Chapter 15 - The End Of The Beginning

At long last, Castiel had found the Zodiacs—or what remained of them.

But fate is cruel, and this was no conclusion. It was only the end of the beginning.

The world still chokes on evil. Legion's fragments reign unchecked. And Yang—the ultimate force of destruction—stirs with each passing day. The universe's unraveling has only just begun.

Velarion

Time coursed within Velarion's sacred walls.

Colt had tamed the fire within him—his Pyra essence now danced at his fingertips like an obedient beast. He no longer feared the blaze; he wielded it.

But the true marvel of Velarion was not Colt.

It was Zera.

A girl once broken by the mines of Blightvale now stood on the edge of godhood.

She had awakened not one—but two Karnitheric abilities.

Chimera.

Occultum.

She could shift her body into savage hybrids, grow wings, claws, or fur. Or become someone else entirely—stealing a face, a voice, a memory. Yet her Occultum remained unmastered, for it defied laws, defied logic. It was the power of paradox—of impossible truth.

No mortal was meant to bear more than one Karnithesis. The strain should have shattered her. Her flesh should have torn. Her mind, collapsed.

But Zera endured.

Velarion had become more than a refuge. It was now a fortress—guarded by beings who neared the level of Eidolon Masters. But not all Karnitheric energy gathered under Castiel's watch.

Elsewhere

On the far edge of the earth, where demon ash paints the wind black, a jade warrior walks alone.

She slays without mercy. Hunts without pause. Her blade never rusts, her heart never falters.

A sheathed sword with a jade hilt rests on her back. Her eyes, brilliant green—like cursed gemstones. Her physique, hardened by blood and vengeance. Her spirit, unbending.

A gyaru in look, but not in soul.

Hell does not yet know her name.

But soon, it will.
