"What do you mean by 'since when'?" Aylin said to Caius, "Since forever. Since the first Alchemy class in our first week of school."
Caius's brows were furrowed.
"Huh," was all he could think to say.
What could have caused the change from the original story's canon? He wondered.
"You know I've been to her office. Talked in person," Aylin said then with tiny twinkles in her icy blue eyes, "She says I have talent."
"You've been to her office?" Caius asked. He had spent so much time with Arlette in her office that he found it almost difficult to see how he would not have noticed those visits.
Aylin nodded.
"I have," she said.
"When was this?" Caius asked.
"First time was two weeks ago," Aylin said, "We just finished Alchemy Class and Professor Gilligan sent her bird to you to deliver a message- I recognized the thing earlier today during Study of Magical Beasts class.
