Wanda's heart churned with anxiety and confusion. She didn't understand why Alex Ray had suddenly become so melancholy—but the presence sharing her body did.
And that presence might know exactly what kind of enemy Alex was about to face.
"What do you mean, other me? You should respect your elders. Call me Sister. Or better yet—Goddess Sister. Got it?"
Wanda muttered internally, responding to the voice that echoed in her mind. The voice still carried its overwhelming charm, but it left her feeling oddly embarrassed and helpless.
The being who referred to herself as Goddess Sister was, after all, the most powerful version of herself—a version shaped by eons beyond time and space, weathered by multiversal storms. It was hard to even compare this cosmic figure to the girl Wanda was now.
And yet… she insisted on being called Sister. Every time.
This voice only existed in her mind because of Alex Ray.
When Alex's system absorbed the power of the Time Stone, he unlocked a unique skill called [I Treat Myself]—a power that allowed a variant of oneself from another universe to temporarily possess the body.
Alex had shared this with his friends and teammates through the group chat.
Everyone was curious and gave it a try. But the results were underwhelming.
Most people got versions of themselves who were weaker—less trained, less developed.
The only exception was Wanda.
She had summoned the strongest version of herself: Chaos Goddess Wanda.
That's right. In a parallel world, Wanda had become a literal goddess of chaos.
If Alex had known Wanda carried even a sliver of that being's soul, he would've screamed cheat code! Because that wasn't just a power-up. That was a golden ticket—divine-level hacks.
How powerful was Chaos Goddess Wanda?
Let's put it this way: In Doctor Strange 3, normal Wanda could one-shot Black Bolt and Mr. Fantastic and even destroy an entire universe just by using a corrupted copy of the Darkhold.
But Chaos Goddess Wanda had absorbed the authentic original Darkhold—not just its power, but its very essence. She even killed a god.
Still not convinced?
The second-most powerful version of Wanda is classified as an Omega-level mutant, which is already the ceiling for mutant power levels. That version could erase all mutants from existence with a single sentence. She could warp reality at will.
And she's only second place.
You can imagine just how terrifying the Chaos Goddess—ranked first—really is.
Of course, what currently resides in Wanda is only a fraction of that divine soul. If the Chaos Goddess herself were to descend fully, the entire universe—or Wanda's physical form—would be obliterated by the weight of her presence.
Even with just a trace, Wanda had felt that surge—an overwhelming tsunami of energy and knowledge. It wasn't just power. It was insight—into life, the cosmos, herself.
Only then did she realize: she could become that powerful. And the threats in the Marvel Universe weren't just dangerous—they were existential.
"Sister… are you saying the enemy Alex is facing is like Hades?"
By Hades, Wanda referred to the ancient god the Chaos Goddess had once battled—and ultimately defeated.
It was that very war that transformed her into the being she now was.
Wanda knew this because the [I Treat Myself] skill didn't just allow possession—it also shared memories.
Though what Wanda didn't know was that stronger variants, like the Chaos Goddess, had the ability to see her memories but could choose whether to share their own.
The Goddess had shared willingly. She was curious about this younger Wanda and wanted to guide her.
So Wanda had seen everything—how Chaos Goddess Wanda ascended from mortal to divine.
It all began with a vision—a nightmare, almost.
In it, Wanda saw countless beings suffering. Iron Man, Spider-Man, and others haunted by endless horrors. Even Captain America began to mutate grotesquely.
Then… Sithon, the god of the underworld and creator of the Darkhold, descended.
Wanda jolted awake.
She knew it wasn't a dream. It was a prophecy—a ripple from the future. And it had all started because the original Darkhold had been unearthed.
Determined to stop Sithon's coming, she and others ventured into another dimension. They tried to cut off the invasion before it reached Earth.
They failed.
In desperation, Wanda absorbed the Darkhold herself to save the world.
In that instant, the ancient chaotic power surged into her, washing over her like a cosmic tide. She was engulfed in chaos, standing at the origin of the universe—at the moment of creation itself.
Her body and soul were transformed. No longer human. No longer mutant.
She became the Goddess of Chaos.
Sithon, in comparison, was nothing. She defeated him easily, absorbed his power, and rose even further.
From that point on, she stood at the pinnacle of the Marvel Universe, a being whose power could challenge even the Five Great Cosmic Entities.
Yet in those memories, Wanda saw something else.
The Chaos Goddess hadn't done all this out of madness or lust for power. She had done it to save reality itself.
And that was why Wanda had never told Alex about the voice in her head.
"The God of the Underworld?" the Chaos Goddess echoed, amused. "Let me tell you—if your lover is truly who I think he is, then the enemies he faces are far more dangerous than Sithon. Some even surpass me."
"This world… it's so delightfully complicated. I'm glad I chose to possess you."
Her laughter echoed like a divine chime, full of chaotic joy.
Wanda's heart trembled.
"That's not possible!"
In her eyes, Sithon was the most terrifying being in existence. The idea that there were beings stronger—and that they were targeting Alex Ray, an ordinary man living in Hell's Kitchen—was incomprehensible.
"Nothing is impossible," the Chaos Goddess whispered. "Your little lover… he carries the aura of a rebellious being—someone named Alex Ray in this world, but in his past life, someone who defied cosmic order. That kind of soul draws attention."
"He's basically on the enemy list of every major god in the Marvel Universe."
Wanda's breath caught.
"Then… are you one of them?" It was the first question that came to her mind. And if the answer was yes—then she'd fight, no matter what it cost.
"Tsk. I'm nothing like those One-Above-All bootlickers."
"Then help me become stronger! Teach me! Sister!"
"You've seen my memories. You know the way. But it's dangerous. Even with my help, you might be consumed by the darkness."
"The Darkhold… I'm ready."
