Chapter 326 - 327

**Chapter 327: The Great Homelander, Actually Being Trained Like a Dog**

Xia Shang smiled slightly and nodded gently.

As always, he was wearing a white suit. The ironed, snow-white fabric was spotless. Because it was custom-made, it fit Xia Shang's figure perfectly, neither too loose nor too tight.

"What brings you here this time? Is there something you need to do? Do you need my help?" Looking at Mr. Jervis, whose figure and appearance were both impeccable, Ashley Barrett couldn't help but rub her thighs together. Oh shit! Damn physical reaction! But then again, she felt that after not seeing him for a few days, he seemed to have become much more perfect, and his charm had also skyrocketed.

"There was some handover work that wasn't completed before. Is Stan Edgar in the company now?"

Although he felt Ashley Barrett's gaze was a bit strange, Xia Shang didn't think much of it. After all, ever since he joined Vought International, she had given him countless hints, both overt and subtle. Unfortunately, Xia Shang had absolutely no interest in Ashley Barrett, not only because her appearance didn't match his aesthetic but also because her ridiculously extensive sexual history was enough to make him steer clear.

Putting other things aside, the number of employees in Vought Tower alone who had had relations with Ashley Barrett was at least in the double digits. If you added those Xia Shang didn't know about, it would easily be heading towards four digits.

"Stan Edgar should be in his office now. I'll take you there."

Afterwards, Ashley Barrett took Xia Shang to the ninety-ninth floor of Vought Tower, which is the location of the Chief Executive Officer's Office.

"Thank you."

"Then I won't bother you. If anything comes up, call me. I'll do my best to satisfy whatever I can," Ashley Barrett said with an ambiguous tone.

"Your dark circles seem a bit heavy. Don't neglect your body for work. Remember to take good care of yourself; after all, your body is the capital for work."

"Is that so?" Ashley Barrett took out the mirror she carried with her, looked into it, and found that she was indeed quite haggard.

This was all due to too many things happening recently, coupled with Homelander being completely clueless about how to manage Vought, which resulted in many things being dumped on her shoulders. Compared to her previous workload, Ashley Barrett's current workload had increased by at least tenfold.

"Damn, the beauty card I spent tens of thousands of US dollars on... it seems I need to go several more times."

After Ashley Barrett left, Xia Shang looked towards the CEO's Office. His gaze passed through the wooden door and finally landed on Homelander.

He raised his right hand and gripped the doorknob, but did not push the door open.

"I really didn't expect the chair here would be so comfortable." In the office, Homelander raised a smug smile, sitting in the chair that originally belonged to Stan Edgar. He crossed his legs and satisfactorily patted the armrests on both sides of the chair.

"Don't worry, you're just on temporary leave now. But this sort of thing is especially easy to become permanent, isn't it?"

Homelander at this moment was like a little boy who had gotten a beloved toy; the joy on his face could not be hidden.

"Are you showing off to me?" Stan Edgar, who had been silent all along, suddenly turned and looked at Homelander.

"Hmm... I guess so."

Homelander pursed his lips, said "Hmm," and then said with a smile, "After all, I am the victor now, and showing off is the victor's privilege."

"Is that so? A guy who doesn't even dare to face his own Father, is he worthy of being called a victor?" Stan Edgar, with an indifferent expression, took out his glasses from his pocket and put them on. "As far as I know, last night, the person in charge of Vought Base called you several times. They originally thought they would wait for you to step in and stop Soldier Boy, but by the time Soldier Boy took Ryan out of the Base, you still didn't appear."

Stan Edgar's words made the smile on Homelander's face stiffen. "Don't find some incredibly stupid excuses to excuse yourself. As long as you wanted to, with your ability, you could have completely arrived at the Base within a dozen seconds. However, you didn't go. May I ask why?" Stan Edgar looked directly into Homelander's eyes and said with a cold tone, "Because of your fear, your unease, and your lack of confidence."

With every sentence spoken, Homelander's complexion worsened by three points. By the end, the smile on his face was completely gone.

"Soldier Boy was once Vought's signature Hero, and also the first generation Superhero. You grew up watching his Movies and deeds, so you know very well in your heart that you are nothing more than the second Soldier created by Vought."

"Shut up." Homelander's smugness from just now had disappeared without a trace. What replaced it was anger and annoyance after his facade was torn apart.

However, Stan Edgar still continued speaking to himself: "You want to kill him, and you are afraid that with your own ability you cannot get rid of Soldier Boy, so you hesitated."

"Enough." Homelander was like a raging lion; the bulging veins on his neck trembled and stood out. He looked at Stan Edgar. A moment later, a smile rose on his face again, only the smile carried a trace of ferocity. "I almost forgot, you are nothing now. Really, you can't even be considered pitiful. That you can stand in front of me and talk freely can only show that I am merciful enough."

"Are you angry?"

Stan Edgar slightly raised the corner of his mouth, revealing a smile.

Just as he still wanted to say something, a rapid phone ringtone suddenly rang out. Stan Edgar picked up his phone, looked at it, and then put it back into his pocket.

"Don't mind what I just said. Now the company is yours. I'm very curious, without me helping you clean up your mess, how long will it take for the world to see your ugly state? A week? A month? Or half a year? But I think it should be very soon."

After speaking, Stan Edgar slowly walked out of the office.

After Stan Edgar walked into the Elevator, the originally empty corridor faintly revealed a human-shaped outline.

"Come out, I know where you are."

Homelander heard Xia Shang's footsteps when he arrived, as well as the sounds of his heart beating and blood flowing. However, he did not see Xia Shang when he was invisible.

"Congratulations on your wish coming true, on snatching Vought International from Stan Edgar's hands." Xia Shang, dressed in a white suit, pushed open the door and walked into the office.

"Speak, what do you want from me?"

Homelander did not think that Mr. Jervis could hear the conversation between him and Stan Edgar.

"The dignified Homelander, actually being trained like a dog by someone... it really opened my eyes." Xia Shang waved his hand towards the water cup on the table, and it floated up out of thin air. After automatically filling with water, it floated in front of Xia Shang.

"You are not Mr. Jervis." Homelander remembered that Mr. Jervis's superpower was physical body modification, and not psychic power.

"Snap!"

Xia Shang smiled and snapped his fingers, switching to another face.

"You actually dare to come find me. You've got some nerve." When Homelander saw the Mysterious Person's face, the anger in his heart was instantly hard to suppress.
