Chapter 25 - The Last Wish of the Ancestors

"Could it be that it can improve your skin's appearance? It probably isn't improving your skin's appearance, it should be that the toxins in the body are eliminated, changing the physical condition." Mu Bei said in a daze.

"Can I have one, second brother? I want one. Many people want one now. Some even went to the leader to ask for it. The leader's daughter Yu also wants one, but she still can't get one after asking the leader several times."

"Did you two agree that you would come to my Yu to find his father? You two are really good. You don't exercise well, but start focusing on beauty care."

There are five little sisters in the tribe. They are all rebellious girls who are determined to be female totem warriors. They do what boys do, but they don't do what girls should do.

"If you don't give it to me, I'll tell Am, and then you won't be able to be dismissed as a fruit."

This is what everyone in the tribe does. They say nice things first, and if that doesn't work, they start threatening.

"Little sister, it's not that I won't give it to you. The Marrow Cleansing Fruit has already been handed over to the witch, and I don't have any! Why don't you go to the witch and ask for one?"

"Second brother, is there nothing to talk about? If you go and ask for it, there might be a possibility. I will definitely not get it. I will go back and tell Am." After saying that, he turned around and ran away.

"No matter what world they are in, women's obsession with beauty has never changed!" Mu Bei said with a wry smile.

As soon as Mu Bei stepped into the house, he heard Rong Zheng and his mother vividly describing the effects of the marrow cleansing fruit. Zhan and his father were invisible people, sitting next to them without saying a word. He just listened to the discussion between the mother and daughter.

Mu Bei wanted to run quickly, otherwise he might not be able to leave. He was just about to withdraw his foot that had stepped into the door.

"Where are you going? Come over here." Sang's voice rang out.

"Mom, I just remembered that I have something else to do. I'll eat later." Mu Bei said. As soon as he turned around, Rong handed a wooden stick to Mom. When Mu Bei saw the wooden stick, he went into the house and sat down obediently.

Zhan was trying to hold back his laughter, and it must have been very difficult for him because his whole body was shaking.

If you don't have any strength, you can just pretend you saw nothing and eat and drink as usual.

"Take out two, one for Rong and me, mother and daughter." Sang said.

"They were all given to Wu. I don't have any left. If you don't believe me, you can ask my father. He was there at the time, and Rong was there too." Mu Bei said with a bitter face.

Mu Bei did not mention war, because Mu Bei knew that if he did, war would definitely backfire.

"You came out of my belly, is there anyone who knows you better than me? Remember you and Rong hiding in bed eating meat? Everyone else was starving, Zhan was crying with hunger, but you had meat to eat, and it wasn't the first time you did something like this. You said you had good stuff, would you not keep some for yourself?"

Rong then realized that his second brother already had it, and he didn't need to ask Wu for it. He was so angry that he stepped on Mu Bei's foot and said, "I let you lie to me, and I'm still nice to you."

"Am, don't listen to what my little sister says. The effect of the Marrow Cleansing Fruit has not been confirmed yet. If the effect is stable, I will definitely leave a few for you." Mu Bei said directly.

"Hasn't it been confirmed that marrow cleansing and meridian cutting can be done? Why are you not sure again?" Sang asked puzzledly.

"It's all speculation now. We have to wait and see the actual results. Once Uncle Yong finishes the test, the results will basically be out." Mu Bei confessed.

"Were the things you said to Wu just to fool them?" Li asked seriously.

"It's not all nonsense. The correctness of the guess remains to be tested."

"Old Man, you are just fooling me, but you can even make it sound like a liar. You are really good." Zhan said with contempt from the side.

"Brother, if you had used your brain at that time, the tribe would have discovered the efficacy of the Marrow Cleansing Fruit by now. Why would you wait until now to test it again? You are such a blockhead."

Li was standing by and thinking of something. The more he thought about it, the uglier his expression became. He grabbed the stick next to him and was about to hit Mu Bei.

Mu Bei had already realized that he had let the cat out of the bag. When he saw his father's face change, he was ready to run away.

Mu Bei shouted as he ran: "Father, don't get me wrong, I'm talking about my eldest brother."

Am grabbed Li's arm and said, "Why do you have to? Bei just said a few words, why are you so angry?"

Li said angrily: If I don't beat him, he will turn the tables. Rong said beside him: "When the second brother was picking fruits, he said that the eldest brother was like his father."

"What's there to be angry about when Zhan is like you?" Father was so angry that he couldn't speak. Sang said puzzledly.

Rong Gong said, "Second brother, what you mean is that if big brother was smarter, the tribe would have discovered the marrow cleansing fruit long ago. Big brother is just a bit stupid."

Sang still didn't quite understand, so Rong said directly: "Second brother means that eldest brother is as stupid as father."

Sang chuckled, then held back his laughter when he realized it was inappropriate, and said, "You must have misunderstood Bei's meaning. Bei must have meant that Zhan is a strong warrior like my father, and is also frank, brave, and straightforward like my father, never beating around the bush, just like our ancestors who were brave and direct and never backed down."

After being disturbed by Sang, Rong's energy quickly subsided. Rong wanted to say something, but was glared at by Am, so he held it back.

Li said seriously, "There is one more thing I want to tell you. The tribe is preparing to move in the spring."

This news was like a major earthquake to the people in the tribe, because their ancestors had lived here for generations, and many people, including Sang, could not accept the sudden relocation.

"Why do we have to move suddenly? Is the tribe unsafe?" Sang asked blankly.

"You should ask your good son. He came up with the idea. It was also him who persuaded the witch and the leader." Li said helplessly.

"Rong, call your second brother back to me and tell him that if he doesn't come back, I will catch him and beat him so hard that he can't get out of bed." Sang shouted.

Rong quickly brought Mu Bei back home, but Mu Bei stood at the door and refused to go in.

"Come and tell me no one will beat you now." Sang said with a serious face.

"I'm not going in. Just because you said you won't beat me now doesn't mean you won't beat me later."

"Count to three." Sang held up three fingers and said. Mu Bei had no choice but to go into the house.

"Why do we need to move? If you can't convince me today, you won't be able to escape this beating." Sang asked.

Two were gloating, and one was worried. As for Sang, his face was full of anger and he was about to explode.

"For the tribe, for becoming stronger, for a better survival." Mu Bei said calmly. Am's anger seemed to have dissipated a lot.

Mu Bei continued, "It's very safe here, but it also limits the development of the tribe. For the tribe to develop, there must be enough people. Our current strength can support more people, but we can't produce more people."

"You mean living in a cave will affect fertility?" Sang said. Mu Bei repeated what the leader said.

After listening to this, Sang said, "Your grandfather also discovered this problem, but he couldn't change the situation of the tribe at that time, so he had to put it on hold. The tribe was going downhill, and many people knew it but didn't have the courage to make changes. Bei, you are great. Your grandfather's last wish may come true in you."

Sang continued in a slightly sad voice: "Bei, do you know how long the tribe has lived here? It has been a thousand years since we moved here. I guess many people in the tribe have forgotten where the ancestral temple is. Am hopes that one day you can lead the tribe back to the ancestral temple and let the descendants who drove us out of the ancestral temple see that as long as we never surrender, we can go back one day." After Am finished speaking, tears welled up in his eyes.

Li stood up and hugged Am and said to Mu Bei: "This is the wish of our people and also your grandfather's wish before his death. I hope you can fulfill the common wish of our ancestors and let our totem pole take root in the ancestral home again."
