Chapter 5 - Towards a new life

Two and a Half Hours Later

Interesting, I wonder if she's still sleeping?

"Bahora, I'm here. Bahora, where are you?"

"Nurse, have you seen my partner?"

"Yes, a young man came and took her outside."

"Thank you. Where could they have gone?"

"Ah, I found them. Bahora! Did he hit you?"

"Hey, who are you to be hitting Bahora?"

"And who are you? Stay out of this; it's a matter between lovers."

"Lovers? You're Karim, right?"

"Yes, so what? Who are you? Her friend who hangs around for her money?"

"Bahora, I'm sorry, but I didn't expect your taste to be this poor."

"What did you say? Ahhhh."

"Be quiet. I'm not talking to you."

"Please, stop it. Asilzoda, let's leave this place."

"Bahora, you may leave silently now, but next time you won't be able to. You'll have to answer for everything."

"Bahora, can you wait here for a moment?"

"Yes."

"I'll be right back. Hey, kid, repeat what you just said."

"Asilzoda, what did you do to him? Did you kill him?"

"No. He just lost consciousness. Hey, wake up. This isn't justice; I've only hit you once. I'm not done yet. Open your eyes."

"Are you sure he's not dead?"

"No. What should I do with him now? Ah, I got it."

"Hahaha, did you hang him on a tree?"

"Yes, I think this place suits him. Let's go."

"Asilzoda, can I ask you something? Please, tell me the truth."

"Okay."

"Did you become friends with me for my money?"

"No. Your father just hired me."

"I'm supposed to help and protect you, like a bodyguard, but it's not really a job. It's more like freedom. And now, I'm happy to be your friend."

"Ah, now I understand why you didn't refuse."

"Yes, you saw my relationship with my family. I couldn't refuse your father's offer."

"Thank you for telling the truth and for protecting me."

"Don't mention it; it's nothing."

"But hitting him was great, hahaha."

"Have you always been this strong?"

"Yes. I've done everything to please my parents. I do sports, study, and know many languages."

"That's amazing. How many languages do you know?"

"Hmm, I think around six."

"That's great. It's dinner time; let's eat."

"Okay."

"I wanted to ask you something else. May I?"

"Yes, go ahead."

"When will they give you an answer? I think in five days. What about you?"

"I can leave in two days."

"That's great."

"What will you do after leaving here? Will you go home?"

"No. I don't want to see my unpleasant brother and younger brother every day."

"Then come live with me at my house."

"Anyway, you have to protect me, right?"

"Thank you for the offer. Won't I be a burden to you and your family?"

"No. They'll be leaving in a week. My parents for work, and my brother for studies. I don't want to be alone."

"I see. Okay, I'll live at your house."

"Thank you for agreeing."

"Why are you thanking me? I should be thanking you. You're giving me a job and a place to live."

"You know, Asilzoda, when I first saw you, you seemed scary and evil. I was even afraid to talk to you, but you're actually a kind girl."

"Stop it; you're making me shy, hahaha."

"It's getting late; we should sleep now."

"Good night, Asilzoda. Sweet dreams."

"Good night to you too. I think she's recovering well. Why did such a young girl have to face so many trials in life?"

"Ahhh, no, please don't. I'm begging you."

"Is she having a nightmare?"

"Bahora, calm down. It's me, Asilzoda. I'm here. Calm down. She's probably seeing that scoundrel in her dream. We need to resolve this."

The Next Day at 7 AM

"Hmm, is it morning already? Hmm, where's Asilzoda? Did she leave early?"

"What's that noise? Is someone arguing?"

"Okay, doctor, I won't do it again. I'm sorry. Please forgive me."

"Oh, Bahora, you're awake. Good morning."

"Good morning. Why is the doctor scolding you?"

"Ah, the reason? I couldn't sleep and took a little walk outside at night. That's why."

"I see."

Two Days Later

Bahora was discharged from the hospital, and Asilzoda saw her off. Asilzoda still needed some treatment, but it wasn't really treatment. She stayed in the hospital for three more days. During those three days, her brother and younger brother visited her. They argued there. Asilzoda couldn't bear to see them. Despite the quarrels, her parents didn't support her. They blamed her for everything. So, Asilzoda told them about meeting Bahora, working with her, and living at her house. She explained that she wouldn't return home and asked them to leave quickly and not bother her anymore. They didn't say anything and left silently. Her brother and younger brother seemed pleased, smiling. After they left, she cried. She cried silently for four hours.

Asilzoda tried to pull herself together. A few hours later, Bahora was supposed to come. She tried not to show her tears to Bahora. Bahora came to pick her up. Bahora was very happy, like a child jumping with joy.

They went home. That evening, they celebrated. These two girls were starting a new life.

Days passed quickly. It was time for Bahora's family to leave. They went to see them off.

"Bahora, will everything be okay?"

"Yes, Mom, don't worry about me. I won't do such foolish things anymore; I promise."

"We trust you, dear. Asilzoda, we're entrusting our daughter to you."

"Don't worry. I'll take care of her."

"Mom, Dad, why are you saying goodbye with tears as if you won't return? If you keep crying, you'll miss your flight. Come on, go now. Goodbye, we'll miss you."

And finally, they left.

"Yes, we've seen them off."

"It's getting late. Where should we have dinner? Or should we order home delivery?"

"Why? You have a skilled chef right next to you."

"What? You can cook?"

"Yes, of course. I learned it once."

"Then let's go home. What will you cook for me?"

"First, let's get home."

They went home. As soon as they arrived, Asilzoda went to the kitchen and cooked for Bahora.

"Wow, what's this? It looks so beautiful. This is a real work of art; I'm afraid to eat it."

"Don't be afraid; eat up. I didn't put poison in it. Enjoy your meal."

"Wow, it looks great, and it tastes even better."

"I'm glad you liked it."

They started living like that. One day:

"Asilzodaaaaaa!"

"Yes, what is it?"

"I'm bored sitting at home. Let's go out for a walk. Please."

"Don't look at me with such gentle eyes. If you're bored, you can go for a walk, but I don't feel like going out."

"Please, please, please."

"No."

"We also need to buy groceries; we're running out of food."

"Hmm. Okay, you convinced me. We'll go out tomorrow."

"Yay, we're going out! Amazing. Hehehe."

"Stop laughing like that; it's scary. Instead, go to sleep; we'll get up early tomorrow."

"Okay."

---What do you think awaits the curious girls tomorrow?
