"Is this guy really up to it? He doesn't look very reliable. If he can't do it, just let me handle it," the Tao Pai Pai sub-personality said sharply.
"I didn't come here to kill anyone. What would I need you for? Don't mess around," Raymond replied right away.
"Look at that freaky face of his. Are you sure he's okay?" Tao Pai Pai questioned again.
???
Raymond really wanted to ask him, "Do you even know what you're saying? When it comes to being a weirdo, you two are just as bad. Don't act like you're any better."
But saying that out loud would only hurt feelings, so he just said, "Yeah, they're just two small fries. Don't look down on him too much. Livebearer is no weakling. Just sit back and watch..."
While Raymond was talking with the Tao Pai Pai sub-personality, the Livebearer sub-personality had already started charging at the two men, laughing like a maniac.
This guy had always been into twisted fun. He could have finished the fight easily, but he just didn't want to.
"Wrist tendons—cut!"
'Raymond' dashed through the cave, laughing weirdly.
As soon as he said "Wrist tendons—cut", both men's hands went limp at the same time, and their guns fell to the ground.
"My hands—I can't move them anymore..."
"What the hell? What did you do to me?"
The two of them looked at 'Raymond' in fear when they realized their arms had suddenly gone weak.
They didn't even see what had happened.
It was like a gust of wind passed by, and then their arms just stopped working—they couldn't even hold onto their guns.
Realizing this crazy guy in red might not be normal, their first instinct was to run!
If they couldn't beat him with guns, what could they do now that they had no arms?
Run!
The two of them turned and started sprinting toward the exit of the cave.
"Ankle tendons—cut!"
But just as they lifted their feet, 'Raymond' laughed again.
This time, both of them fell flat on their faces.
They landed in different spots, but the feeling was the same—they couldn't even feel their legs anymore, let alone stand up.
They couldn't fight, and now they couldn't escape. They were truly hopeless.
But 'Raymond' seemed to be done playing. He twirled the watermelon knives in his hands and knocked both men out cold.
"Done!"
After dealing with the two of them, 'Raymond' walked straight toward Happy, who was tied to a pillar.
"Mister, I'm not with them. If you can get me out of here, I can..."
"Happy Hogan?"
"Huh?" Happy froze when he suddenly heard his name.
"Hehe, yes, I was sent by someone to rescue you. But it's not the right time to leave yet... You wouldn't want that arrogant guy from earlier to get spooked and run away too soon, would you?"
"You mean... you want to quietly tell Tony, then catch them all at once?" Happy asked carefully.
"Smart!"
'Raymond' gave a thumbs-up, then pulled out his phone, leaned close to Happy, made a V-sign with his fingers, and smiled cheerfully:
"Come on, I'll count to three, then shout 'Monkey' with me… One, two, three, Monkey!"
He looked at the selfie on his phone and nodded with satisfaction.
"What about those two?" Happy asked, glancing at the unconscious men on the ground.
"Don't worry, watch this—" After putting away his phone, 'Raymond' suddenly pulled out two long flexible tubes from who-knows-where and attached them to the back of his own head…
Attached them?
What the heck?!
Happy stared wide-eyed, completely confused. How could someone stick tubes into the back of their own head like that? Wouldn't that poke their brain?
What he didn't know was—he wasn't the only one stunned.
"What the hell?!"
Raymond was shocked!
Kuro was shocked!
John Constantine was shocked!
Tao Pai Pai was shocked!
Seven WTFs, seven times the shock!
Since Raymond had given all of them shared access to his body's senses, they could all clearly feel two tubes piercing into their brains.
WTF???!!!
What does it feel like to have two tubes shoved into your brain at the same time?
Before now, neither Raymond nor any of the sub-personalities could have described such a feeling.
Even Akainu, who had eaten a Logia-type Devil Fruit, had never had his brain stabbed like this while in a non-elemental state.
Even John Constantine, who always did reckless stuff, had never tried something this crazy.
But Livebearer just did it—and did it while everyone was sharing sensory input!
The sensation… let's not even talk about it. No one knew how he could do that and still be fine.
What really confused Raymond was—when did the back of his head grow two ports just like the real Livebearer's?
"Could it be that when I switch sub-personalities, not only do my body and powers become exactly like theirs, but even my physical structure changes to match their original body?" Raymond suddenly thought.
That seemed like the most likely explanation.
Otherwise, how else could two brain ports appear out of nowhere?
He hadn't noticed it before—probably because Kuro, Deadshot, Tao Pai Pai, and John Constantine were still biologically human.
Even if some tiny differences existed after transformation, they weren't obvious since the body still looked the same.
But Livebearer was different—he had physically modified his body, and those two ports at the back of his head were his own doing!
If he hadn't done this stunt, Raymond might never have noticed he now had the same setup.
Still, it was too late to stop him now. Even though having tubes shoved into your brain was a bizarre and disturbing feeling, there was no point in stopping him halfway.
Livebearer walked up to the two men with the other ends of the tubes in his hands.
Unlike the ends stuck in his own head, these ends looked like suction cups. He simply pressed them against the temples of the two unconscious men.
Almost immediately, both of them started smiling strangely, like they were enjoying some kind of service.
Inside Raymond's mind, watching all of this, he couldn't help but shut his imaginary eyes—even though he didn't have real eyes right now…
A few seconds later, the Livebearer personality pulled the tubes out and removed them from his own head as well.
"All done!"
He clapped his hands with pride, looking very pleased with himself.
But he didn't notice that not far away, Happy was staring at him with an absolutely horrified expression—
Way more terrified than he had ever looked at Killian.
