Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Just like the newly added entries.

Nami and Nojiko had been working hard recently, openly stating it was for the person they liked, which made Bellemere's head ache.

Jon, filled with righteous indignation, echoed Bellemere's curses. What a scumbag! Deceiving the feelings of little girls was worse than pigs and dogs!

He then secretly found his two adopted sisters, telling them to relax more often, which finally made Bellemere's expression soften.

However, after continuous experiments, Jon finally thoroughly understood what entries were.

1. Each person's entries are not fixed; new ones can be added, except for talent and fate-type entries.

2. To plunder an entry, the target must be unconscious, either dead or comatose.

3. After plundering an entry, the target no longer possesses the entry's ability.

4. Besides normal entries, there are also "Rifan" (Adult/Hentai) entries.

There were many other conclusions, but these points generally covered it.

However, this also made Jon quite sad. The third point completely restricted him; he couldn't act against those around him.

If "plunder" could be changed to "copy"…

He couldn't even imagine how strong he would become.

He wouldn't even need to form a team; he alone could rival an entire pirate crew!

"What are you thinking about?"

Bellemere reached out and ruffled Jon's hair. "Change your clothes and eat quickly. Aren't you hungry after a day of work?"

Indeed.

Of all things, eating was the most important.

......

With Jon's "Itadakimasu," the empty plates on the table gradually piled up into a small mountain.

Even in the exaggerated world of pirates, his appetite was astonishing.

But his family at the table had long been accustomed to it.

Roughly since Jon was adopted, the amount of food at home had to increase tenfold, and correspondingly, Jon's height began to shoot up.

He broke through 1.8 meters at fourteen, but Jon was still not satisfied.

In the inhumane pirate world, at least two meters was considered qualified.

—Otherwise, would he still have to look up at Robin and Hancock?

Bellemere rested her slender hand on her cheek, watching Jon devour his food with a smile.

She wondered what great deeds she had done in her past life to meet such a treasure boy like Jon.

Mature and obedient, steady and reliable.

At such a young age, he could help her share the family burden, and with his help, the family's income had soared several times over.

Bellemere had carefully calculated while keeping accounts: Jon could harvest the entire tangerine grove in three days, and a month's work from him was equivalent to her entire year's work.

Thanks to his efforts, the family's savings had already exceeded 500, 000 Berries!

Sniffle She couldn't have imagined becoming a millionaire when she wasn't a Marine!

This child was simply her precious treasure!

"Bellemere, where's today's newspaper?"

Jon's voice broke Bellemere's reverie. She got up and handed him the newspaper from the table.

"Here you go, here you go." Bellemere complained, "I don't know why you want to read the newspaper every day. Recently, newspapers have started to go up in price. One costs 60 Berries. When I was a Marine, it was only 40 Berries. Inflation is really serious…"

She felt pained by the daily cost of the newspaper and didn't understand why her adopted son paid attention to major events outside.

After all, things on the sea were very far from their village.

Jon was used to her nagging; it usually went in one ear and out the other. He opened the newspaper and began to scan it.

Before long, Jon finally saw the news he had been waiting for.

"Major Event: Jinbe, Captain of the Sun Pirates, Becomes the New Warlord of the Sea!"

Jon stared at the accompanying picture below the news. The blue fat man in wooden clogs had a calm expression, but in Jon's sight, he was an eyesore!

His hand gripping the newspaper tightened silently, tearing a corner without realizing it.

"It's coming…" His voice was uncharacteristically low.

"Hm? Who's coming?" Bellemere looked at him puzzled.

"A scumbag."

Jon didn't say much, quickly finishing today's newspaper.

He got up and looked at the rain that had stopped outside. He ruffled Nami and Nojiko's heads, then smiled at Bellemere.

"The neighbors said their dog is missing. I'm going to help them find it. You two can rest tonight; don't wait for me."

With that, he stepped out, leaving a figure that gradually faded away outside the window.

"Brother Jon went off to play by himself again, how sly…"

Nami chewed on her soft bread, puffing out her cheeks. Nojiko, beside her, habitually teased her.

Only Bellemere lowered her gaze in thought, wondering what she was thinking.

She was a beautiful idiot with a not-so-sharp mind, but her intuition was very keen.

She could vaguely sense that Jon was hiding something from her.

She remembered the day she first adopted him and celebrated his birthday. After he woke up, he suddenly asked them to move, saying there was danger.

Bellemere hadn't paid much attention at the time, thinking Jon had just had a nightmare, and she had comforted him for several days.

But it was from then on that the naughty little boy who loved climbing walls changed.

His personality became steadier day by day, and now he had become the backbone of the family.

Bellemere had always thought Jon had matured with age, but judging by his reaction today…

It didn't seem that simple.

After a long silence, she borrowed a Den Den Mushi from Genzo and dialed a long-unfamiliar number.

The burst of laughter from the other end made Bellemere's face darken.

"Predict the future? And Observation Haki? Do you think your son is a monster from the New World? Hahaha, you…"

Bellemere: "…"

She hung up. To hell with you!
