Chapter 3 - gain attribute

Chapter 3: Attribute Gain

Veer was seeing the fierce battle, but at first, he only got a few attribute points. The distance was too long, and he could only pick up attributes on the side of the battlefield. However, the fight was becoming fiercer and fiercer.

The duel was between two mighty Level 9 warriors—the Great Elder of the Mishra family and the First Elder of the Singh family. The battle was for the ownership of a newly discovered spirit mine on the outskirts of Amar Nagar City. Both families had long been at odds, but this time, they had chosen to settle the matter in a public duel.

The Great Elder of the Mishra family, Ritesh Mishra, wielded powerful wind blades with his inherited talent, while the Singh family's elder used blazing fireballs, a fearsome fire-elemental talent. The crowd watched in awe as both elders jumping and clashed in mid-air, displaying extraordinary power and cultivation.

In this world, some people awakened inherited talents or special physiques that granted them unique skills. Monsters, too, possessed bloodline talents even devils and asurs and others . The higher the talent, the more devastating its effects in battle. Skills were also influenced by cultivation; the stronger the cultivator, the more powerful the skill.

As Ritesh and the Singh elder clashed repeatedly, Veer kept his eyes on the attribute bubbles falling from their attacks:

\[Wind Blade +1]

\[Fire Ball +1]

\[Wind Steps Technique +2]

\[Natural Energy (Warrior Level 9) +3]

"These drops are just heavens-defying for me!" Veer exclaimed.

A system message rang in his mind:

\[Attributes detected within 50 meters. Do you want to collect them?]

"Yes, yes! Why not?!" Veer mentally shouted.

A surge of energy entered his body. His bones cracked faintly, his blood boiled, and his senses sharpened. A flood of information streamed into his mind.

Though he was still only at Warrior Level 1, Veer was thrilled. This kind of progress was something normal people could not dream of in such a short time.

The battle reached its climax. Ritesh Mishra feinted a fireball and suddenly struck the Singh family elder square in the chest with a crushing fist. Blood sprayed from the elder's mouth as he collapsed to the ground, defeated.

"The Mishra family wins!" someone shouted from the crowd.

The audience erupted in mixed cheers and gasps. The ownership of the spirit mine had been decided.

Veer was about to leave when he saw attribute bubbles falling from the injured Singh elder and other exhausted elder .

\[Natural Energy +20]

\[Strength +3]

\[Defense +2]

And many attribute

But before Veer could move, Ritesh Mishra approached the injured elder with a cold glint in his eyes. He raised his hand, preparing to deliver a fatal blow.

Suddenly, a terrifying aura swept over the battlefield like a tsunami.

BOOM!

Everyone, including Veer, felt a weight press down on them like a mountain. Most people fell to their knees or bent over in submission.

A man slowly walked toward the dueling platform.

Veer's eyes widened. "Father…"

It was Dev Singh—the head of the Singh family and Veer's father. Known throughout Amar Nagar City as one of its two most powerful warriors, Dev Singh had the aura of a beast ready to strike.

Only one person in the city could match him—the Mishra family head, Samsher Mishra.

Right on cue, Samsher Mishra appeared, his own Natural Energy flaring like a raging storm. The pressure he released countered Dev Singh's energy perfectly. For a moment, the air felt like it might tear apart under the weight of these two powers.

Dev Singh narrowed his eyes. "You're going too far."

Samsher Mishra smirked. "We won. The spirit mine is ours."

Dev gritted his teeth. "Fine. I'll see you next time."

With that, he turned and left, the Singh family following behind.

The Mishra family also withdrew. Gradually, the crowd dispersed.

Except for one boy.

Veer remained. His eyes sparkled with excitement. As soon as everyone was gone, he stepped onto the battlefield.

The ground was littered with attribute bubbles. They glowed like pearls in the sun.

"System, capture all warrior-level attributes in this area," Veer commanded.

Energy surged into him like a flood. His veins lit up with power. His muscles expanded slightly, his bones hardened, and his heart beat faster.

Veer looked at the panel and laughed heartily.

"I'm already a Level 7 warrior! That's a high-level warrior!"

In the cultivation world, warriors were classified into stages:

* Levels 1 to 3: Initial Stage

* Levels 4 to 6: Middle Stage (twice as strong as Initial Stage)

* Levels 7 to 9: High Stage (five times as strong as Middle Stage)

He was now at Level 7, capable of defeating most people in the city.

Just as he was about to leave, he noticed five large attribute bubbles floating outside the dueling platform.

They were brighter, denser, and more refined than any he had seen.

"Are these… from the family heads?" Veer whispered.

He approached cautiously.

\[High-grade Attributes Detected. Source: Dev Singh, Samsher Mishra. Absorb?]

"Absolutely, yes!"

The moment he absorbed them, a loud crackling sound rang from within his body. His body trembled. Bones shifted. Muscles twitched.

A new level.

"Even though there were only five attribute drops, they were high-quality. I've already reached Level 8. One more push, and I'll become a Level 9 warrior… the peak of the Warrior realm."

Looking at the empty battlefield where titans had clashed, Veer clenched his fists.

"It's good to have this Attribute System. I can grow faster and stronger… easily. No one will look down on me anymore."
