The little goblin girl peeked out from her mother's chest, eyes wet, though they seemed to have no life in them, staring at the two kneeling hobgoblins.
The little girl hesitated… then, slowly, let go of her mother's dress and crawled forward on her knees. She stopped just in front of Thristle and Vegia. Her tiny hand reached out, trembling, and touched Thristle's and Vegia's hair.
"You're warm..." She finally whispered, testing as if she were real.
Thistle broke down. Tears spilled as she pressed her forehead harder to the dirt. Vegia, too, her shoulders shaking.
The mother, hearing her daughter's voice, broke down in tears, hugging her tightly against her breast.
"I... I don't forgive Chugh. But… maybe I can forgive the ones who chose to kneel with us instead of standing above us."
People in the crowd started murdering.
"My son told me about Hoblins helping our army."
"Yeah... My son told me too."
