Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

We reached the scene where the first crowd has dispersed, each going their own way, living their day, however it pans out. And another crowd came into their place.

Only now, yellow stripes have been pulled, closing the area. And this crowd of bustling bees, actually know what they are doing. Running around cleaning the scene, collecting evidence, taking pictures, finding the secrets that are being held in every corner.

I stand in the balcony, in the same place....., hey, I don't even know her name yet! Anyway! I stand where she had been. I can see what she saw last. Her final view.

It is a nice scene. Quite picturesque.

On the right, I can see the vast park, where the neighborhood takes their kids to play and socialize.

On the left, you can see the community school from afar.

Along the street are the buildings with cafes, shops and diners open below them.

I can see people walking up and down the street. Some smiling, others crying, some laughing, others on their phones, talking.

There is a couple fighting in one corner, while another making out on the opposite side.

I see two kids chasing one another. Playing catch. Or, are they racing?

I think they are a brother and his younger sister. Of course! He is letting her win.

"Sad, isn't it?" Came a voice from behind, snapping me back to the present.

"Jane Anne", said the lady, stretching her hand. "I live in that apartment, next door."

"Jack Brown", I replied, shaking her hand. "Do you know what happened here?"

"Oh, it's a shock, what happened! We never saw it coming.

Sarah was an amazing woman. Lively, hard-working and loved by all.

She always had a charming smile adorning her face, that you simply had to reciprocate. You can't hold on to anything negative around her. Whatever you've been through, she can always make it go away.

My kids simply adored her.

She was a great friend.

This neighborhood will simply never be the same!"

Well, this story "simply" doesn't fit the case.

Either someone didn't "love" her that much, or she wasn't as happy as she showed.

Well, at least now I have a name. Sarah Parker.
