Chapter 11 - The Great Tribal Hunt Begins

"Am, don't be too excited. You will get stronger in the future." Mu Bei said confidently.

"Silly boy, do you know that there hasn't been a reserve soldier in the tribe who weighs over 3,000 kilograms in many years?" Sang said.

"My little sister is almost breaking through 3,000 kilograms of strength." Mu Bei said with a smile.

"What little girl is about to weigh 3,000 kilograms? Why have I never heard her say that? How many things are you hiding from me?" Sang exclaimed.

"You guys don't like my little sister working out, so she kept it a secret from you."

Sang said happily: "I have always thought that she was just curious and wanted to give it a try, and I never thought of letting her become a totem warrior. A woman will eventually give birth to offspring. I didn't expect that the little girl would bring me such a big surprise today."

"Will there be any difference when Amu breaks through 3,000 jin?" Sang asked in confusion, "Don't you know?" Mu Bei smiled bitterly and said, "Father didn't tell me what would happen when I break through 3,000 jin."

Sang said angrily, "Your father is busy with the hunting team all day long. He didn't even tell you common sense. If you break through 3,000 jin, you will have the opportunity to break through to another level. Also, when you awaken, you will most likely get totem combat skills."

Mu Bei was confused. His father didn't tell me about such an important matter. He was so irresponsible. Sang saw that Mu Bei's face was not normal and said, "Your father may think you know or really forgot."

Sang changed the subject and said, "Also, he is too irresponsible." Mu Bei smiled bitterly and said, "I guess my father was so busy with management every day that the hunting team forgot to tell me."

"You have now entered the threshold of a totem warrior. Talk to Am about your next plan."

Mu Bei said seriously: "Keep working towards a higher power, and strive to become a totem warrior with even greater power."

Sang said seriously: "You have thought it through very well. The stronger you become as a totem warrior, the better it will be for you."

Mubei was very curious, how could Am, an ordinary tribal woman, know so much.

Sang looked at Mu Bei and said, "Are you curious about how Amu knows so much about the totem warriors? Your grandfather was the previous leader and the strongest totem warrior in the tribe."

Mu Bei was confused. No one had ever told him this. "I, your mother, also dreamed of becoming a totem warrior. Otherwise, why would my family ignore my little girl every time she secretly exercises?" Mu Bei finally understood why his family didn't support his little sister's exercise, but they didn't oppose her either.

Mu Bei wanted to ask more. "Go and call your little sister back for dinner. You need to call her every time it's dinner time." Sang said.

Time flies, half a year has passed quickly, this winter the tribe is preparing for a big hunt, all hunters are ready, waiting for the witch to appear and bless this hunt. Mu Bei also joined the hunting team, although he has not yet become a totem warrior, but his strength has reached the standard of a totem warrior, this time it was specially approved by the witch, of course, it was Mu Bei who asked the witch.

The witch walked to the front of the crowd and began to chant a spell. An invisible energy appeared in the void and quickly merged into the bodies of all the hunting team members.

The leader shouted, "Wind." Everyone shouted together, "Wind, wind, wind." This collective power made people's hearts surge, and a sense of courage and honor instantly filled their bodies.

This time, the leader led the team himself. Two hunting teams totaling more than 60 people headed into the forest at the same time. Mu Bei walked in the middle, with a high-level totem warrior in front, a primary totem warrior in the middle, and the leader and another high-level totem warrior in the back. More than 60 people walked in the jungle without making any sound. This was a skill acquired from living on the edge of danger for many years.

The destination this time is the plain 300 miles west of Lutai Mountain, which is also the tribe's hunting ground every winter. If you run in a straight line, it won't take half a day for a totem warrior to reach the destination, but in the jungle, it will take four or five days to reach the destination. If there is a problem on the road, it will be delayed even longer. The hunting target this time is the one-eyed blue cattle herd of primary-level fierce beasts, which is also an important source of beast cores for the tribe.

The leader quickly came to the front, observed and said, "We'll have dinner tonight." Soon, the four totem warriors circled behind the beast. Mu Bei also came to observe. Two fanged gray wolves were snatching food in front. The leader waved his hand again, and more than a dozen people came out and dispersed around.

"It seems that there are more than just these two fanged gray wolves. There should be a pack of wolves around." Mu Bei thought to himself.

Soon, there was a sign language in front of us, and we found a wolf pack in front of us. It was a small wolf pack. A small wolf pack has more than ten people, a medium-sized wolf pack has more than thirty people, and a large wolf pack has more than sixty people.

The team members behind quickly dispersed and surrounded the wolf pack. Mu Bei saw the hunting team members, who looked like the special forces in his previous life. They advanced and retreated in a measured manner, coordinated and acted quickly. Mu Bei also moved forward to ambush and wait. The leader issued an order to bypass the beast and the team members quickly launched an attack. The wolf pack was suddenly attacked and quickly broke out in all directions. The wolf king roared and the wolf pack quickly stabilized.

Unfortunately, it was too late. The team members quickly surrounded the wolf pack. Each team member was equipped with two spears. After a rain of spears, only four of the dozen Fanged Gray Wolves were left. Three were injured, and the other one was the wolf king who dodged all attacks. Several high-level warriors attacked together and the battle ended quickly.

After watching this battle, Mu Bei realized that the tacit understanding between them should be related to their usual training, otherwise, more than a dozen wolves were scattered, and almost all of them except the wolf king were killed by spears. This proves that they were not throwing spears blindly, but there must be a strict division of labor.

In the past, I read novels about primitive people who were stupid, but now I realize that what is written in novels is all lies. This level of coordination in collective hunting is something that even special forces cannot achieve. They have been honed through thousands of times, and it is not achieved by talking on paper.

The battlefield was quickly cleaned up, and everyone continued on their way, still without any sound. It seemed that everything that had just happened was an illusion. Mu Bei followed the team closely, always paying attention to the movements around him.

After a long period of intense concentration, everyone was a little tired. Mu Bei discovered that the more tired everyone was, the more focused they were. The reason was that when you relax, you become prey. This is the law of survival in the jungle that we have to recite since childhood.

The sky gradually darkened, and suddenly the person leading the way stopped. Mu Bei's body tensed up instantly. A hand was placed on Mu Bei's shoulder, and he whispered, "Relax, we have arrived at the camp, and we will stay here tonight." Mu Bei heard that this was his eldest brother's voice. His body slowly relaxed.

The people in front worked together to move the boulder, and the people behind quickly followed. Soon, more than 60 people entered the cave, and the people behind quickly closed the boulder. The cave was not straight, and it turned several corners before entering a hall the size of a basketball court. In the middle was a fire pit, and wood was piled against the wall.

The cave was built in a curved shape to block the light of the fire. A few people put down torches and lit the fire pit. In an instant, the whole hall was bright, and everyone began to chat quietly.
