Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Tanjiro

Hikari had known Bulma's family was wealthy.

But knowing it from anime and experiencing it firsthand were two different things.

While waiting for the test results, Bulma gave her a tour of the Capsule Corporation estate—a castle-like complex that left Hikari speechless.

She also met Bulma's parents.

They greeted her like it was perfectly normal for their daughter to bring home a mysterious girl from another dimension.

Then again…

Even Vegeta hadn't fazed them. Compared to that, Hikari was tame.

Her mind, however, was on something else:

"Um… Bulma, how much do those Capsules cost? Do you have cheaper models?"

The Dragon Ball world was full of treasures.

Forget the wish-granting Dragon Balls—there were Senzu Beans, Flying Nimbus, Ultra Divine Water, the Time Chamber…

But Bulma didn't know Goku yet, nor where Kame House was. Hunting those items down would be a nightmare.

So Hikari set her sights on technology. Capsules were plenty useful.

Bulma, surprisingly, was generous.

"Capsules? They're not priceless. I'll give you a set next time you visit."

"That's too much…"

"Don't worry about it! We're friends now, right? And I might need your help when I start collecting the Dragon Balls."

Her eyes gleamed mischievously.

"You're a strong ninja, right?"

"You could say that." Hikari smiled faintly. "Let me know when you start your journey."

Right now, the world was relatively safe. No aliens yet. Tao Pai Pai and the Red Ribbon Army were probably the biggest threats.

Learning to control "ki" would be great. And maybe—just maybe—she'd get a wish.

---

A few days later…

Hikari returned to her world.

Following Minato's instructions, she cracked open the seal just enough to insert a miniature scanner. Bulma used the data to simulate the explosion, then delivered a custom bomb.

[Nameless: I'm starting now.]

[Bulma: Good luck, Hikari-chan! If anything goes wrong, warp back immediately.]

"...Hikari-chan, huh..."

She couldn't help thinking of some annoying mascot character saying that.

[The Eternal Hokage: Be careful, Miss Hikari. If you see Naruto, let me know how he's doing.]

[Nameless: Don't worry!]

One thing still bugged her:

Were she and Minato in the same timeline?

If the group could pull from different worlds, they could also pull from different eras. Maybe his Konoha had a living Minato.

But if the timelines matched…

Then Naruto was still a lonely kid. Not yet in the academy.

What would Minato think… if he saw how his son was living?

"…And who the heck is that 'Hardheaded Kid'? Still hasn't said a word. Is he shy or something?"

She made a mental note to message him later.

For now—

Haaah…

She carved an opening, placed the bomb, and activated it.

Click. Tick… tick…

BOOM!!!

Light, heat, sound—everything erupted in an instant. Even with goggles and earplugs, she felt the pressure slam into her. The weakened seal cracked.

"Susanoo!!"

Dark red chakra exploded from her body, forming skeletal armor to shield her.

It wasn't perfect. But it was enough.

Thirty seconds passed. The tremors ended.

A shaft of moonlight pierced through the shattered rock above.

She leapt from the coffin, bounded off the jagged walls, and emerged into a quiet forest.

Her boots landed on soft earth. She breathed deeply.

"Finally… free!"

[Nameless: Thanks, Fourth Hokage. And you too, Bulma. I'm ending the stream for now—I'll contact you once things settle down.]

[The Eternal Hokage: Stay safe. Reach out if you need anything.]

[Bulma: Same here! And if you see any cute guys, send pics!]

[Nameless: Yeah, yeah.]

[Hardheaded Kid: Um…]

"…?"

Hikari blinked. The Hardheaded Kid finally speaks?

[Nameless @ Hardheaded Kid: Sorry, can you tell us your name?]

[Hardheaded Kid: …Hello! My name is Kamado Tanjiro! I didn't know how to speak up earlier, but it turns out you just have to focus your thoughts to turn them into words—this is amazing!]
