Chapter 423 - Chapter 423: Hogwarts Preparation Stage and Titled God

"The Celestial Gods are just a bunch of outdated old guys."

Alex Ray didn't know much about the Celestial Gods.

If they hadn't started hunting him, he never would've bothered to dig into the history of the Celestial Clan.

After all, they were simply too powerful. Every time they appeared, it spelled planetary-level disaster. That kind of presence didn't exactly win them a fanbase—especially in his past life.

People tended to favor heroes like Captain America—mortals who rose to greatness through grit and conviction—rather than gods born with divine privilege and invincibility.

In the creation of every Celestial God, hundreds of millions of souls were required. Flesh, blood, and tens of thousands of years of evolution. That was the price of divinity.

Alex remembered reading theories online—conspiracy-level stuff—suggesting that the real reason Thanos wiped out half of all life wasn't out of twisted love for Death or balance.

It was to prevent the Celestials from being born.

In a sense, Thanos might've been trying to save the universe.

Because each time a Celestial God awakens, an entire planet is lost. Their numbers are limited, yes—but each one is catastrophic. Every god holds dominion over a single concept—an authority.

At present, Alex knew of over a thousand such beings. All answered to the will of Arishem, the Judge of Gods—second only to the One-Above-All (OAA).

Which meant Arishem commanded an army of god-tier and demigod-level beings, some older than time itself.

And at the peak of that divine hierarchy stood the One-Above-All, the God of All Things. His strength alone surpassed that of the thousand gods combined.

Try wrapping your head around that level of power.

Even within the Celestial Clan, the ranks weren't equal.

The Titled Gods held the highest status. Each possessed unique missions and powers, distinguished by their sacred names and legacies.

Judge Arishem, Searcher Ethan, Tester Zilan, Collector Jamion—these weren't just names. They were legends etched into the bones of the universe, synonymous with divine glory and apocalyptic power.

Not every god received a title.

Only true gods—those fully awakened and recognized—earned that distinction. Even someone like Loki, the God of Stories, stood as a true god, yet he wasn't necessarily stronger than a Titled One.

Their weakness was their specialization. Born into their roles, the Celestials lacked the versatility of ascended gods like Loki, who had clawed their way up.

Ironically, Alex had long known there was a god slumbering within Earth.

He'd intended to return and deal with it—but the endless pursuit from the Celestials had made that impossible.

Then Kingpin came to him with news.

A man named Kang wanted to meet.

To Alex's surprise, Kang was refreshingly transparent. He laid out his entire plan—no deception, no games. He even suggested infiltrating the Kang Dynasty as a double agent. His sincerity was… unnerving.

Alex was skeptical at first. That kind of trust didn't come easy in this life.

But as Kang continued to reveal the truth, the system Alex relied on confirmed their bond: friendship level, five stars.

Once that hit, the doubt started to fade.

At first, Alex opposed Kang's plan. He didn't want to watch a friend walk into danger.

But Kang was adamant.

So Alex handed over the Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, and when he found out Kang and Kingpin were developing the Golden Serum, he gave Kang a vial—and helped him take it using the Horse Talisman, completing his transformation.

After that, Alex let Kang do his thing. The man now had power few could rival, especially with the serum and the Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, on his side.

Alex did tell him, though, "If anything goes wrong—come to me."

As for what Kang was planning exactly? Alex didn't ask.

He trusted him. But he didn't expect much.

That's why the outcome surprised him.

Kang wasn't just playing defense—he was going after everything. Weakening the Kang Dynasty, undermining the Council of Reeds, and even offering Alex a trail leading to the final Infinity Stone.

Alex had assumed that after obtaining the Soul Stone, the system was complete. The Reality Stone had been filled in from the beginning, after all.

But the system had other ideas.

To unlock its final secret, all six Infinity Stones had to be gathered and in hand simultaneously.

Now that he had the clues, Alex figured it was almost time to head back to Hell's Kitchen.

And frankly, he was curious—how exactly was Kang going to pull all this off?

Oh, and apparently Hogwarts had finally been completed.

Alex had been away from Earth for almost half a year. The magical academy had been under construction when he left, and rumor had it, it was now standing.

He planned to visit—but quietly.

He needed to avoid detection from the Celestial Gods still hunting him.

"Hurry, hurry, hurry! It's been half a year and this place still isn't finished! Too slow!"

Magneto waved his hands, manipulating scattered nails and steel plates in the air. With surgical precision, they zipped into place, slotting perfectly into the structure like magnetic puzzle pieces.

An Omega-level mutant, Magneto was personally overseeing the academy's construction—a clear sign of his urgency.

But the castle's skeleton was already complete. Only the finer systems remained.

The construction crew were no ordinary laborers. These were magic-tech artisans, flying on enchanted brooms, wands in hand, guiding bricks and mortar through the air like dancers.

Magic flared in the sky, merging with advanced tech. It was breathtaking.

Cyclops stood nearby, optic blasts firing like laser welders—slicing stone, sealing joints, everything timed to perfection.

Wizards from Kamar-Taj chanted incantations, weaving protective enchantments into the foundation—defensive shields to guard Hogwarts from any magical or technological threats.

Despite Magneto's barking, Professor Charles Xavier remained calm. He stepped forward, gently placed a hand on his old friend's shoulder.

"Eric, I understand your urgency. But great undertakings need time. Look around—our people have been working day and night. Their effort speaks for itself."

And he was right.

Hogwarts wasn't the only thing being built. Diagon Alley, the entire wizarding world, was being reconstructed from scratch. And they couldn't afford to let ordinary people stumble into it.

With manpower stretched thin, building Hogwarts in just half a year was already a feat.

"But your sister's already established the Mutant Kingdom," Magneto snapped. "And we're still lagging behind! All the mutants are heading there! If we take any longer, how many will even care when Hogwarts finally opens?!"
