Maxi just sat down, looking at the stars for what felt like hours
But the peaceful silence was disturbed by the animal-like growling of Maxi's stomach
Maxi slowly turned his head towards Tengen
Blam!
Maxi's suitcase slamsed onto Maxi's chest
"What the hell?" Maxi exclaimed
Having the wind forcibly knocked out of him
Tengen said, "Your stomach asked for food, so I gave it food."
"My briefcase isn't-"
Maxi sighed, "Never mind."
Tengen grined and shrugged
Maxi then opened up his briefcase and rummaged and maneuvered through his clothes to find pieces of draped meat wrapped around in a packet
Maxi pulls it out as he zips back up his briefcase and pushes it to the side
Maxi took a bite of the dried meat
Maxi thought (tasty but not as tasty as biltong)
Maxi had traveled alot as since his father was a lawyer so as a teen he had the privilege of tasting various cuisines from other countries
one of those cuisines he had the luxury of tasting was from the country south Africa and it's biltong
Maxi looks at Tengen as Tengen plays with little red stars in his palm
Max asks, "Why did you go hunting us something to eat?"
Tengen smirks and said, "We got food right now, so there was no need. If we can hunt we shouldn't hunt if you must hunt, then you can hunt. That's what my old gramps used to say, anyway."
Maxi nods as he becomes more curious and asks, "So you went hunting a lot as a kid?"
Tengen nods, "Huh, I used to go all the time with gramps."
Maxi said, "But you said your grandpa said-"
Tengen nods, "Yep, that you only hunt when you need to hunt." Tengen chuckled, "That just begins to tell how poor I was as a kid."
Maxi watched as Tengen chuckled and thought (how can someone smirk or chuckle about that)
Maxi asked, "At least you had your grandpa to make it better."
Tengen laughed heartily. "The 1st hell no, that old bastard made me train in free time in the ways of survival, you think I wanted this ripped body? 2nd hell no, if I could have, I would live your life, but after I awakened my blessing, the old bastard left me."
Maxi felt a slight bit of something he could bearly believe he was even feeling
sympathy
Maxi asks, "So he just left you like that?"
Tengen's face tightens slightly as he moves his head from side to side, contemplating
"If you say it like that no infact old basted warned me not to because if I do i would stop being the grandson he knew just my old man stop being the son he knew but I didn't listen to him awakening my blessing would have opened up way too many doors for me so when I saw an opportunity I took it and the old man afterwards wouldn't even talk to me and refused any kind of help I gave him and then one day he left saying I had already changed too much and that he couldn't watch me change anymore so the old basted is probably out there in another forest somewhere or the old bastard age cout up to "
Maxi nods slowly, "Wow, that's deep."
"Don't get sentimental with me, kid.... I mean, young master Maxi" Tengen sighs in slight annoyance. "Just eat up, shut up, and go to sleep."
Tengen then through the little red stars up in the air as they all flew around and created a dome of red stars around Maxi's and Tengen's campsite site
Tengen slightly flicked his left arm now and again, making the red stars move in a synchronized pattern
Maxi sighs as he opens the briefcase and takes out his book that his mom gave him
Maxi skips past the pages he already wrote on, and he thinks of a new draft for a story he could write
Maxi thinks for a while
Several ideas go around his head
A story where a guy gets transmigrated into the body of a story's main villainous butler, whom she secretly likes but never confides to him, until it was too late
A story where a character is transformed into a system
A story where someone transmigrates into the body of the villain and actually completes the full story as the villain and wins in the end
A story about a histamine getting transmigrated into a Chinese cultivation world
Maxi's mind goes wild, and at the center of everything, transmigration is the main theme, and soon Maxi relaxes.
As he thought (Why do I keep on thinking of only transmigrations)
Maxi sighs as he Ponders
(Am I just trying to relate to someone? If that is the case, then I shouldn't just make them transmigrate. Maybe I should just make them like me, completely like a self-insert story, well, kind of self-insert insert are kinda bad, so maybe I will just make it a what-if story, like what if I was transmigrated into a different world.)
Maxi starts to write down his ideas
Then Maxi thinks of a big question he should answer in the story
(Who or what transmigrated him?) Maxi thought
Maxi sighs as he thought (Well, at least this means I will know who or what transmigrated him. I still have a long way until that answer for me is answered)
Maxi then thinks for a while
Will pondering maxi eyes then land on his side, where an explosion less white masks sits
"Hmmmm"
"Shut up," Tengen said as he seemed to snap out slightly out of his lucid state, looking at his moving red stars, which seemed to be putting him in
Maxi said "sorry"
Maxi then takes the mask and holds it up, as it seems to absorb the red stars it is covering
Maxi puck his lips in thought
he then tried to imagined the mask in various cool ways
But what he ended up with was the mask only being worn by a person, a random creator and even, a... tree?
It looked odd overall, so Maxi tried imagining it as one part of a giant monster
or
the centerpiece of something suggesting more at hand
Then, amongst Maxi's thoughts, his mind went back to the idea of his mask being worn by things which reminded Maxi of another kind of transmigration or another similar trope in fictional stories
(Reincarnation) Maxi thought
(I mean, why would a god of reincarnation transmigrate me, I mean, the MC, instead of reincarnating him? I guess he could be trying to obtain the power of transmigration. Wait, and what if, while he or it was testing out the power of transmigration, he accidentally transmigrated me, I mean, the MC, into that other world? Wait, that actually works.)
Maxi then starts writing down ideas, and as he finishes writing down the final ideas in his mind
he yawned
Telling him it's about time he goes to bed
So Maxi closes his book and puts it back in his suitcase. As Maxi falls asleep, he looks at the exceptionless white mask one last time
Maxi then said, "I guess you're not that dumb looking."
Then, as Maxi fell asleep, he could swear that everything was so slightly like Colen, the mask smiled
