Year 2138
In a changing room located inside a pristine restaurant multiple people can be seen changing from their workplace uniform into their casual clothing.
"Man what a day, can't wait to get home and get some sleep" a man in his late 40 complain.
"Can't blame you there, today is a holiday so the restaurant is packed with those upper class people, I did see some beauty among them, do you think I have a chance to get her number if I asked her?" another man in his late 20s said with a smirk as he put on some perfume.
"With a waitress salary HAH? Keep on dreaming Yori, you'll be lucky if she just said no, those upper classfolk would have killed you if you talked to them like equal" The old man bark with a laugh.
"Aww come on man let me dream a little, and don't you tell me about those high rank shit ken, didn't you marry an upper class girl?" Yori said with a huff and envious look towards ken.
"Yeah that's because she wasn't really ' Valued' In her family, so they didn't really care about her, and it's because they investigated my life and found out about my connection, so they allowed me to marry her" Ken said with a somber expression "but it was worth it, she's the love of my life and the only thing that keep me going" As he closed his locker with a small smile.
"How lucky"
As those two keep on talking, a person opens the door and enters the room, the two stop talking and look over and see a young man in his early 20s walk in looking drained and tired.
"Oi Aki, how's your first 12 hour shift in this beautiful, extravagant, elegant establishment" Yori said with an exaggerate tone and hand movement, ken can only sigh at his co worker.

Aki who just entered with a sigh "it's something alright, I keep getting something wrong, if only today was a normal day and not a holiday maybe I wouldn't mess up too many times" He complains as he walks to his locker and open it "well at least everyone is kind to me and keep teaching me" As he take of his uniform and puts it aside.
Both men look at each other and laugh a little "well that's just how it is with holidays you just have to get used to it" Ken said as he pat Aki's shoulder, and Aki can only nod.
"Everyone is nice to you is because your mother was the previous head chef, and she's probably the best one I have ever seen" Yori said while he put on his shoes and stood up "well I have only been working in this restaurant so I don't really know other head chef" he said with a shrug.
Aki chuckled "yeah mom was a really great chef" A small smile etched on his face.
"Any how do you have any plans after this, I'm going to a karaoke with my friends, wanna join" Yori offers while putting on his jacket.
"No thanks I'm going straight home, today is Yggdrasil last day before shut down so I wanna be there" Aki decline the offer as he put on his shirt.
"Aww yeah today's the game final day, how about you ken wanna hang out and mingle with the youngster" He offers to the older man with a smirk and waggle his eyebrow.
The old man just sighs "no thanks, my wife is waiting for me" He get up and walk to the exit.
Yori pouts "no fun" He mutters, he gets up and walks past Aki and Pat him "welp I'll be going, see you on the next shift chef" He said the chef with a little playful tone.
"Yeah see you" He sigh and close his locker and put on his earbuds and scroll down his phone and pick a song.

Aki walks out of the restaurant with his jacket on looking up at the polluted black sky.
To hold the honeysuckle rose as she lies down

He walks with his mask to prevent the polluted air from entering his lung, he walks and looks around him, people walking tired from overworking at their job and some already collapsed on the street not knowing if they are dead or alive, just another day.

As he continues his walk Aki saw some children laying on the sidewalk with nothing but a cardboard box, he knows he can't do much other than giving them some changes, when he throws some changes into their can they smiled and thank him.

He knows a friend from Yggdrasil who worked at an orphanage, Emma was her name, she had told him about how overpopulated the orphanage she worked on and not enough money can feed them all, he did donate some from his paycheck to help them even a little, after a while he arrives at a station and board a train

While on the train he texted her and other if they'll be on for Yggdrasil final hour, after a couple of minutes he gets a text back from a couple of them, most of them were either too busy or tired, while emma said that she can't because she's taking more shifts at her job for extra money for the orphanage, he can only sigh at his friends circumstances.
After a while the train stops at his destination and he steps out with the other passengers.

As he took off his shoes and turned on the light, he walked inside the living room and looked to the side, he smiled and walked to his mother's memorial displays .

Aki put his hand together and closed his eyes to pray "hey mom I'm home" he open his eyes and smile "sorry I'm a little late, today was quite busy at the restaurant, I made a lot of mistakes but everyone there was nice and teach me lot, head chef Leon was quite scary but he was nice, I hope you're doing alright up there." He finished his prayers and look to the side, another memorial for his beloved cat Abby, he offers some prayers saying that he hope Abby can get all the food he wants up there.
After cleaning the house a little, he cooked himself some dinner and ate it alone while watching some show, after eating and cleaning the dishes he went to his room and took a shower.
Coming out of the shower Aki immediately put on some comfortable clothes and went to his vr set, he sat down and put on the vr helmet and immediately went in and closed his eyes.
After a minute he opens his eyes, he looks around him, a bustling city with npc all around him, he checks his equipment, gloves tighten it up, he looks at his character River in the mirror.

"Damn I'm good looking" he smiles and walks around the city to admire it one last time.
This city was neutral save zone for everyone both human and heteromorphic, as Aki or Rover walks around he met some player, they say hi he say hi back, he found some old friends and talk a little and his friends bid goodbye since he needs to go to his guild, while others player has guild Rover never entered one he always play nomad with some of his close friends like emma and a few.
After going around the city, and the countdown is near it's end, Rover went into a secret place only those who are close to him, on top of a hill sat alone a single tree, as he walk up he was surprised seeing another person at the top praying at the stone memorials, he smile and stood beside the person in silence letting him finished his prayers.
After a couple of moment "how long have you been here jiyan" Rover decided to ask.

Jiyan opens his eyes "not too long, just saying my goodbye to everyone" He looks up ahead multiple stone grave line around the tree. "How about you? " He asked.
Rover chuckled "just got off work and decided to visit" He walked past and went to one of the stone graves, he kneel down and put a banquet of his personal Blake bloom flower.

Rover chuckled at the image attached to the graves information, she was just so silly, so stupid, so lovely, the first person that he fell for. They meet each other at level 1 and decide to team up. He had a lot of memories with her, their first meeting, first battle, first divine loot. After playing for a while he had a feeling for her but didn't want to ruin their friendship over it but after a while and being encouraged by his friends he finally confessed.
After that she became more clingy and more easily jealous, but at the same time she became a tsundere, and he always teased her when she get jealous.
After giving his prayers he stood up and looked at the other graves, his friends who he miss, he can only smile at all of their adventures.
"Do your think they'll make a second game? " He asked.
Jiyan was silence for a minute "no I doubt they'll make a Yggdrasil 2" Jiyan shakes his head. "I did talk to some of the devs, most of them agreed that Yggdrasil was able to last this long was because of the community, but alas the revenue wasn't enough to keep it going" Jiyan can only sigh.
Rover sigh "Well that sucks, I always like Yggdrasil even though it's kinda pay 2 win now" Rover kick some rocks with some annoyances.
Jiyan could only shake his head "well it wasn't just because of that, I heard from one of the dev that some players have been making copyrighted books from the real world into Yggdrasil, they spread it around for people to study about stuff that isn't included in the education system and only reserve to the higher up" He look ahead to one of the grave "it's illegal to make and distributed those books, some got banned and some got captured and punished by the corporate"
Rover didn't know what to say, he was quite privileged to get more education than others, thanks to his parents, mostly his mother who has provided everything for him, but that makes him wonder who his father was, he did ask his mother a couple time but his mother always try to change the subject about his father, he stopped asking since it made her uncomfortable, so it's still a mystery.
Rover shakes his head to snap himself out of his daydream "Well there are other games, what do you think wanna try them with the other after this end?" Rover asked jiyan with some excitement.
Jiyan was about to accept but then remember something "ah i would love to but, I gotta go after this, I just got a job offer that pays good, and I need the money since taoqi and I are expecting a baby soon, so I'm going to be more focused on them rather than playing games" Jiyan said while scratching the backside of his head.
Rover's eyes widen."woah I didn't know both of you are already expecting a baby, Congrats" He pated his friend's back, jiyan could only laugh a little from Rover reaction.
Both of them sit under the tree, and talk a bit about their life and remembering some past adventures, reminiscing the days where they had the most fun.
After some more talking jiyan stood "Well I already spent too much time in here, I'm going to log out and prepare myself for the interview, what about you" Jiyan asked and offer him a hand.
Rover smiles at him and takes his hand to stand up "I'm just gonna wait till the games end, I kinda want to see how things are when they are being shut down"
Jiyan nod "alright then, remember to stay in contact with me, maybe when I have some down time I'll play a little with everyone, say hi to them for me will ya Lord arbiter" He said with a tease as he walk past Rover.
Rover could only cover his face with one hand "can you stop calling me that, it's just embarrassing" running his hand through his hair and scratching it with some annoyances.
Jiyan let out a laugh "no can do Lord arbiter, me and taoqi wouldn't be together without your help, see ya later" He continues to laugh while waving his hand and disappearing.
Rover sigh "yeah see ya later general".
As time went by some of his friends came and chatted with him, some only able to say their hi and goodbye to their fallen friends, some of them gave something to Rover, saying that they always wanted to give to him but couldn't because they didn't have the time to hop on the game, Rover accepted them without issues even though the game is about to end, he appreciate the though and time they put into these items, and he will cherish it forever.

Rover look at the time and it's the last minute of Yggdrasil, the game where he found friends, memories that can never be replaced, and experience that can only happened once.
"I guess this is it huh, the finished line, I had some regrets not doing in this game but maybe I'll do it on a different game."
Rover stood up looking at the beautiful night sky "I'll never forget this game" He spread his arm waiting.

As the story has ended, Rover expected to be kicked out of the game and came back to the real world, but fate has decided to start something.
"Hmm?" Rover raises his eyebrow in confusion. As he opened his eyes, instead of seeing his room Rover was staring at the ground, and it was dirt "huh" Rover exclaimed as he straightened up and looked around, instead of his room he was somewhere surrounded by trees. He panicked and opened his menu tab looking for the quit button but there were none, "alright no need to panic, I'll just contact an admin" He told himself as a way to stay calm.
Rover tried to contact an admin or anyone else via the menu, but to his vain it doesn't exist anymore.
Rover began to panic and walk backwards while holding his head "okay what the hell is going on" In his panic while walking backwards he didn't notice that there was a stream behind him.
As he continued to walk backwards he stumbled over a rock and fell onto the stream "ack" *splash* he fell soaking himself in the stream.
Upon feeling the water he opened his eyes and looked down "water?" He pulls his hand up and feels the water run down his arms "Holy shit" He stood up still wet "AM I IN ANOTHER WORLD WHAT THE FUCK" He scream to the sky making birds near by flew away.
While his story in Yggdrasil has indeed concluded, a new one has begun in this new world.

Hello hello my trashy fanfic reader it is your favorite trashy author who has gone missing for almost a year I think, I decided to rewrite the story, why? Well because I forgot about it, you guys can blame it on my uni life and my procrastinating ass, I keep getting ideas but never wrote them so I apologize for it (I'll probably do it again but who knows maybe I'm changed hah)
Anyway yeah this is the beginning of akioshi or Rover in the new world, and I have to remind you this is an AU, no nazarik or ainz.
I just want to create a slice of life adventure fanfic, I don't know about romance though, should I make it a harem or a non harem, I did gave him a dead girlfriend as cipher (i really love her man she's just the best cat girl Aaahhgg) maybe she'll be in the new world without her past memories or with her past memories who know, I'll decide later I'm still split about the harem or no harem because I really like some of the girl in overlord.
Anyway that's it for today's chapter I guess,I'll try not to be lazy this year. Bye bye
