Chapter 52 - Chapter 52 – The Attack on Sea God Pavilion

"Big Sis Yue, isn't this... a bit too much?"

Yun Ming gave a wry smile. As the Pavilion Master of the Sea God Pavilion, he naturally understood the relationship between Long Yeyue and the Spirit Transferring Pagoda. Even after a hundred years, Long Yeyue was still absolutely unyielding toward the Pagoda.

The reason Yun Ming stopped Yali before was because she was his wife—he could stop her. But Long Yeyue was a senior. Would he dare stop her?

The answer was… no.

"What's so bad about it?" Long Yeyue's eyes widened. Yun Ming immediately shriveled under her gaze—he really didn't dare say anything to this revered "Big Sis Yue."

"Anyway, this old lady has lived for so many years already. It's not like I'll just quietly fade away, right? Think of this as the last thing I want to do for Shrek Academy!"

With those words, Yun Ming had no more room to argue. Since Long Yeyue had expressed it that way, how could he reject this elder's final wish?

In the end, the strongest person on the Douluo Continent could only sigh silently in his heart.

And since Big Sis Yue had already made her decision, Yun Ming naturally had to show some support. Of course, they couldn't lay a hand on Heita, so the one who'd suffer a bit would have to be Leng Yaozhu...

"Big Sis Yue, judging by the current situation, it's clear Heita is interested in the god position I created. So at least for the time being, I can keep her here for a while."

"But I'm not sure how long I can hold her interest. After all, Heita's talent... I really can't be certain."

After hearing Yun Ming's words, Long Yeyue's eyes sharpened. "So you're saying we don't have much time, huh? Then tomorrow, I'll go to the Spirit Transferring Pagoda myself—let's see who there dares to stop me!"

"So Yun Ming, that little girl Heita—you must keep an eye on her. Don't let her leave for now. And if possible... drop some hints to the male students in the Inner Court. See if anyone can win her over."

As soon as Long Yeyue said this, several people's eyes went wide.

"But Big Sis Yue, Heita is still so young. Isn't this... a bit inappropriate?" Yali's tone was full of surprise, but she was immediately shut down by Long Yeyue.

"What's wrong with being young? When this old lady was her age, the boys chasing after me formed a line that went out the academy gates!"

"And besides, isn't this for the good of Shrek Academy? It's good for us, and it's not bad for that child either, is it?"

"Heita staying at Shrek Academy is definitely better than staying with the Spirit Transferring Pagoda!"

This… truly was Shrek. Who would've thought that traditions from Tang San's era could still survive over 20,000 years later—and even show signs of continuing?

After they finished discussing Heita, Yali immediately brought up another issue.

"Other than that, there's one more matter... It concerns attacks by Evil Soul Masters..."

As soon as she said this, everyone present furrowed their brows. They all knew very well what Evil Soul Masters were.

"What happened? A large-scale attack?"

Long Yeyue had planned to rest for a bit, but when she heard Yali mention Evil Soul Masters, her attention was immediately piqued.

"Uh... you could call it a large-scale attack, I guess?" Yali held a report in her hand, but her expression looked a bit awkward, and she struggled to keep a straight face.

That kind of attitude made all the elders present surprised. After all, Yali was a top-tier Super Douluo. What kind of Evil Soul Master incident could throw her off like this?

"Well, it's like this. The Federation has indeed suffered numerous attacks recently. But these attacks... they weren't really 'real' attacks."

About a month ago, the Federation started receiving numerous warning notices of attacks. At first, they didn't take it seriously, thinking it was just someone playing a prank. But unexpectedly, one building that was under construction actually was attacked, and the Federation suffered unimaginable losses.

Although it happened at night, and there were no casualties, the incident still heightened the Federation's concern and prompted a thorough investigation to identify the culprit.

But the problem was… they couldn't find the culprit at all!

The Federation sent investigators, but in the end, they could only find a seemingly ordinary doll. Other than being able to talk and crack jokes, the doll had no special features. A huge amount of manpower and resources had been wasted—yet they gained nothing.

But just when the Federation was ready to close the case, more warning messages and explosions began occurring again, leaving the Federation with no time to breathe. In the end, they had no choice but to reach out to Shrek Academy for help.

"The reason we say it's an Evil Soul Master attack is only because the attacker claimed to be one. Whether it's true or not... nobody knows."

Yali couldn't help but feel speechless. What kind of person would do something so meaningless?

Just from reading the message, Yali could already tell—the person behind it definitely had no connection to any Evil Soul Master organization. Evil Soul Masters kill people. This... felt more like a prank by a mischievous child.

"Heh! Since when did the Federation become so useless? Can't even catch one little petty thief?" Long Yeyue openly mocked them. "Let them deal with their own small matters. We at Shrek Academy don't have time for such games!"

"Alright, alright," Yali sighed. She hadn't really planned to bring this up, but somehow that paper had ended up in her hand, so she just went with it...

Wait a second!

Yali's eyes suddenly widened—why was that paper in her hand?

"Hello, everyone! So this is the famous Sea God Pavilion of Shrek Academy, huh? What a humble little place!"

A girl's voice suddenly echoed through the Sea God Pavilion, immediately putting everyone—including Yun Ming—on high alert. Even he hadn't noticed when the voice's owner had entered the pavilion.

"Who's there?!"

Long Yeyue's face turned furious. She immediately reached toward the source of the voice, grabbing at it—but when she finally caught hold of it, everyone's expression changed.

"Could this be... the 'Evil Soul Master' that attacked the Federation?"

Yali had clearly mentioned a doll earlier—and the thing Long Yeyue now held in her hand was obviously also a doll. Yali nodded at everyone, confirming that it was indeed that doll.

"Who else but Lady Hanabi could pull this off?"

"I clearly heard it just now. You weren't planning to play games with Lady Hanabi? That makes me so sad… boo hoo, Lady Hanabi is heartbroken!"

"So, in order to make the Sea God Pavilion join in Lady Hanabi's game, I specially prepared a big present for all you folks at Shrek!"
