I slowly opened my eyes, my vision blurry at first. Then, when it cleared, I saw the roof of the cave. My eyes widened as I realized where I was. I quickly sat up and looked at myself... my legs and hand were back... completely.
But my shoes, socks, and the upper part of my right-hand shirt sleeve were gone... That means I did lose my limbs, So how?
"What is going on..." I said in confusion.
I looked forward, and my eyes widened in shock. I saw that same snake monster laying there, dead.
"Oh yeah, I..." I remembered when I threw the rock at it and it directly hit and exploded its eye.
I slowly stood up and looked at it. Then suddenly, a robotic-type female voice spoke in my mind.
> [/You successfully killed the Grim Snake.]
My eyes widened in surprise when the voice came out of nowhere. I fell on my back.
"Wh-what??? Who was that?"
Then it spoke again.

In my mind, a visual appeared where a magic circle-type image was shown. Inside that circle was written: 'Regeneration'.
I grew more confused and shocked by what was going on.
"Huh? Extraction? Skill?" I asked in confusion.

"What is going on?? And who are you?!" I asked.
The voice spoke again and replied

I stared in confusion and silence. The voice spoke again and replied.

I slowly closed my eyes, still trying to process things.
"I see... so are you like an AI system or something..." I asked in a small voice.

I slowly raised my right hand and looked at it.
"I remember my right arm and my legs were eaten by that snake... so how do I still have them?"

I closed my eyes and sat down, thinking.
"Yes... this is like those games and anime I've watched..."
I slowly opened my eyes in frustration.
"This is too much for me..."
Then my stomach suddenly made a sound. I was still hungry.
"Hey, Miss Skill... can you give me some food..."
> [/Negative. I cannot provide food or anything physical,] it replied.
I looked up with tired eyes and said:
"It looks like I'm not completely safe..."
I slowly stood up and said.
"I need to find a way out or at least find some food and water..."
I remembered how I drank the poison and almost died. Then suddenly the voice spoke and said:

My eyes widened in surprise, then I asked.
"What? Really? Where!?"

I looked there—and what I saw was... that dead snake laying there. I looked at it in disbelief and said.

My eyes widened in even more disbelief.
"What about the poison..." I asked softly.

I clenched my fists and, with a shaky voice, I said.
"Do I really have to eat that thing..."

I swallowed hard, then with a shaky voice, I said.
"F-fine... I'll do it... If it keeps me alive, then I'll do it..."
I slowly walked toward the corpse of the snake, then sat on my knees, looking at it. Then I slowly lowered my head and opened my mouth. I closed my eyes and... I took a strong bite and ripped off its skin and meat.
My eyes opened wide in disgust.
'It tastes bad... very bad!!' I screamed inside.
But I chewed it and swallowed it. I breathed heavily. I clenched my teeth and, with tears in my eyes, I screamed.
"Damn it!!"
Then I took another bite. Again. And again. I started eating it as fast as I could.
After a moment, I finished eating a huge chunk of the snake and lay there on the ground, looking up.
"Hey, Miss Skill... can I call you Will, since your name is Willer?"
> [/You can call me anything. I'm your skill, after all.]
"Alright then... Will, can I ask you a question?"
> [/Yes,] she replied.
"Can you detect monsters or demons if they're coming to attack me?"
> [/I cannot tell when or from where they are coming since I cannot see the future. But I can tell if there is any nearby by appraising the environment.]
"I see... that's still helpful."
I slowly stood up and said.
"I will get out of this place... I will not end up how that trash goddess thinks..."
I started walking forward.
"Since I have my Will with me... I don't need any damn blessings to survive."
Then I started walking toward the unknown.
