded by a dozen burly, ferocious alien warriors.

They stared at the Gauntlet like starving wolves, ready to tear it from Peter's hands.

They lunged at him viciously, piling over him until Spider-Man was buried beneath a heap of alien brutes.

"I can handle it!"

"I can handle it!"

"No! I can't—can someone help me?!"

"Help!"

Steve Rogers quickly noticed what was happening.

"Hey, Queens kid! Heads up!" he shouted, then hurled Thor's hammer with all his might toward Spider-Man.

Peter spotted Mjölnir flying through the air. A flash of astonishment crossed his eyes.

He shifted quickly, fired a strand of webbing, and caught hold of the hammer's handle.

With the surge of force Mjölnir gave him, Spider-Man tore free from the alien dogpile and soared out of danger.

As he zipped through the battlefield, Valkyrie and Pepper Potts in her Rescue armor covered him from above and below, helping him dodge through laser fire and explosions.

But just as things looked better, the laser turrets mounted on Thanos' colossal warship turned toward them.

One searing beam struck Spider-Man midair, sending his body plummeting like a kite with its string snapped.

Even then, he refused to let go of the Gauntlet.

His body trembled, the pain intense, but Peter clutched the Infinity Gauntlet tighter, shielding it with his whole being.

He knew what was at stake. This was the last chance to save the universe. The Gauntlet couldn't fall into Thanos' hands.

Groaning, he forced himself up, dragging his battered body forward and sprinting toward the rusty brown van housing the Quantum Tunnel.

But carrying the Gauntlet had marked him as Thanos' number one target.

The warship's targeting systems locked onto him.

A barrage of focused laser blasts erupted, vaporizing everything in their path.

Peter barely got a few steps in before he was hit again. The explosion ripped his nano-helmet apart, leaving his face exposed and burned.

Before he could recover, more lasers struck. Smoke and dirt erupted around him. He froze, dazed and unable to move.

He wasn't alone. Groot, Bucky, and other Avengers were also caught in the blasts, thrown back like rag dolls.

Even Alex Ray wasn't entirely untouched—though, unlike the others, he didn't look the least bit troubled.

Amid the bedlam, he stood in the battlefield's heart like a statue—calm, unshaken, immovable. Like a silent sentinel in a storm.

He slowly raised his head toward the hovering warship above. An impatient glint flashed in his eyes.

"This buzzing... annoying as hell," he muttered.

In the next instant, Alex Ray blasted into the sky like a rocket, launching himself until he was eye-level with the hovering dreadnought.

He inhaled deeply and extended his right arm, palm opening wide.

The air above shimmered—then ruptured with invisible force.

A titanic phantom hand appeared, manifesting from thin air. It blotted out the sky, a spectral force too vast to comprehend.

The colossal hand drifted toward the ship, and under its crushing pressure, the vessel groaned and warped. Its hull crumpled like tin foil in a vise.

The laser attacks halted abruptly.

Down on the ground, stunned Avengers looked up, confused.

"What the hell just happened?" Steve murmured, his brows drawn in tight suspicion.

The battlefield fell silent. No more blasts. No more screaming. Just awe.

"Look at the sky!" someone cried.

All eyes turned upward—toward the phantom hand crushing the massive warship with slow, ruthless force.

"It's that guy! The one who fought Thanos solo!"

"Who is that? He's insane... Makes us look useless."

"Holy crap, is Alex Ray a monster?" Tony Stark whispered, mouth agape.

He stared at Alex, floating in the heavens, compressing a warship the size of a city block into a molten core.

The power. The control.

Tony shuddered. If someone like Alex had been on Thanos' side...

Hell, if they'd even thought about stealing his Infinity Stones back then, they wouldn't be standing here.

He felt a brief pang of gratitude they hadn't. The kind that came with surviving a near-death experience you didn't even realize you had.

Because if Alex Ray had wanted to hunt them down across the multiverse—Tony wasn't sure even resurrection would save him.

Thanos, for once, ignored his own crumbling warship.

He had only one goal now: the Gauntlet.

"Kid," Thanos growled, his voice cold and resolute. "Hand it over."

Peter clutched the Gauntlet tighter. His voice trembled, but his eyes didn't waver.

"Never."

He knew. He knew what would happen if Thanos got it.

Thanos frowned. "Enough."

In a blur of violet light, Thanos launched toward him, ready to seize the prize himself.

But just before he could reach Spider-Man, a golden blast collided with his chest, knocking him back through the air.

Carol Danvers—Captain Marvel—descended from the clouds, glowing like a star gone nova.

"Not on my watch," she said with calm conviction.

Peter looked up in awe. But she wasn't alone.

"I've got you," Wanda Maximoff whispered, kneeling beside him.

Her voice, gentle but fierce, radiated power.

"He's not alone."

As Wanda's words echoed, women surged from the edges of the battlefield like an unstoppable tide.

Shuri, tech genius of Wakanda.

The Wasp, agile and deadly.

Pepper, clad in blue and silver armor.

Okoye, the bald warrior general of the Dora Milaje.

Valkyrie, mounted and ready.

Mantis, with her eerie calm.

Nebula, fierce and unwavering.

Natasha—Black Widow herself.

Gamora, sword in hand.

The Women of the Avengers—assembled.

A fierce vanguard, battle-ready, eyes locked on Thanos.

They formed ranks, preparing to clash in their first united front.

But Thanos just sneered.

He wasn't afraid. He wasn't even focused on them.

Instead, he looked upward, waiting.

And from the heavens descended a figure bathed in light—silver-white armor radiating energy, eyes glowing like twin suns.

Alex Ray.

The one who had just dismantled a warship with his bare hands.

Now, he stood between Thanos and everything he wanted.

"Hey, Thanos," Alex said casually. "You're not going anywhere."
